Ever since my parents were born, technology was not advanced as it is today. However, they grew up as educated people without the need of outsource help, such as internet, while doing their assignments. As we are in the twenty first century, technology has become very important in everybody in any society. Television, tablets, and smartphones are now part of everyone’s life because of the entertainment they provide and usefulness of these devices in variety of ways. However, today’s lifestyle has forced almost every individual in any household to rely and enjoy the dependency on electronics where any individual noonday’s has at least two electronic devices, such as laptop, smart-phone, or tablet. The necessity of using a smartphones, which are connected to a whole another universe called “internet,” on daily bases rises a question about the next generation and an easier method for accessing the world of information. So, Anderson’s claim about implanting an electrical device in our brains, such as a “feed,” might be considered present in our life to a certain level but the information of the feed has been fed already in our brains as information from different untrusted sources. However, what many internet users do not realize that the internet web evaluates one’s thoughts and bases the outcome information to where it satisfies the user’s need. As Anderson notes “everything we do is thrown in to a big calculation. Like they’re watching us right now” (97). For example, most social media websites have now adapted and dedicated major space of their website as a portion of advertisement which, in fact, it advertises for products based on individual interest and his/her pervious search. Furthermore, following social media trends and sharing our personal thoughts about specific topic on the internet are some of the aspects that the internet studies about our identities. Analyzing what we are experiencing on the internet as human being, we can conclude that world of technology throws everyone based on his personality to where he/she belongs and “these demographic studies that divide everyone up into a few personality types”
