Have you ever seen a horror movie where the characters don’t know where they are? Most of the time they find themselves on a forest. The events that led me to the mudhole are as fresh in my mind as an apple pie that came straight out of the oven. I have never went the wrong way until ONE day something bad happened. I will not tell you all the details yet but I should give you some ideas. I was walking home from school and i was 5-6 years old and then poof I didn’t know where I was. It all started when school l was out. I hopped on my bike and rode it two feet and the chain snapped in half and then I got distracted and went the wrong way and thought I seen my grandma's house but it
When I was eighteen I had an encounter that involved barriers to my communication with a stranger. I was in Havana; Cuba I had just turned 18 three days earlier and I was out with family exploring the city of Havana. I went to explore one of the 16th century houses alone and ran into a young native man. This guy seemed to be Cuban, his nonverbal communication was that of sexual interest as he looked me up and down several times. He started talking to me but I couldn’t understand most of what he was saying due to his accent, the only thing I did understand was when he called me a Mango. I was very confused when he called me a Mango. I then stereotyped him, in my mind he became just some uneducated native. I experienced some ethnocentrism, I

RaStereotyping is a way of thinking about groups of people. It ignores the differences of the group, while emphasizing its similarity. One belief, that is a stereotype, is that red-haired people are hot tempered. Another belief is that Scottish people are stingy. Such thinking ignores many even-tempered redheads and generous Scottish people. Stereotyping emphasizes many differences between groups while ignoring their similarities to other people. It ignores that many blond and brown-haired people also lose their tempers. Stereotyping overlooks the fact that many American, Brazilians and French people are stingy.
Everyone knows Android and Apple have been rivals for years now. Each company has been developing new software and technology each year to prove who’s worthy of the #1 title. They have been competing with each other messenger, price difference, app store, product line, restrictions, and even marketing strategies. In 2012, Samsung, an Android represent, was forced to pay Apple $548.2 million for copyright infringement. This gives society a general idea of the rivalry between the two companies. I personally, along with many other consumers prefer Apple products due to its reliance and simplicity in design of software, iOS.
Apple has been questioned by the United States Congress and the court of public opinion in regards to its growing horde of cash it keeps outside the United States. Apple insists that it has done nothing wrong and has not broken any laws, foreign or domestic. The cash in question comes from profits of operations outside the United States. Apple has pursued a plan to keep the offshore profits outside of the country in order to avoid the United States 39% corporate tax. The structure of companies Apple has created in Ireland have enabled the company to stockpile profits and pay little to no tax.
It’s interesting reading about large consumer brands and their various methodologies for consumer research as it relates to new product development. In the consumables business, P&G is the heavyweight and is the pinnacle of research with their expertise in identifying the products that resonate with consumers. They also have manufacturing and distribution dialed in which makes them the “ideal” that many manufacturing-driven organizations aspire to be like.

Society and the mass media are heavily influenced by popular culture, and vice versa. People see and use popular culture as a way of distracting themselves from reality. Many of us place all our importance and focus on material items; people often times worry about the face of their image in the digital world, which incidentally impacts them in the actual world. Living in the current age of technology shows the significance of how much people rely on technology to get distracted from reality. iPhones, iPads, and other smart technology devices are seen everywhere you go. How does a company such as Apple spread and grow into popular culture? Steve Jobs, cofounder of Apple, exclaimed early in his career, in 1993, that, “Being the richest man in the cemetery doesn’t matter to me…Going to bed at night saying we’ve done something wonderful…That’s what matters to me” (Isaacson). Because of that mentality, he was able to fill today’s society with iDevices and “Apple culture.” Apple culture is essentially ones world controlled by Apple. It roots back to how Apple does business, which impacts us, the consumers; this is why you see many people walking around with iPhones, iPods, iPads, etc. Apple is able to control the society’s “wants” of technology (Jobs). Their technology has specific features that take communication, sharing, and business to another level. Apple, without a doubt, has a strong influence on popular culture.
The history of apples stretches back to the days of Adam and Eve, when it is believed to have been the “forbidden fruit” described in the Bible. Despite this long standing history, apples did not always grow naturally in New England. While the first apples are thought to have grown on the lower slopes of Tian Shan, a mountain range separating Kazakhstan and Krygystan, they also grew wild in Central and Southwest Asia, China, Italy, Switzerland, Spain and Greece.

After three hours we arrived at our first break stop. We stopped at a section that was on top of the waterfall. The view was amazing and spectacular because we had never seen anything like this. As we continued our hike after several more break stops, and nine more hours of hiking, we finally arrived at the top of El Capitan. Once we got to the top the view was amazing. We could not imagine how beautiful it was up there on top of the world. After about half an hour we started heading back down, when all of a sudden out of no where I felt someone push me out of the way. A man that was in a hurry to get back down pushed me so hard, that I lost my balance and fell of a twenty foot cliff. At that moment in time I could see flashbacks of my life. After a couple seconds of falling I somehow landed between two rocks which shattered my right foot. After that happen every one that was there tried to get help but unfortunately cell phones do not work in Yosemite, but the man that pushed me over the cliff had a walky-talky and he called for help.
