Every year during the month of February, the biggest event of every NFL season is hosted which is called the Super Bowl, the annual championship game of the National Football League, the highest level of professional football in the United States. The main lead of the Super Bowl is that two American football teams play against each other to become the top NFL team of the year. This year of 2016 the two football teams that will be the main event on TV will be the Carolina Panthers versus the Denver Broncos. Many arguments and articles have been and are being written to predict who will win the Super Bowl in 2016. The argument ‘The Carolina Panthers can beat the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl 50’ (claim) is strong in the article “Why the Carolina …show more content…
The reason is relevant (connected) because although these five isolated players are almost unknown, they are actually more reliable and helpful than most people think because of their roles that they play. According to “they allow Newton to be comfortable in the pocket, even against the blitz. They 're a big reason the Panthers ranked second in the NFL in rushing during the regular season and have 31 consecutive games (including playoffs) with at least 100 yards rushing. That has created a balance that has been crucial in past Super Bowl championship teams”, the evidence is valid with the reason, because the fact is that these five unrecognized players are actually helpful to their quarterback Cam Newton and are in second in NFL rushing, making them actually useful during a blitz. The evidence is cited because the reader can tell the information is based on statistics of consecutive games and rushing yards. The evidence is not credible because there is no source if it’s proven true that these 5 unsung players have actually scored 31 consecutive games including playoffs with at least 100 yards rushing altogether or not at …show more content…
The author believes that the Panthers coach Ron Rivera is an inspirational and encouraging leader, which would be crucial during the Super Bowl. The reason is relevant (connected) because if the Panthers have an encouraging and reliable coach, it will be crucial that he plans out how the Panthers will win the Super Bowl since he had experienced before. According to “he [Ron Rivera] was a linebacker for the 1985 Chicago Bears team that won the championship. He was the defensive coordinator in Chicago in 2006 when the Bears reached the title game. He has a unique ability to keep players focused on the moment. In part because of what he experienced with the "Super Bowl Shuffle" Bears in '85, he understands the importance of letting players be who they are. That in turn helps the Panthers play loose. That 'll be particularly crucial during the media circus; the Super Bowl”, The evidence is valid with the reason, because since Ron Rivera is experienced and knows what to do, he will be helpful in guiding the Panthers into victory during the Super Bowl. The evidence is cited because the reader can see the information of Riviera 's past experiences with his previous team the Chicago Bears. The evidence is credible because Rivera’s past times from working with previous teams are from his own experiences and views, so they are true
5. Does the NFL practice contingency planning for the Super Bowl? If so, please explain.
Reilly uses rhetorical questions to show how the love for football goes beyond the sport itself. In his second rhetorical question, he asks “how do you replace the men?” after 9/11 took the lives of twelve football players and two coaches. The later rhetorical questions (with the exception of two) focus on the individual men who lost their lives and how it would be so hard to find a replacement for their specific position. By focusing on the men rather than the actual sport of football, it shows that the men are more than just a team, they are family. Each one of the men who lost their lives brought something unique to the team and the bonds they created with one another will last for a lifetime. This helps contribute to the bittersweet

Predictions like these can be really obvious even though we are so far away from the preseason. How easy would it be for anyone to pick Fletcher Cox, Jordan Matthews, Ryan Mathews, Malcolm Jenkins, and Sam Bradford for a list of impact guys to look out for? For this reason, I chose five guys who we should be paying close attention to
Mascots are beloved figure heads for sports teams everywhere almost every sport team has a mascot of some kind; that said, sometimes instead of bring people together it can cause a rift between two cultures. Such as Washington’s D.C.’s football team the “Redskins” often the word redskin was a derogatory word used against the Native Americans and while it may seem as though paying homage to the Native American community the overall stereotyped actions of the fans themselves as well as the sugarcoating of the previously racial slur has done little to bring the two cultures together and instead created a larger disconnect between white and Native American. The name Redskin should be retired and replaced so that rather

In sports a team will do whatever it takes to win. When teams do something different it can create controversy. That is what happens in Football Champ. Troy is a twelve year old boy. He is a football genius. When a team lines up to run a play on offense, Troy can predict the play that is going to be run. He gets hired by the Atlanta Falcons to help their defense. This book is about what happens when the league discovers Troy. In this journal I will be visualizing the scenes from Troy’s junior football team, evaluating the Falcons use of Troy and they way that the National Football League reacts, and making a prediction about Troy’s future.
The super bowl is arguably one of the best times of the year for friends and family to hangout and watch some football, especially if your team is competing in it. This year, super bowl Lll (52) was one to remember. It was against the defending champions (New England Patriots), and the well-respected Philadelphia Eagles. Emotions were high and the two teams were ready to compete in the most important game of the year. They both came off of 13-3 seasons, and both had first round byes, with few challenges to getting to the super bowl. It was now just a matter of who could beat the other team out.
Who would have thought that a young man from Jackson, Michigan, about an hour from Detroit and twenty-five minutes from East Lansing would be a hero in so many ways? We all crave heroes, but it is rare to find someone whose life and work reflect positive, value-driven principles. This individual is admired by sport fans, parents, and even competitors. This role-model is known as Coach Tony Dungy, a class act who knows how to get the job done while keeping his priorities intact while he’s doing it. This paper will identify the keys, philosophy, and theories Coach Dungy uses that makes him successful as role-model.
That's because the Panthers' offense, led by superstar quarterback Cam Newton, led the NFL with 31.3 points per game in the regular season. In the playoffs, the team has averaged a staggering 40 points per game. Newton, who won the NFL Most Valuable Player Award on Saturday, led the regular season with 45 total touchdowns (35 passing, 10 rushing) and became the first player in NFL history with at least 30 passing touchdowns and 10 rushing scores in a single season.
Coaching, however challenging, is a great way to influence the lives of others while also building their character. For as long as there have been sports, there have been people teaching the sport to the players and making them better at it. Coaches must have certain qualities in order to obtain success. One must also look at a coach’s motivation for his job, his passion for what he does, his methods for coaching, and how he became a coach in order to fully understand him. There are many questions someone may want to ask a coach about his profession if they are interested in coaching. Some questions would include: Why did he choose this as a profession? How did he get into coaching? What does one have to do to get a job as a coach? How does a coach become successful? I aim to answer all of these questions and more in my paper.
The telecast of the Super Bowl 50 will air on February 7 2016, with an extraordinary amount of excitement connect to this year’s game. Coaches and analysts on the gridiron always use the old adage that defense wins championships, but in an era where offensive strategy and athleticism continues to evolve, the latter is putting the former to the ultimate test. An area that many look at is how necessary a formidable defense is in order to secure a victory in any football game since pass-happy explosiveness radiates from many offenses of today. That is usually something a football coach has to contemplate in his career, whether to go to the fun and sometimes fancy offense or go to the more tough side of the ball in defense. Offense can be the more flashy one that brings the fans excitement. It is most often the one that gets people to come to the games, but if you are a coach you don’t care who comes to the games all you care about is winning. Defense, however can be more of the smash mouth, hard hitting, tough football that people who love and understand the game like the most. It can cause those big hits that sound like they could be heard from
One of the most widely watched sporting event is the Super Bowl. Before the game can begin the captains of both teams meet in the middle of the field for a coin flip. The coin flip is called by the visiting captain, and decides whether the winner will receive or flip and what goal his team will defend. The coin flip allows each team to have an equally likely chance of winning the flip. This method of deciding winners and losers is used in many other sports and can even be used in regular decision making. The main reason is because there is a fifty-fifty chance of each outcome occurring.
This essay will discuss the philosophy, pedagogy and the style/methods of the coach. “A coaching philosophy is a set of values and behaviours that serve to guide actions of a coach” (Wilcox and Trudel, 1998) p-57 in USC, this will elaborate more on where it would be used, how it would be used, what impact it has, examples of when it has been used and a practical example of when the coach’s philosophy has worked. The type of style and method is an important subsection, and plays a key role in sports coaching which will be detailed in the next paragraph on where it would be used, how it would be used, what impact it has, examples of when it has been used and a practical example when the coach has found a success in the style and
