While the experiences were particularly fascinating and rewarding, I want to explore working with human participants, which is aligned with my interest in cognitive neuroscience research in language. I looked for summer research opportunities, and was admitted to the National Science Foundation Summer Research Program taking place in University of Miami. I worked for the Social Cognitive Laboratory with Dr. Elizabeth Simpson, seeking whether neonatal imitation can predict children’s later social behaviors. The research enabled me to learn about eye-tracking, one of the regularly employed methods in behavioral studies, as well as the analysis of the neuroendocrine system through oxytocin. With my tendency to seek out opportunities, I soon learned about the psychology department’s chapter of the Psi Chi Honor Society and its psychology club – Club Psych. Now, not only I am a member of both the club and the honor society, but I am also the president of both. It has been delightful for me to serve within both organizations, where I took part in planning multiple events throughout the years, and I have learned much about psychology through both speakers and professors, as well as fellow psychology students. Each project has been unique and valuable, and it has enabled be to interact with a variety of fields within Psychology. As a child, I have always sought to help others either by helping the elderly, listening to a friend in need or simple giving advice based on my own experiences. But, although this is a passion of mine, I do not currently possess the educational experience nor the tools necessary to be an effective counselor. During my high school years, I lived in a predominantly white neighborhood in Belleville, Illinois and with that came many challenges as well as stereotypes that affected not only myself but other students. Many of the people as well as the police were very prejudice toward minorities within the community. I witnessed burning crosses, often stopped by police or other authorities for simply

It is a rewarding career path that one may enjoy which requires excellent communication skills and a commit between each other.
My interest in Psychology began in 2012, when I had the opportunity to research on my own about the subject. After I embarked on an introductory course in Psychology to relieve the boredom of working in a call centre, I then was motivated to continue with my studies. After securing my Higher and HNC in Social Science – I continued with the HND.

He continued his education under the supervision of James McKeen Catell at Columbia University and in 1898 completed his Ph.D..
