I am writing this letter of apology on behalf of my wife, Shani Lynn Fajutrao and myself. Trully, we understand the inconvenience and troubles you have faced and for that we owe you our deepest apology. I reason to believe that the situation may have resulted from tension and pressure or resulting out of financial stress, still for any injuries that may have been done in the course of events that have led to this unlawful acts and shameful behavior, we accept full responsibility, I regret deeply my unthoughtful lack of attention to my wifes cognitive issues,as to her state of depression which affected her mental health contributing to this poor decision-making ordeal. i have to say that this was an out-of-character incident for my wife.
As the EAI team was discussing Molly’s case, one of the ED Residents made a few telephone calls. Molly’s PCP reported that during her last visit about 2 weeks ago, Mollie was alert and able to respond to questions appropriately. He confirmed that Mollie’s daughter and son in law have experienced psychiatric problems, adding that the son in law has expressed anger regarding Mollie’s living arrangements. The home health care agency was contacted. The RN and aide both report they have never met the son in law and have had very limited contact with Mollie’s daughter. When contacted by telephone, the daughter provided no explanation for Mollie’s extensive bruises noted on admission to the hospital. The daughter stated that Mollie did not fall, but in fact lowered herself to the floor in an effort to draw
First, I apologize for putting you in this position. I'm hopeful that this email may give some peace to you. I've realized that so very little of my behaviour in my life has been for others. As an addict, I was self-centred to the extreme. Realizing this, I am trying to take any opportunity I can to live in truth and to think of other's first.
In the book of Apology, Socrates was mistakenly accused, and the accusation went as follows: "Socrates is an evil-doer who corrupts the youth, and who does not believe in the gods whom the city believes in, but in other new divinities"(Plato 9). During the trial, he denied all the accusations. He denied the would-be corruption of the youth and disclaimed his alleged disbelief in the gods of the Athenian state. However, he was still put in prison unjustly because the elaw had been incorrectly applied. Crito was a book after Apology. It was a dialogue from the main characters Socrates and his friend Crito. The main theme of the book of Crito is about whether Socrates should break the law and escape from execution, or stay and accept his death
When one kid pushes another kid, the immediate response is to tell the kid to apologize. Although the child may apologize, he is not actually sorry for his actions. This may seem childish, but there may be some legitimacy behind the fake apology. Too often, when people err, they do not understand what they did, why their action was wrong, or why it is okay for others to repeat a similar action. In the same way, in Truman Capote’s nonfiction novel, In Cold Blood, when Perry Smith murders four members of the Clutter family, he has little to no remorse. It becomes evident to the reader that Perry Smith is truly a “cold-blooded killer”.
The main argument in The Apology by famous ancient Greek philosopher Plato is whether, notorious speaker and philosopher Socrates is corrupting the youth by preaching ungodly theories and teaching them unlawful ideas that do harm to individuals and society. In his words Socrates quoted the prosecution’s accusation against him: “Socrates is guilty of corrupting the minds of the young, and of believing in supernatural things of his own invention instead of the gods recognized by the state.” 1 Further Socrates consistently introduces tediously compiled number of examples to provide valid and sound arguments to prove that he is innocent of the charges brought up against him to the court.
When the Hawaiian islands was overthrown, the united states made an Apology Resolution that states that the Hawaiian islands were its own independent territory owned by nobody except King Kamehameha the Great. Who had reunited the island chain. Also this resolution states that Queen Liliuokalani” issued statements yielding her authority to the united states government rather than the provisional government”.
As our first year of apologetic class, we started out with the basic idea of apologetics. The root word of apologetic, apologia, means “ To speak in defense “ and it is often used in religious matters. The purpose of apologetic is to give a solid and valid defense against the questions that are thrown against the christian society. We give such defense by stating the facts that provide support to the christian statements and views. As a christian, we are supposed to be able to explain our faith as it is said in 1 Peter 3:15 “ But in your heart set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give answer to everyone who asks you to give reasons for the hope that you have. But do it with gentleness and respect.”. We defend our faith not only to have a solid base, but also in order to help those who are in search for truth.
Please accept this letter as an update on the Division’s involvement with respect to the above captioned case.
When reading the dialogs of Socrates, it is easy to ready each as an individual story. It is more difficult to take into consideration every word that Socrates has said up to that point and allow that to influence the validity of Socrates current position or argument. Though this may be more difficult we must take everything that Socrates has claimed to hold in every dialog. While doing this brings up a potential contradiction between Socrates Apology and in his dialog with Crito. Though this contradiction is clearly visible when focusing on just the idea of these claims, there is background beliefs of the Gods that allows both Socrates claim in his apology and his argument in the Crito dialogs.
In Plato 's “The Apology of Socrates”, Socrates is charged with not accepting the gods recognized by the state, devising new gods, and corrupting the youth of Athens. However, the word "apology" in the title is not our modern understanding of the word. The name of the speech stems from the Greek word "apologia," which translates as a speech made in defense. Thus, “The Apology of Socrates” is an account of the speech Socrates makes at the trial in which he defends himself, not apologizes. (The Apology) (SparkNotes Editors)
While on the surface “Eve’s Apology in Defense of Women” seems to be pro-Eve and pro-feminism, but looking deeper it is evident that Lanyer is not necessarily feminist at all. In “Eve’s Apology in Defense of Women,” Lanyer disguises her anti-feminist views by hiding her views in seemingly feminist statements, when in reality, she subtly uses Eve’s weakness as a woman as defense for her “mistake” of eating from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. While Lanyer portrays Eve in an anti-feminist way, she also paints a picture of how Eve could, in some ways, be considered the first feminist. The first defense, “Our mother Eve, who tasted the tree,/Giving to Adam what she held most dear,/Was simply good, and had no power to see,” (Lanyer, 19-21)
Is this an apology or blame? In the beginning, God tells Adam not to eat the forbidden fruit. Adam disobeys God by doing so, but most people put the blame on Eve. In the poem, “Eve’s Apology,” Eve expresses her feelings toward the entire situation and shows how she is not to blame. She blames Adam for the pain we endure today. Eve eats from the forbidden tree out of curiosity. She wants to share it with Adam, so he can feel like she feels. Eve gives the fruit to Adam out of love, but she does not force him to eat it. Adam has control of his mind, so he disobeys God on his own. “Do not the thing that goes against thy heart” (Lanyer 424). Aemilia Lanyer, the author of the poem, “Eve’s Apology,” lived in the mid 1500’s and 1600’s. Living in this time period, had much influence on her writing. She published her landmark book, Salve Deus Rex Judaeorum, the same year that the King James Bible and three of Shakespeare’s plays were published (Wilhelm 424). Lanyer brings out the life of this poem with the poetic devices, irony, and unusual language.
Nobody is perfect and as we move forward in this era of self-knowledge and self-discovery, it is vital to acquire the ability to recognize our own mistakes. We all do some mistakes at some point of our lives which hurt another person. The difference lies acknowledging that we have done something wrong, some acknowledge immediately and some take time.
I don't know how to apologize to her, but I wish her good
Trust me, this brings me only shame, which is why I am moving out for a while. I just can’t face you for a while until this has sunken in for us both: me, for knowing that you know, and you, for merely knowing. I know I am a coward, but you must believe me in that in writing this letter, I have placed all I hold dear at stake. If you can live with me and be my husband after knowing what you have just read, then I will see you in a week. If you want to leave me- divorce me- I understand completely. But please give it some time.
