Are humans still evolving? As society develops, humans are not only satisfied with the ability which gave from technology, but also looking forward to get more power from themselves. When people focus on analyzing the methods to improve human ability, they found out an important source of it, which is human evolving. Evolution is a process of developing over successive generations as a result of natural selection ("Evolve" 1). According to the theory of evolution which was proposed by Charles Robert Darwin, humans evolved by the other species hundred million years ago. With the changing of times, people are getting more powerful, and there is a question confused them: are humans still evolving? When people stop evolving, they will not control …show more content…

The most obvious sign is humans are still passing their genes by surviving. Take the example of smallpox. According to the article, a long time ago many people died because of smallpox, and then their genes were missing in human’s offspring. But since the disappearance of smallpox, these human genes were being continued (“Are human beings” 1). When people had new genes and changed the genes frequency, it actually played a huge role in the process of physiological evolution. Moreover, there are still some new genes generated by gene mutation. As people learned from biology class, gene mutation is the main way to change gene frequencies. Therefore, the continuous generation of new genes is an important sign of evolving. As the article about Tibetans observes “the Tibetans created more than 30 new forms of genes during those 100 generations” (qtd. in "Tibetans evolved" 1). The article also points out that there is special one generated by gene mutation in those genes, EPAS1, which can make Tibetans better adapted to high altitude and hypoxia environment ("Tibetans evolved" 1). In the same way, it has also been shown that humans are still affected by natural
