The movie The Proposal is a Romantic comedy released in 2008, it stars Sandra Bullock as Margaret Tate and Ryan Reynolds as Andrew Paxton. This film, in my opinion, was successful; it is filled with drama, surprise and those random bursts of laughter, which cease to amaze me as a viewer. It was really remarkable and easy to watch.This movie is unlike most rom-com in the way that it brings the viewer an amazing story through a different angle, with the combination of Drama, and humor to break the tension, it is a film wonderfully made and correctly executed. One of the drawbacks that I had with watching this movie is its rating, according to the IMDB website this movie was rated as being PG-13, and well there was one part of the movie which truthfully had me concerned, although it was appropriate for most mature teenagers, I felt that the rating may have been …show more content…

Some of the few notable companies you might catch a glimpse of are: Starbucks, Apple, Pringle, FedEx, Armani, Christian Louboutin, etc. The director incorporated these companies within the movie in such a way, that it works well with its plot and setting. The film sets place in a New York publishing company, when Margaret Tate one of the chief editors of the company, is faced with deportation back to Canada, due to an expired visa. As a result, when she is confronted about it, so she makes an on the spot lie and tells her boss that she is in fact engaged to her executive assistant, who as it turns out dislikes Margaret along with everybody else in the office. Andrew plays along with her lie, in return for a promotion up to an editor. The couple faces difficulty when the INS does not fall for their story, and threaten them with jail time and deportation if it is found that they are indeed
