I beleive that some human lives are worth more than others because what if the person that dies is a rapist that hurts and destoyies peolpes lives. In the Popes words every one is equal in gods eyes but what about all the people that hurt and murder people that are in jail for the rest of there lives. Some people are worth more like teachers they get paid not even enough money to teach us kids that dont listen, and that dont even care about what you tell us to do. Another example would be police officers they put there life on the line for us and then peolple shoot them what kind of world do we live in its rediculous.
In the book the most dangerous game that we read in class it talked about how Rainsford at first thought how animals had no feelings but after he was hunted him self he realized that he was wrong. Not all people are valued the same as every body else like people that killing others and hurting people but there are some people that care and want people to be ok.

What truly defines the value of someone's life is looking at the basic necessity of every human life, the heart.
In his article entitled “Animal Liberation,” Peter Singer suggests that while animals do not have all of the exact same rights as humans, they do have an equal right to the consideration of their interests. This idea comes from the fact that animals are capable of suffering, and therefore have sentience which then follows that they have interests. Singer states “the limit to sentience...is the only defensible boundary of concern for interests of others” (807). By this, he means that the ability to feel is the only grounds for which rights should be assigned because all species of animals, including humans, have the ability, and therefore all animals have the right to not feel suffering and to instead feel pleasure.
Let us primarily take into consideration the aspect that Rainsford at first cares not for animals, but his view is altered by his experiences with Zaroff. First, we must prove that Rainsford really did not care for animals. Let us look at the conversation on the boat between Rainsford and Whitney. Here is a quote:

The short story “The Most Dangerous Game” by Richard Connell proves that life-endangering experiences can change a civilized person. To begin with, Rainsford is a civilized person that only hunts animals. When General Zaroff tells Rainsford about his idea of hunting humans, Rainsford replies, “Thank you, I’m a hunter, not a murderer.” Rainsford has a sense of humanity since Rainsford only wants to hunt animals, not humans. Rainsford begins to evolve when General Zaroff starts hunting him down in the forest.
There are many animal owners that believe abusing it is the only way to control and train it (Nine Reasons for Animal Abuse). This not only includes animals that are pets, it includes the ones that are in the performing business (Nine Reasons for Animal Abuse). Trainers that do not properly know how to get the animal to act as they want may result in using physical harm to initiate fear, and this will “teach” the animal to do as it is told, so it does not have to risk being abused all over again. As another reason as to why a person may not think of animal cruelty as something serious is due to what the philosopher Raymond G. Frey of Bowling Green State University had to say on the issue. His argument is based around his belief that because animals are not human, they do not have moral rights (The Animal Rights Debate). He also goes on to say that their lives do not have the same moral values as the lives of humans due to another belief that he possesses, which is thinking an animal does not undergo the same emotional and intellectual experiences as a human would (The Animal Rights Debate). While there are some that do not believe that animal cruelty is a serious issue because they have placed their trust in what Raymond G. Fray has said, there are others that simply think animals are a lower form of life (Missimer). These people conclude that
Human life is full of meaning. As humans, we assign value to many things. However, what happens when we assign a specific value to a human life? In the eyes of Mother Nature, creatures all co-exist in a carefully created balance. And yet, we, humans, have tipped this balance, using our natural advantages to destroy the lives of innocent animals. We use our intelligence as a weapon and kill those who have existed on this earth long before we did, because we are ruthless. But we are ruthless with a purpose. We believe that it’s justifiable to kill an animal if one of their kind has killed one of our own.
Some people’s lives are more valuable than others. This isn’t because of their net worth. It is the actions they perform and their status to us. Such as, President Obama is more heavily guarded than a high school student because he is the leader of the United States of America, so he is more valuable in the eyes of some Americans. However, some people are less valuable because of the crimes they have committed.
