Project Life
I chose to be an anesthesiologist as my future career because I find it fascinating and I believe it would be a profession that suits me. Anesthesiologists perform duties such as administering and managing anesthesia during surgery and managing and treating changes in critical life functions, such as breathing, during surgery.
An anesthesiologist’s work does not have to be limited to the usual hospital or medical center. Anesthesiologists can work in a number of different places, such as dental offices, administering epidural in labor and delivery units, and stabilizing a patient’s condition in critical and intensive care units. When I get older, I plan on doing regular work in a hospital/medical center. As an anesthesiologist, my average yearly salary (after taxes) would be around $186,570 a year, or around $15,550 a month. With the way I plan on living, monthly expenses would be about $3,000, which would total to about $34,100 a year. I would be left with a surplus of around $12,550, …show more content…

Many more scholarships are available, but to receive them I would have to keep my grades very high throughout high school. In Tennessee, availability of jobs for anesthesiologists is pretty high compared to other states, in a range of 520-930. Since I plan on staying in Tennessee for a while, this high demand for anesthesiologists is very beneficial in finding myself a job.
