The University of Oregon architecture program, founded in 1914, was the first in the United States. The Bauhaus, formed in 1919, moved to its famous Dessau, Germany, location in 1925. In 1936, Walter Gropius came to the United States and from 1938 to 1952 was head of the architecture department at Harvard University (Lackney, J., 1999) . THE EXPERIMENT This experiment was applied on the students enrolled in architectural design studio III, in order to inspect the learning styles of the students and to appraise the impact on the students. The previous was conducted through a questionnaire to determine the appropriate learning styles for themselves. The paper used a questionnaire of one of the most popular websites that determine the learning preferences for students (http://vark-learn.com/the-vark-questionnaire/ 8/3/2017), in this questionnaire the student can choose multiple responses in the same question when they see it suitable for them. Moreover, they can leave the answer blank if none fit them. Based in the city of Weimar, the Bauhaus was one of the most influential schools of design in the 20th century . Its main aim was to reconsider and redefine the fundamentals of architecture, urban planning, design, and other aspects in order to highlight the unity of all kinds of arts (Gesamtkunstwerk) . Due to art and architectures’ cultural significance, every person involved in design-based movements have had their own theories as to how artists and architects should create and present their various masterpieces. In 1914, a German association of designers, artists, and architects, called the Deutscher Werkbund, opened their first exhibition in Cologne. The diversity of the buildings present at this exhibit were as varied as the ideology within the Werkbund. This difference in opinion was publicly displayed during the Werkbund’s July conference when two men, Hermann Muthesius and Henry Van de Velde, both tenaciously debated their thoughts on design, style, and the purpose of the Deutscher Werkbund.
W.A.R.P. initially focused on the ideas of the Bauhaus curriculum by using the concept of drawing and organizational design skills with a basic of art history and performance, digital media, and installation. In most institutions of learning today, the classes are made up of students from different ethnic backgrounds. These have different traditions and also speak different languages. In a typical classroom, the majority of the students will speak the same language. The teacher must then employ strategies which will accommodate all the students in the class. This will ensure that every learner gets the best quality of education. This will enable them to be better prepared for career and expressing themselves. In this paper, strategies to assist learners of the English language in their literal development for third grade learners. In the paper, three strategies that can be used by the teacher will be discussed. New strategies and research that will help the English language learners to gain in depth mastery of the language will also be discussed. Due to the widespread learning of the English language in most schools, addressing issues of the language learners is of vital importance. Teachers should have the understanding that cultures are what give someone identity and therefore no student should leave their culture for another. Instead, there should be the blending of different cultures so that students can appreciate and learn from each other.
