I mold my passion into zealous dreams and single-mindedly pursue them. From the early days of tinkering with my mini mechanic set to the recent ones of improving the efficiency of solar cells, I have pursued varied interests, with my learning graph seeing a continuous positive increase. Every single conquest has carved its niche into my personality and helped me identify my career path. Art is an exacting field. It demands precision, tolerance and imagination. I learned patience and dedication when I bent over drawings and portraits for years, while trying to match them perfectly with the picture in my mind's eye. Several hours of practice a day for many years on vocal and instrumental music made me realize the benefits of hard work and perseverance. I stepped out of my comfort zone with theater and tapped my creative potential. Learning different speech patterns transformed me into an articulate presenter. Reading and writing continually helps to increase my acumen and express my thoughts in a cogent manner. I have developed a strong fondness for the physical sciences because of a penchant for intriguing physics and mathematics problems. After ranking in the 98th percentile in the Karnataka Common Entrance test for aspiring engineers, I chose to study in the undergraduate program in Mechanical Engineering at the MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology, Bangalore. I enjoyed every course in the program, applying myself intensely by attending many workshops and seminars held at my college as a student member of the Society of Mechanical Engineers, participating in visits to different industries arranged by the institute and taking up internships and projects at every opportunity. I was particularly attracted to the subjects Applied The... ... middle of paper ... ... Anthony Jacobi and John Georgiadis and find some of my goals coinciding with theirs. I hope to become a dynamic member of student organizations like the Student Sustainability Committee, which takes an active interest in improving the sustainability of processes within the campus and sponsors projects in this field. I also see an opportunity to interact with the staff at research institutes like the Illinois Sustainable Technology Center and hope to do a project with them. The solutions to some conundrums lie within the problems themselves. Most renewable energy processes leave plenty of scope for improving their working efficiency. I believe that the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign will equip me with the tools to chip away at redundant details and reveal the inner solution intact. I look forward to being a part of the UIUC Community in the near future.
Throughout high school I have dreamed of having the opportunity to attend Indiana University. I have a true passion for babies. I love to learn how babies are developed and how they become such an amazing part of the world. Therefore, I would like to apply to Indiana University and pursue a degree in Pediatric Nursing. I would love to be able to deliver babies and deliver new life into this earth. There are several opportunities available for me to get involved with new leadership opportunities. I want to be able to be a leader for all age groups.
Art is intended for all to enjoy and learn from. Through an art curriculum; phonics, mathematics, and readiness skills to name a few can be learned through an art curriculum. With this curriculum a teacher can adapt that centers to teach those with diverse abilities such as emotional and intellectual challenges, visual impairments, hearing impairments, and orthopedic impairments.
Art increase human creative skill and imagination. It also devolope human beauty or emotional power. Art gives us a way to be creative and express ourselves. it is a large part of building people lives infinitely copious. There are many kind of arts, such as painting, sculpture,..
I have grown to love dance even more than I did in my first class, and in my opinion I have gotten quite a bit better. I’m afraid that in other areas of art I can’t speak as highly of myself. My drawings have always been lackluster, my acting subpar, and my musical ability has
Proposal Amy Fletcher Sustainable Wind Co. 1234 South Wind Ave, Yakima, WA, 98903 October 3, 2017 Ms. Abigale Rogers Chairwoman of University Sustainability Practices Committee Arizona State University Introduction: Arizona State University has been trying for many years to shine a light on alternative energy sources. My company’s proposal is that ASU should expand its small wind farm with more modern wind turbines as well as replace their current turbines with the more modern modal. With more wind turbines there will be a better change to not only create more power that the school can run off, but it will also have a better change of sparking more questions from students, faculty members but the community. Possessing the basic knowledge in the field of physical sciences and the intuition in them made me to pick up Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as my majors for the Higher Secondary Education. After the completion of my secondary education, I felt that engineering was the only field which can transform and transfer my dreams in the field of sciences into a real one and also it would give me an opportunity to learn and explore how the fundamentals of science are appl...
I loved Art. I obsessed over art. You would assume, that the years that I spent Art-ing would by now have made me one of the greatest artists at school. Sadly, you would be wrong. At seventeen years of age, I still wasn't very good at art.
Since Computer Science is a dynamic and developing field that is increasingly pervading every aspect of society, I have decided to apply for an Australian Study Visa to pursue Bachelor of Computer Science - at the Griffith University, offered by Griffith University, a public research university in South East Queensland on the east coast of Australia. I am of firm conviction that suitable opportunity to pursue further studies will help in my endeavor towards realizing my goal. Recently, I appeared for my Grade 12th examinations from C.B.S.E and cleared it with 74% aggregate in June 2017. Throughout my studies, I maintained good academic record; and subjects like Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics further enhanced my curiosity to pursue higher
I have spent so much time learning about design through the paradigm of materials but now I want to connect mechanical aspects to the knowledge I have already gained. I am particularly interested in the research done by Dr. Drew Nelson, Dr. Sheri Sheppard and Dr. Friedrich Prinz whose work most closely fits my interests. I am interested in doing research in mechanical design as influenced by material usage. I am also looking forward to taking courses such as Imperfections in Crystalline Solids, The Magic of Materials and Manufacturing, and Nanomaterials Synthesis and Applications for Mechanical Engineers to explore topics I have already studied, but from a mechanical engineering perspective. Stanford’s combination of rigor and creativity appeal to me. I have always enjoyed a challenge and get great satisfaction from expanding my knowledge. Coming from a Materials Science and Engineering background where I have performed well, both in academics and leadership, I know I can be an asset to and learn from the world-class Mechanical Engineering program at
Art Education is not always valued in school settings. Although some may see it as an unnecessary use of school funding, there are many who believe it is beneficial to students in more ways than one. There are many different studies that have been conducted to test the effects that art education has on school-aged children. Some studies have proven that art education can help students to improve in other academic areas. In a journal article from Ohio State University’s “Theory in Practice,” Karen A Hamblen states, “There are linkages between art learning and learning in other subjects areas and that art study can promote creative behaviors, critical thinking skills, and academic achievement.” It has also been found that the arts can teach children better self-regulatory strategies, and even foster more confidence and self-efficacy in school which relates to confidence in academics. Overall, art education in schools has been very beneficial and has proven to ignite creativity, confidence, critical thinking skills, and academic achievement in students.
People travel miles in search of their true passion; some find them early in their life and I consider myself lucky enough to be one among them. I found my true calling at the age of 12 on a field trip to a milk factory. It seemed like the Disneyland of science with huge machineries, conveyer belts running all around, and instruments working about in their own rhythm with sheer intricacies and perfection. As a kid, I was eager to understand the mechanics behind this magical rhythm. The desire of gaining in-depth knowledge about Control System and Automation eventually led me to choose Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering as my undergraduate study.
My passion motivated to play drums and even create my own band during high school. When I moved to Canada, the burden of studies and career became my priority and I did not have the time to pursue my passion towards arts. Through this course, I was introduced to my passion by engaging in readings of Eisner “ What art taught me”, the author describes that arts itself involves development of skills and accumulation of knowledge if an individual is able to understand art from an intellectual point of view. The author further mentions that, “cognition referred not only to skills, but also to knowledge.
Art has always been a part of my life. There is not a book, or notepad, in my home that does not have a plethora of drawings scattered throughout it. However, it was not until ninth grade that I enrolled in any formal art classes and experienced just how truly taken with art I was. My teacher was quick to push me to discover and sharpen my skills, allowing my love and dedication towards art to blossom even further. What draws you to art?
An ambition to learn and grow and having passion for engineering have prompted me to go in for graduate studies. Chasing my Dreams! While growing up at a young age I was always intrigued by objects that produced mechanical work and energy be it prime movers such as automobiles, construction and mining equipment, turbo machinery such as jet engines, space shuttles or complex mechanisms of mechanical watches, I used to spend a lot of time trying to learn and figure out their basis and propositions, it was necessary for me to explore my inner conscience to understand my fascination towards machines and their ingenuity, Mechanical engineering seemed a direct consequence of my convictions. I have always admired my father as a civil engineer and his hard work and struggles throughout his life; He has always been a role model for me. He motivated me to pursue my dreams so I decided to pursue my undergraduate study in Mechanical Engineering
The arts have influenced my life in amazing ways. Throughout my life, art has been the place I run to and my escape from the world. As I’ve grown older, art has become so much more than that. Every piece of art I create is a journey into my soul. It’s a priceless way to deal with my emotions and my struggles. I create art not only because I enjoy it and because I want to, but because I have to. Somewhere deep inside there is a driving force, urging me to put my heart down on paper. I become emotionally attached to each of my pieces because they are like dashes on the wall marking my growth. Each one is the solution to a problem I have dealt with and overcome.
