To the eye of any human, there are only two obvious sides when it comes to the existence of aliens. One either believes there is something beyond norms that exists in the further universe we have come to know, or one does simply not believe. Although, both positions can be broken down into the different reasons why someone believes aliens are real or not. For the past 100 years, there has been a great discussion of the uncertainty behind the truth of alien’s existence. According to the Newsweek article “Two Numbers [...]”, more than half of Americans believe that there is life beyond our world, in the far universe (2015). Democrats are firm believers of “extraterrestrial intelligence” (Main, 2015). The biggest funding for extraterrestrial intelligence has been the Democrats. The rest of the 54% of the alien believers, are simply people who believe in life and people who claim they have witnessed UFO’s. According to the The Sun, Josie Griffiths wrote that UFO sightings have increased drastically over the 100 years (Griffiths, 2017). Although no one has actually been abducted by an actual alien or UFO, many people have claimed to have seen a UFO and encountering one as well. According to the Kepler spacecraft team, “they have announced the discovery of 1,284 planets” (Frank, 2016). This proves that there is still the unknown to discover, and as of right now, aliens could be apart of that ‘unknown’. If there are so many planets in universe, some might argue that Earth cannot be the only planet that can sustain life. Or maybe scientist should look at the fact, that maybe aliens are the future humans, the future life of earth. Maybe the aliens are waiting for every human to extinct, just like the dinosaurs, so earth could possibly be their new planet. If life existed before humans, why can there not be life after humans?
