“Forrest Gump” begins with alleviating music playing behind the paramount mountains standing higher and taller than they ever could be. The floating music begins to follow the lonely white feather floating in mid air. It’s like walking on air being happy as can be with a hint of sorrows. Just like this film. This is one of Robert Zemeckis, feature to create one of the most ultimate American stories ever told. It will leave the audience in happy, sorrowful tear every time they watch.
In its very special way, it’s a fictional fable telling a moral. Forrest Gump, takes place in Savannah Georgia where he tells the tale of his life. The camera approaches the bench by following a floating feather through the air, and it feels almost magical. He

These shoes aren't just some ordinary shoes you find at the store. They are his magic shoes. These magical shoes make him very vulnerable in society. The only people in his life who treat him “normal” is Jenny (Robin Wright) and Mrs. Gump ( Sally Field). “But what is normal anyway?” ( Mrs. Gump) It’s quite Obvious that Forrest isn't a very smart man, he is however unwittingly in a lot of historical events. Forrest -- an adventurers name in such an eventful life. His only true love Jenny (Robin Wright) who avoids him throughout the entire movie. Zemeckis, the movie is based on the novel by Winston Groom, he takes Forrest’s life's Story and turns it into a fabled tale telling morals throughout the entire film. As his life goes on he becomes even more companionless.
Zemeckis work of art reveals the truth about Forrest’s life little by little. Zemeckis shows Forrest battle against society. Forrest’s tale suggest he has lived through many historical events such as the first landing on the moon, Vietnam war, the assassinations or attempted assassination of 3 presidents and many more. You will have to see for

And that fact that you don’t have to be smart to hero. Zemeckis brings the movie all together by displaying precise important element in Forrest’s life. We can't judge a person by their I.Q. Forrest Proves this by unintentionally changing history. However, most of the time he doesn’t even realize it. Throughout the movie Forrest does specifically what he is told to, he always does the right thing sometimes without even knowing.
There are many important visuals and moments in “Forrest Gump” that are ludicrous to see. Another movie is Back to the Future, produced by Robert Zemeckis. It is yet again a movie about one person changing history, could it be one Zemeckis tradeworks? Who knows. You might be asking how on earth can one person change the world? But believe me, it is possible. How can Jenny be so nice?
As you may come across many more movie reviews of “Forrest Gump” solely disapproving the ending that it will make you sorrowful. But, this movie is a whole new kind of wonderful even when it makes you want to cry. Viewers will all say why does the movie have to end on a note like this? Even though the end will leave you in tears. These kind of tears are happy and sad all at the same time. You won’t know what to feel. My question for those who think it shouldn’t end that way. How would you like it to
A trait that makes Forrest Gump a great hero is that he is protective, of his friends & Jenny. Jenny was constantly being mistreated & hurt. Whenever Forrest was there & saw this, he punched that guy right in the face to defend her. Jenny also had a horrible childhood & was abused by her dad too. Her house reminded her of what ruined her life, so Forrest had it bulldozed. She never had to look at that awful place ever again. After Jenny died, Forrest looked after Forrest Jr. He taught him to read & do many other things. He cared for & protected his family to the
Forrest Gump is uneducated and acts if so he was a teenager. He does not think of what he is doing most of the times. Forrest had a hard time from when he was a child with braces on his legs to being bullied by other students. No one takes Forrest seriously and it goes on throughout his lifetime. Michael Oher is a young black African American who was abandoned by his drug addicted parents and left him alone to defend for himself. He does not have the proper education to be successful in life. He goes through hard times by going back to school and trying to make himself successful and two adults with a family of their own take him in as their own. In the end both character’s make out rich. Michael and Forrest never seemed to give up on what they believed in.
This is most certainly true for Forrest as once he develops his self-confidence, he realizes that she shouldn’t be looked down upon or treated any differently than any “normal” person. He also develops this positive regard for others and assumes that no one is trying to hurt him and that those around him are inheritably good. This can be seen in his ability to accept everyone around him and how he did not seem to have anyone that he disliked. This is not to say that he loved everyone, but he believed those who deserved to be well treated should
In the beginning of the movie the audience knows that there is something wrong with Forrest Gump. He talks to strangers as if they were a friend, and had braces as a child. The audience also learns that he has an IQ
The character Jenny Curran from the movie Forrest Gump, had a tough life from the very beginning of the movie throughout to the end. During the movie, most parts were assumed and not actually said. For example, as a child she was physically abused as well as sexually abuse, however, it isn’t said, a scene of her with dirty ripped clothes and older Forrest narrating says “her father was always touching and kissing her and her sister” that implies that her father was sexually abusing her. Jenny’s father was not only abusive but an alcoholic and neglected the care of Jenny. Throughout the rest of the movie, Forrest is always there to support and love her, and the detrimental decisions she makes and the different paths she endeavors, inevitably catch up with her in the end. In this essay, one of the main points we see by Jenny’s character are all of the metaphors between what she says and the advice she gives to Forrest, for example, to run from danger and her own constant behavior to fun away from whatever she is afraid of. Jenny Curran will be the focus observation and personality study. Although the main character in this film is Forrest Gump, we are able to see the trials Jenny’s incurs and how it develops her personality. The main idea of this essay is to look at Jenny’s life and find the foundation for what her personality was build on and all of the influences of change throughout her life. Her various personality and life changes will be examined as well as the environmental and social influences.
Forrest’s IQ is significantly lower than the average person’s and as a kid, it restricts him from going to a normal school. Even though it is not him who creates the opportunity to have a proper education, when he is given the chance he makes the most out of it by graduating high school, and going further to attain a college degree. Academics are not the only part of school that pose a challenge to him; Forrest has to put up with exclusion as well as verbal and physical abuse. Even though it is not easy for Forrest to get along with others, he is able to get through his social hindrances by finding someone special named Jenny. She loves him, looks out for him, and through the bullying Forrest ends up finding great happiness with his one special girl. After school, Forrest joins the military, which is one of the best solutions for him. As a result of his IQ, finding a long lasting career would be very difficult. The army is a respected job that Forrest excels at far past the ordinary person. Thus, joining the army creates many opportunities for Forrest, changing his life for the better. He wins a medal of honor and discovers ping pong which he goes on to play in the Olympics. Something far better than honor and fame that he finds in the military is friendship, and out of the friendship Forrest finds riches. There are
and she replies; ”I happened to believe you make your own destiny. You have to do the best with what God gave you.” Mrs. Gump was important in Forrest’s life and he listened to all her advice. Lt. Dan was a strong believer of destiny. He told Forrest, “we all have a destiny, nothing just happens, it’s all part of a plan”.
Candide, which has been credited the base for the book and movie Forrest Gump, features a main character teeming with naiveté. Pangloss says all is for the better and Candide lives by this edict with unaltered optimism. Faced with death and fatigue, Candide is befriended only to be enlisted in the Bulgarian army. Escaping death a few more times, he sees the pains of war and masks the pain with philosophy.

...nd genuine kindness extend further than just treating the President of the United States like a normal person, even though Forrest Gump is ignorant of the ‘issues’ of different people. At the University of Alabama, two African American students are granted acceptance after an enormous ordeal on blacks going to colleges with whites because of the insane amount of racism the United States of America had. As the two African American students made their way up the staircase, one dropped a book and Forrest rushed through police officers and rioters to pick up the book and hand the book to the colored student who dropped it. Forrest’s ignorance definitely contributes to his selflessness and generosity towards people who are different (during the time period in American history the movie was based on), however, it is one of his traits that makes him a true unexpected hero.
As a reporter explains the government of Alabama’s opposition towards desegregation in colleges, Forrest stumbles cluelessly around the protests, wondering why everyone is so upset about some kids wanting to go to school. At one point Forrest even breaks through the crowd of protesters to give the actress that portrayed Vivian Malone her misplaced notebook. This moment in United States history was very
Forrest attended a “normal” school during the first grade, but his lack of attention kept in the classroom forced his teacher to demote him to a more special school. Gump realized early on, life was no box of chocolates, and knew he was treated unfairly by many. Forrest begins, “Bein a idiot is no box of chocolates. People laugh, lose patience, treat you shabby. Now they says folks sposed to be kind to the afflicted, but let me tell you—it ain't always that way.”
The Movie "Forest Gump" has many underlying messages that are shown throughout the story; as told by forest Gump himself. These stories center around the main character Forrest Gump as he overcomes the struggles and hardships throughout his life; and although he might of not had the picture perfect life, he always seemed to be optimistic and prospered even in the worst of times. The famous quotes stating "Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you’re gonna get.” and "shit happens" can be taken and analyzed in various ways.
Forrest was never afraid to try new things in life. Some were successful, some were not. Everyone has some destiny in their life; one just needs to carve the right path. 4) Be honest always One of the main things that made Forrest stand out was that he was honest always (Except that he lied about the racket he used in China. A white lie though).
It is a intressting question. Forrest Gump is a well know phenomen all around the world. In the movie almost all humans Gump meets in his life, judge him for the beginning. He seems to be strange with his IQ. One thing which comeback a bunch of times in the movie are a meaning Forrest mother said to a teather who thought Forrest not is smart enough to go in a normal school.
