As a biomedical major I have learned about the many intricacies of various medical procedures and I understand the highly debated topics that come along with them. For this research paper I intended to find a way to solve the politics when it comes to the practice of abortion. In my research paper I argued that abortion should remain legal and anti-abortion laws should be regulated. I made my point by appealing to the logical and emotional side of the readers First, I open with the basic knowledge of abortion and some brief background information to make sure the reader is up to date with all of the information surrounding abortion. Hopefully seeing the large amount of deaths that unsafe abortion has cause will change the readers view about the strict-abortion laws. I also gave many instances in which abortion would be helpful and aid women. In the case of rape where many women are faced with carrying the child of the person who wrong them. Some states even countries have strict-anti abortion laws in which a woman cannot terminate the pregnancy even though she has been raped. I point this out so the reader can see the over restrictiveness of these anti-abortion laws and understand that all women should have control over their own body. Moreover, I tackle the very heart of the debate which involves whether the fetus can be considered a human being or not. Since I am a biomedical engineer, I am understand the importance of this. However, through extensive research and common sense I have determined that a fetus cannot be considered a human being.
