There are many disadvantages of using the Internet like distraction, being overloaded, incorrect information.
First, distraction when we can’t focus in one part the lead to undesirable result. People who do many assignment at the same time became less inventive and less productive (Carr,2010).That mean people who try to do more than one thing in the same time loss focus. Their work became lower quality and the had low results than others who didn't. Because student care about their results distraction one of the biggest threat to get lower score. Students who was allowed to use Internet in their lecture did poorly in the test. However student who wasn't allowed to use their computers did better (Carr,2010). That shows that students are better without Internet . Internet make them lose focus in the lecture and that lead to lower grade. As a result

Some people think because they lesson or see that they are learning but that not the case. Americans consume 1.7 trillion hours of digital media. The average is 15,5 hours per person in one day. (Purcell and Ranine,2014). Large amount of information will make you overloaded and lose focus .Furthermore you can forget all the information because it came fast and your brain couldn't absorbs all that information. We learn quickly than we forget quickly we put the information in the short-term (Carr,2010).When information store in the short-term in the brain .The brain doesn't have enough time to process this information to save it as something valuable. This valuable information you could need it in the future. The internet is our conduit for accessing a wide variety of information. In his article, “Is Google Making Us Stupid,” Nicholas Carr discusses how the use of the internet affects our thought process in being unable to focus on books or longer pieces of writing. The author feels that “someone, or something, has been tinkering with [his] brain” over the past few years (Carr 731). While he was easily able to delve into books and longer articles, Carr noticed a change in his research techniques after starting to use the internet. He found that his “concentration often [started] to drift after two or three pages” and it was a struggle to go back to the text (Carr 732). His assertion is that the neural circuits in his brain have changed as a result of surfing endlessly on the internet doing research. He supports this statement by explaining how his fellow writers have had similar experiences in being unable to maintain their concentrations. In analyzing Carr’s argument, I disagree that the internet is slowly degrading our capacity for deep reading and thinking, thereby making us dumber. The Web and Google, indeed, are making us smarter by allowing us access to information through a rapid exchange of ideas and promoting the creativity and individualization of learning.

Multitasking students can miss many of the necessary information that they really need to pass tests and understand lessons when they multitask during the lectures, which causes them to get a low grade on their tests. “Many experienced multitaskers have experienced an unexpected thing when, for example, their e-mail service was disabled for a period of time. They discovered that they were actually more productive during that period of time” (Multitasking 758). To understand why there would be a need for technology in the classroom you must put yourself in the student’s shoes. Let us imagine there is a student in a class full of two hundred plus people. This said student is listening to the prepared lecture for the day and the professor explains a concept. The student does not fully grasp the information so instead of adding to the numerous questions the other two hundred students are asking, she pulls out her laptop. Just a few clicks away is an explanation of the topic. She now understands and is able to continue paying attention to the lecture.
