What were some of Apple’s biggest successes and failures? Describe why.
Apple Successes
The three biggest successes of Apple would be the introduction of Iphone, Itunes and Ipod.
The Itunes whuch was introduced in 2001 gave consumers the chance to have acess to over 1000 songs and more . Consumers could actually pay only for the song they like rather than buying the whole album just to listen to a few songs in it. This changed the music delivery market. In 2002, the windows version was introduced, till date, Apple holds the record of the highest number of MP3 sales. Following this, the Iphone and the Ipod where the new innovations with Apple carrying the Apple operating system and camera. This gave the chance for consumers to have entertainment in their palm.
Apple Failures
Three of Apple’s biggest failures are the Power Mac G4 Cube, Motorola Rokr, and PodNano 3rd Generation. The PowerMac G4 Cube is still known as being a revolutionary product to the industry. Third, the Apple business model dominates others in the market. The aggressiveness towards new innovation does not give competitors a chance to gain grown. Finally, consumers of Apple products are drawn to the uniqueness and the experience of Apple products. Apple sticks to a few quality products offering little confusion for the customer for selecting the product that fits their needs.

Apple is a king in the technology world; poisoning every area of the industry that they have introduced a product too. They are slowly weeding their competition out. The only a company thrives in the thorn bush market is if they are in cahoots with apple. Apples co-founder Steve Jobs, started the company with all intention of dominating the market. The only obstacle for them is the Anti-trust law created ages ago. Apple, in their attempt to take the market over, has been racking up evidence against themselves. There reach has leaped boarders and even caught the attention of the European Union. Apple is pushing their boundaries and in the future will eventually cross the line in to monopolistic actions.
Within the last decade Apple has become one of the largest growing companies in the world and the largest valued company in the United States. According to a recent article in The Guardian, a global financial news website, “Apple set a record by becoming the first company to be valued at over $700bn (£446bn).” (Fletcher, N. 2014) This comes as no surprise to the average computer aficionado and shareholder as Apple has been making a name for itself since its inception. However, the company shifted its focus from only personal computer to include other consumer electronics such as portable media player and mobile phone in 2007.
