When love is fair and unfair
Love is when another person’s happiness is more important than your own, when you are willing to risk your safety and life for that person even though they may not give you their love. The Great Gatsby shows how love can be unfair and dishonest. Anyone Lived in a Pretty How Town” shows how love can be honest and fair. Both selections show how love can either be honest or not taken seriously. F.Scott Fitzgerald, author of The Great Gatsby and E.e. Cummings, author of Anyone Lived in a Pretty How Town” convey a similar theme of love through the use of tone, imagery, and symbolism.

He was the opposite to everything else around her and wanted him to know that.
