The term black tends to be synonymized with ghetto in a lot of people’s minds. They see a black as a person who is always loud, cursing, acting crazy, and using slang. However, blacks can be just as quiet, calm, and proper as anyone else. On the contrary, some people compare blacks to gangbangers and hot heads with short tempers. For the truth is, a black person can be as level headed as any other human being. Barrack Obama, Rosa Parks, and Martin Luther King Jr. are all well-known black people who do not act ghetto even when in a situation that others might and will be used in this essay as examples to prove the point that, just because people so, often categorize blacks as ghetto, does not mean they are actually ghetto. First, on the list of well-known black people who do not act ghetto is former president Barrack Obama. He had to endure many challenges while president but he never started acting ghetto. He was accused of not being born in America. Some ignorant person who was voting for Hillary Clinton instead of Obama decided to start a rumor that he was born in Kenya so therefore he was not qualified to be president …show more content…

Everyone knows the Rosa Parks story about he openly defied the bus driver. She did all this while staying calm and not acting ghetto. She did not go crazy on the bus driver for telling her to move she just held her ground. When the bus driver James Blake threatened to call the police on her (Thurber par 11) she did not start cursing and fussing at him. Even when she was arrested she did not start fighting she just let them do what they had to do. Even before this, she had had a problem with Blake. In 1943, Blake made Parks get off the city bus after she put in her fare and told her to re-board through the rear door. Before she could get on, he drove off, and left her at the curb (Thurber par 18) she did not go get her homies to find him and jump him she stayed
