Admittance into the University of Georgia’s Honors Program would push me to continually test my potential in the pursuit of my Pre-Medical studies. I take pride in challenging myself to completely master a field of study that enhance my capabilities, and therefore, prepare myself to strive for my next goal in life. In order to grow into a better and improved self, one would need to test unfamiliar waters and reach new heights. The Honors Program ensures this growth by bringing in unaccustomed, rigorous, and beneficial material one cannot simply find in a traditional setting with their head in a textbook. Students are more able to grasp information through exploration and peer discussion which the Honors Program would provide. I believe that
As a student at Northvale Public School, I have grown up with my older siblings being inducted into an organization called the National Junior Honor Society. I had seen all the hard work and dedication they put into their school work and activities just to get into this society, making me want to be just like them. Then a few weeks ago, I found a note on my desk in homeroom telling me that I had been nominated to be apart of this society. Through citizenship and character, leadership, and service, I intend on being inducted into the society I have heard so much about. Though it will take a lot of effort this school year, being a part of this society is a dream of mine that I will make sure to come true.
The National Honor Society is a very prestigious organization that I would love to be a part of. It was an honor to be nominated as a candidate. I am currently a sophomore in high school, and I have always wanted to be a member of the National Honor Society. As I look back over the years and think of the times I have attended the ceremonies and saw all the awards the members received, I recall saying to myself “That’s going to be me one day.”. I asked my teachers about all the requirements that had to be met to be a National Honor Society member and I made it my main goal to meet each and every one.
For me to describe my ideal honors course is imperative in the process of taking these courses and succeeding. It is the responsibility of every student to do so in order to bring about the greatest outcome one may achieve. I believe that for this to happen, one has to identify a few things; one's own definition of an Honors Course, what objectives do these honor courses hold , how does the course subject interactions between the student and the teaching institute, and what outcome are you looking to achieve. By recognizing these few things, one may come to the conclusion of what an Honors Course.
By being accepted into the Liberty Honors Program, I could better prepare myself for what my future holds. Choosing the right school is imperative today, especially because of our volatile economy which has limited the amount of jobs available to college graduates. By being accepted, I trust that I will be more than ready for the real world after I graduate. Currently, I am planning on majoring in English and minoring in Government with the goal of pursuing a career in law. I want to be a lawyer so that I may stand up for others in the daily battles of life. I am confident that my conscientious and compassionate personality will help me thrive as an attorney. I also believe that I have many skills required to be a successful lawyer, such as memorizing things quickly and commun...
The Honors Program is less about reward and more about the push for personal growth for myself. The last four years have shown to be a challenge, from being the first year student in Pre-calculus to being the junior who is aiming for a five on the AP test. I came from having mostly A’s, with few B’s, to being the student who earned A’s in every class. Personal motivation led me to this achievement. The Honors Program at CSU looks like a program to help me continue my journey of gaining knowledge. Being a member of this program would give my motivation to continue to strive for those higher grades. It is in my interest to be in this program to keep my performance in classes at the upper level. This program would allow me to focus on academics and strive for the best grades personally possible.
I am excited to join the Honors College for a number of reasons. One of the most significant reasons is that I am dedicated to bettering myself and my education over these next few years. Joining the The Honors College at ASU is amazing opportunity that I would like to experience. The Honors College will provides a chance for me to interact with likeminded individuals who want to succeed in their academic studies. There is a saying that goes, “that it is not always what you know, but who you know.” I was always told from a young age that if you surround yourself with goal-oriented people, they will motivate you to work harder for your goals. Taking part of a high-ranking program will increase opportunities to improve my studying abilities and academic status. The Honors College is an important credentials needed for my college resume when I apply to dental school. Since I was younger, I dreamed of becoming a dentist and getting
I believe I'd be a good fit for Honors College because I value academic involvement, and with the college, I'm provided with many involvement opportunities. For example, I'd like to involve myself in The Red Shoes Review because of my background in both photography and journalism. Not only would I love to submit my photography, but I also believe I would be a great editor, as I edit for my high school's quarterly magazine. I believe that honors-specific arts publications allow for an artistic community that also values academics, which is an overlap not often found. From my experience as the president of my school's art club, I've seen the value of creative-minded students working collaboratively, and wish to continue that experience through college by involving myself in honors-specific artistic organizations.
All of my life I have lived in a very small town of under 700 people. My school holds students from pre-school to twelfth grade all in the same building. My graduating class is thirty- eight students with most of us being in the same classes since pre-school. I love my small hometown, but I’m ready for some place bigger than 700 people. The University of Wisconsin La Crosse gives me this opportunity by getting to meet new people around campus. It’s also exciting to me that in every class there are new people, and I’m ready for a challenge of going to a larger school with thousands of students not just hundreds.
The most fulfilling or rewarding experience I have had as a college student here at USC has simply been having the opportunity to be surrounded by motivated students, professors, and advisors that have encouraged me to expand my horizons and better myself. Without the Honors College, I would have never met and bonded with my current roommates or any of my other college friends, who push me to try new things and work harder every day. The Honors classes I have been enrolled in have provided me with the opportunity to interact with students who are passionate about what they are studying. The professors I have taken are experts in their fields and have interesting stories and histories, such as one
