To the eye of any human, there are only two obvious sides when it comes to the existence of aliens. One either believes there is something beyond norms that exists in the further universe we have come to know, or one does simply not believe. Although, both positions can be broken down into the different reasons why someone believes aliens are real or not. For the past 100 years, there has been a great discussion of the uncertainty behind the truth of alien’s existence. According to the Newsweek article “Two Numbers [...]”, more than half of Americans believe that there is life beyond our world, in the far universe (2015). It is about 54% of the people just in America that believe in aliens, but there is beyond more people all around the world …show more content…
Democrats are firm believers of “extraterrestrial intelligence” (Main, 2015). The biggest funding for extraterrestrial intelligence has been the Democrats. The rest of the 54% of the alien believers, are simply people who believe in life and people who claim they have witnessed UFO’s. According to the The Sun, Josie Griffiths wrote that UFO sightings have increased drastically over the 100 years (Griffiths, 2017). Although no one has actually been abducted by an actual alien or UFO, many people have claimed to have seen a UFO and encountering one as well. According to the Kepler spacecraft team, “they have announced the discovery of 1,284 planets” (Frank, 2016). This proves that there is still the unknown to discover, and as of right now, aliens could be apart of that ‘unknown’. If there are so many planets in universe, some might argue that Earth cannot be the only planet that can sustain life. Or maybe scientist should look at the fact, that maybe aliens are the future humans, the future life of earth. Maybe the aliens are waiting for every human to extinct, just like the dinosaurs, so earth could possibly be their new planet. If life existed before humans, why can there not be life after humans? However, there is still about 46% of people that do no not believe in the existence of aliens. Douglas Main in The Newsweek says that about
All of these definitions are exact and significant to this research because sometimes it is obvious people are unaware of the true meanings of these words. The meanings of extraterrestrials and aliens have been commonly misinterpreted. An extraterrestrial is something, living or nonliving, which is not from earth, while an alien can be something from earth, but is not native to its surroundings. An unidentified flying object is something that has never been officially recorded. In this case, the witnesses refer to th...
Ever look up at the sky and just wonder if there is life anywhere else? Have you seen anything in the sky that is almost unexplainable? What if your thoughts really came true? The thought of the existence of aliens seems to have been around since the beginning of time. There is one incident in particular that really hits home when talking about the subject, the UFO incident of Roswell, New Mexico.
Then one might look at the way many believe the conspiracy. One might also be interested to understand the process that goes through conspiracists mind that allows them to believe something that would normally seem ridiculous. There is little to no factual evidence that indicates there is alien activity that is linked to area 51. Still, there are plenty of people posting stories of encounters. One of the reasons people are intrigued by the area is the heavy security that keeps them watch around the clock.
Sure we've all seen movies and read books about extraterrestrial beings landing on the Earth and conquering the human race. And millions of us have viewed TV shows like "The X-files" and "Third Rock From the Sun." These forms of popular culture share a common thread -- extraterrestrial life. Yet the underlying question is, does the mass media take extraterrestrialism seriously? Or do they mock it? Or do they simply exaggerate its credibility? In the majority of these cases, the mass media not only takes on the third mode of exaggeration, it shifts focus from more important and serious issues such as extraterrestrial life at the cellular level. The media loves to play with the minds of viewers, making them believe in something which realistically is probably untrue.
Over a 1950 summer lunch at the Los Alamos National Laboratory, the great physicist Enrico Fermi asked his colleagues an unexpected question – “Don’t you ever wonder where everybody is?” Laughter went around the table as everyone immediately knew that he was talking about extraterrestrial intelligence [1]. If life arises fairly commonly, as Fermi believed, it follows that there should be advanced civilizations with the desire to visit and colonize Earth close enough to do so. However, there is no incontrovertible evidence of aliens on Earth, either now or in the past. This is called the Fermi Paradox. The lack of observational evidence for extraterrestrial intelligence is known as the ‘Great Silence.’[13]
Today we live in a world where many human beings move from one place to another. We live in a world where individuals in most cases move away or even escape their own country in order to live a better life than they had before. Though in the United States of America those who move in this country are called in such an unusual way. Those who move into this country, where I and million of U.S citizens live, are called the word “alien”, which according to the Oxford English Dictionary is someone who is “born in, or owing allegiance to, a foreign country.” When using the word “alien”, it mainly directs to immigrants from foreign countries in the world. When using the word “alien”, many individuals might immediately think of an alien who lives in
Researchers have found a few different theories that can explain some aspects of people claiming to experience alien abductions, but they have not been able to account for every abduction case (Pelletier and Patry). So far, there has not been a theory that was able to perfectly decode the mystery of alien abductions (Pelletier and Patry). All of the theories of why “abductees” claim to be abducted by aliens are possible, however, they require further research and examination. The concept of extraterrestrials has affected many aspects of society. Relying on just what the “abductees” say as true evidence is an important decision that can change the universe as we know it.
... be made in opposition, you're probably thinking, “They are prototype Military Aircraft” or “They were nothing but hoaxes”. While I am sure that many of them are secret craft and Hoaxes. I must ask you do you really believe that our Military would field a strange hieroglyphic Acorn flying through the sky only for it to strangely crash? Or a group of Teenage pranksters somehow built a catapult that launched a huge metal Acorn across 6 different states? With this in mind surely it is not hard to believe that: Aliens, Do, Exist.
At birth everyone is given a set of identities but as they grow up and find their place in the world with people they love those identities will change. I believe that changing identities throughout life will help a person develop into a better person. If a person has identified as multiple different things in his or her past then he or she will be more willing to accept and appreciate those who are different. I grew up being taught to always treat others the way I wanted to be treated and at times that can be hard, but I have always strived to be a kind and caring person.
I went onto Google and typed in ‘Is the government hiding aliens?’ and around 625,000 results appeared in 0.74 seconds. I clicked on the second result which took me to www.dailymail.com.uk which talked about how an old defense minister claims that aliens have visited earth before and that the government is most definitely hiding them. The next website I explored was www.telegraph.com and the value of their website was very important. I learned that Area 51 supposedly does not do research on aliens, but a NASA worker claims that there is aliens the government is hiding. This information will definitely help me answer my research question later on in my
Do you ever consider the idea of the aliens visiting the Earth? If so, would that mean that there is a possibility of aliens coming to earth thousands of years ago? What proof is there to support this theory? For years, researchers have been finding surprising pieces of evidence for this theory, such as ancient religious texts, possible interactions with humans, artwork from ancient cultures of strange creatures, ancient artifacts from around the world, or evidence from the Bible.
There are numerous of different movies, books, and TV shows on how humans think aliens interact, look similar to, and what the media portrays aliens to be like. Occasionally, most will stumble across news articles with a variety of related headings about aliens, UFO’s, or recent known abduction stories. Every person has their own theories and or thoughts on these basic questions: do aliens exist? Could the government be covering up real life “space ships” or encounters? Countless folks have claimed to witness or have fanciful stories that have fascinated countless while several others are turned away. There are Videos, pictures and pieces of physical evidence to support nearly all of these stories. Even more alarming,
The thought of government cover-ups have been long discussed. The government has always, in the past, tried to keep any sign of aliens, whether it be pictures from space, to crashes on earth, to a low or nonexistent level. Just recently has the government been harassed to the point where they actually gave us clues to alien existence. It has in some ways been believed that the government has worked in partnership with popular movie directors, to produce alien movies to ease the thought that we may not be alone. Such movies as ôThe Arrivalö and the ever popular ôIndependence Dayö are very good examples of well convincing alien movies. If this is true, they did a good job, because statistics state that 75% of people today believe that there is some kind of intelligent life forms besides ourselves in the universe. That is very convincing compared to the 20% whom believed 25 years ago. ô New opinions are always suspected, and usually opposed, without any other reason but because they are not already common.ö (MacGowan 261)
Many people who live on Earth are close minded to what is really out there in the universe. They cannot even begin to fathom the vastness of it and how Earth is just a tiny little speck compared to everything else out there. From the planets to the stars and out towards the edge of the unknown, we can only see what science provides us with. From this, we know that we are nothing but a tiny planet located in a solar system of millions in a galaxy of many more in the universe.
Undoubtedly, with over 10 000 cases, the sheer amount of reported UFO sightings and abductions is startling. In July 1947, an airborne object crashed on a ranch near Roswell, New Mexico. Rancher Mac Braezel examined the debris which appeared to be mostly metallic and plastic scraps. However, it was damaged beyond identification of its origin. He brought some of the material to his neighbours who attempted burning it, cutting it, and yet, it would not be damaged. They also tried bending it, too which it would dent momentarily before peculiarly molding back to its original form. Mac hurriedly contacted the local sheriff, who then, in disbelief, contacted two military officers to the debris field, also in dubiety, they brought some of the material they had found to the Roswell Army Air Base. Shortly thereafter, another local along with some students on an expedition, discovered a disk-shaped aircraft about two miles from the debris field, which had four small humanoid bodies scattered around its vicinity....
