Dr. Dre aka Andre Romelle Young. The personality that describes my friend Dr. Dre is a hip hop gangster artist. He is a hard worker who comes from the project, which is also known as Compton Los Angeles. Dr. Dre mannerisms behavior of people is when people get him mad for not doing what they are not supposed to do. He has an attitude of a thug, which he is not afraid of no one. The most ironic thing that happens to Dre was when his brother died in a fight. Dre cried day and night when his brother died. It was a sad moment for Dre when that happen. When Dre was a little kid he had to move to many schools because of the violence in those schools he went to. Andre had many good other friends when he was growing up, but he's really good friends are Eazy e, Nate Dogg, Dj Yella,Snoop Dogg and MC ren. We would …show more content…

Dre other friends are important to him because we all grew up together, and made a rap group together. We were really famous back then for a song called F The Police. We made a ton of money when we were on tour. We went to many places like las Vegas, Denver, New York, California,Inglewood and our hometown Compton. Couple of years later we broke up because of our manager not giving us our pay check. Dr. Dre signed with a studio called death row records. He became more popular when he signed with them for a couple of months. Dr. Dre was working really hard when he signed with them. Dre friend Suge Knight explained to Dre about how the business is going to roll and who are they going to sign. Dre was sad when he left us a couple of months later when he signed a contract with Death Row and left Ruthless records because our boss Jerry
wasn't paying us. When he left he got paid tons of money and got a lot of fame because of his hard work. He had a big party when one of his album “The Chronic” came out. We all went and had a great time. Then later that day in the party I told Dre that we should bring back NWA. He told me that he was going to think about it and I said ok but told him to put a lot of thought into it. Then a couple of months he called me saying that he thinks it's a good idea about make the group again but we just got to get rid of the manager Jerry and find a new one or we will have problems again because of him not giving us our paycheck and I said ok. I told Dre to call everybody to let's meet up and bring back the group and to fire jerry. He called the group and we all meet up at Eazy e house. We were having fun until making beats until Eazy collapsed. We all got worried and took him the hospital. When we got there he was in a coma. Then later that day the doctor told us that Eazy haded aids. We all started crying when that moment happen. Couple years later when Eazy e died we never thought of making the group back together and kept following are dreams as being as a solo artist. Then one day I would imagine us bring back the group, but it wouldn't be the same without Eazy E. Rip Eric Lynn Wright aka Eazy E(1964-1995).
In the Lilies of the Field by William E. Barrett, Homer and Mother Maria both display straightforward, hardworking, and stubborn character traits. Firstly, Homer and Mother Maria both display a straightforward personality by being brutally honest about their opinions. For example, when Mother Maria asks Homer to build a chapel, Homer speaks his mind by telling her he does not want to build it. Mother Maria shows her straightforward behavior during Homer’s stay at the convent. One morning, when Homer sleeps in late, Mother to becomes extremely upset and is not afraid to show how she feels about him. Secondly, both Homer and Mother Maria display a hardworking spirit. Homer is a hardworking man because after finally agreeing to build the chapel,
Literary villains are all around us. For instance, Voldemort from Harry Potter and Darth Vader from Star Wars. What makes a villain? They will go through anyone or damage anything to reach their goal. No matter how small or how tall they are, anyone can be a villain. One of the worst literary villains is Erik Fisher from Tangerine, written by Edward Bloor. He is a liar and a thief. Those traits are what makes the best villains. Throughout the book, Erik shows that he is a villain through his vile and offensive behavior, his need for power, and his insanity.
While Eminem portrays himself as being from Detroit, he is actually from Missouri. He moved back and forth between Detroit, Michigan and Kansas City, Missouri for most of his childhood. At the age of seventeen, Eminem started getting serious about wanting to be a rapper, giving himself the nickname M&M (meaning Marshal Mathers) and later decided to change the spelling to Eminem with the second E backwards as part of his trademark. He failed 9th grade 3 times, then dropped out, “School wasn’t for me” (Eminem). An education was the last thing on his mind. After throwing himself into the rap world on many levels, usually being shut down, he kept trying.
Unlike Dr. Martin King who made few white friends while attending Atlanta’s Black grade schools and Morehouse College . Malcolm X faced his early situation of racial segregation during his education at school. In his autobiography, Malcolm X narrates his experience with his teachers and how he felt towards the history class where he was told of how uncivilized his race was. These scenes of racial discrimination deeply affected his childhood during his early years of education. In the following example, Malcolm X explains the acts of segregation of blacks in schools and how it affected young African American
Raised as an only child, Dwayne Micheal Carter Jr or more commonly referred to as Lil Wayne, was born September 27th, 1982, in New Orleans, Louisiana. Carter’s mother was only 19 years old when he was first born. He was being raised by both his mother and father until his father abandoned them while Dwayne Jr. was only two years old. After being abandoned by his biological father, his mother was forced to take care of him on her own and survive in the crime infested community of Holly grove, New Orleans. Even though he divorced his mother and remarried, his father forced the two live with his own mother and came by to abuse Lil Wayne’s mother on a consistent basis. This situation went on for three years until Lil Wayne’s mother eventually remarried and relocated to a different part of town. Growing up he did very well in school. He was actually enrolled in his school’s gifted program at a point and received top grades. He got into music at a very young age and wrote his first rap song at the age of eight. Lil Wayne had the drive to be the best and successful at his craft since he first began. At the age of nine he was challenging others twice his age and older at rapping. He would consistently go to neighborhood parties or events to rap and most of the time he was better then whatever adult he was going against. As a testament to this, at the age of nine he start receiving attention from one of the two co-founders of his future label, Slim Williams. From Slim, he then received other co-founder, Bryan Williams, phone number and what he did with it after that was truly caught the Bryan’s attention. He continuously called the number over and over leaving rap songs on the voicemail of Williams until he agreed to meet him in person...
Rapping was a key component as Pitbull grew up and he drew his creativity from popular rappers like Nas and Big Pun. His first big musical break was with the popular movie series “2 Fast 2 Furious” where his song “Oye” was the theme song of the entire movie. This achievement was extremely important to Pitbull’s future rapping career because many people watched this movie series and by having this song be the theme it instantly gained him fame. From this movie he signed on with TVT records and made his first album called M.I.A.M.I. In the years following this album release, Pitbull made three more albums all of which were very successful. Pitbull became a prominent rapper and this career lead to many other accomplishments that were to come.
Tupac Amaru Shakur was an African-American rapper, poet, and record producer during the 1990’s. In his adolescent years, he attended the Baltimore School for the Arts where he took acting and dance classes, like ballet. He was taught radical politics by his mother, which helped him develop ideas about topics he would later use in his many works. At an early age, Tupac had seen the injustices of the real world. His mother was a former Black Panther activist who turned to substance abuse during Tupac’s childhood. Aside from that, he and his mother also moved many times while they lived together in New York City. While Tupac was in Baltimore, he discovered rap; not long after, he and his mother moved to the West Coast where he joined the rap group
He may just seem like another rapper to you but if you actually listen to his lyrics you can see he’s not like any rapper out there. His name is Kanye West and he was born in Chicago Illinois. He grew up in the “ghetto” and learned to appreciate life. He didn’t learn to really, truly appreciate life until October of 2002. Driving back to his hotel late one night after a recording session, the new-coming rap/hip-hop artist was involved in a devastating, near fatal car accident. The crash left him with a broken jaw in three places and an appreciation for life. Just weeks after being released from the hospital he recorded his first major hit, “Through the Wire,” with his mouth still wired shut. He records every song like its going to be his last song and that makes every song better than the last. He’s not only a rap artist but also a producer. He has been responsible for being behind songs like Jay-Z’s Izzo, Girls, Girls, Girls, The Takeover, and 03 Bonnie and Clyde.
Em’s personal life hit rock bottom in 1996. He and his longtime girlfriend, Kim, separated. Em wasn’t allowed any visitation rights to see his newborn daughter, Hallie. Because of financial reasons, Em was forced to move back in with his mother. His volatile relationship with his mother later fueled his writing by rapping about her drug addiction and the physical abuse he suffered from her as a child. In this time period Em created his alter ego of Slim Shady. It was a way for him to deal with his situation and try t...
With N.W.A. he melded the noise collages of the Bomb Squad with funky rhythms. On his own, he reworked George Clinton's elastic funk into the self-styled G-Funk, a slow-rolling variation that relied more on sound than content. When he left N.W.A. in 1992, he founded Death Row Records with Suge Knight, and the label quickly became the dominant force in mid-'90s hip-hop thanks to his debut, The Chronic. Soon, most rap records imitated its sound, and his productions for Snoop Doggy Dogg, Warren G and Blackstreet were massive hits. For nearly four years, G-funk dominated hip-hop, and Dre had enough sense to abandon it and Death Row just before the whole empire collapsed in late 1996. Dre retaliated by forming a new company, Aftermath, and while it was initially slow getting started, his bold moves forward earned critical respect.
"After some time Tupac released his own album "2Pacalypse Now", which was a success. His career skyrocketed; he became tight with main pawns in the rapping industry. Tupac signed to Deathrow Labels and released songs and albums with them."
I think Jeremy Fink is the main character and Lizzy Muldon is like his sidekick. Jeremy is a very, very picky eater. He eats peanut butter sandwiches for breakfast, lunch, dinner and midnight snacks. As said in the preface,”My sweat smells like peanut butter. Since I’m such a picky eater, my mother feeds me peanut butter sandwiches at every meal, including breakfast and midnight snacks.” This is why there is a peanut butter sandwich to represent Jeremy because it's all he eats. Jeremy also loves candy and has a mutant candy collection. For example, “Some of the best are a square Good & Plenty, a candy corn with an extra layer of white and my pride and joy - a peanut M&M the size of my pinky finger.” His father’s motto was Life is short; eat
At the same time, he is rapping about his success. The video, which is directed by Dr. Dre himself and Philip G. Atwell, is also showing the impressive collection of awards for gold and platinum albums1. The clip starts with Dr. Dre walking on the street, he is rapping while behind him there is a small local shop selling newspapers and cold drinks. Later from one of such periodicals the singing head of Eminem will appear and the black man, who is reading this newspaper, seems to be disgusted. The reason might be the color of the skin of young MC – Eminem was very often criticized, especially at the beginning of his career, for being a cultural pirate meddling with Black culture to which he did not belong2. However, from the start, he is very
He had a lot of great leadership qualities and possessed the hearts and ears of the people. Tupac had a great sense of humor and a magnetic personality. He was a Shakespearian character. Tupac loved Shakespeare. He studied him intently in performing arts school. His love of plays, in large part due to Shakespeare, led him to write a screenplay while he was locked up in Clinton Correctional. His persona, choices in life, lyrics, the characters in his songs (they were often characters, not real people to be emulated) were straight out of a Shakespearean play. (More than 70 million records sold worldwide) He had "an extraordinary power to touch other people's lives”. He was the embodiment of black rebellion against a hostile consumer society, Tupac rapped about topics that a lot of people actually cared about. He made statements and observations that were meaningful. He gave black youths a voice that paralleled those of the past. Another person is a successful person is Michael Jackson. Jackson made history with his brothers in the Jackson 5 when they became the first group in pop history to have their first four singles hit No.
