Analysis of Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare 1. The prologue at the start tells us about where, when and why this story happened. It starts off in the village of Verona where two families both as wealthy as each other have a old family quarrel and begin the fighting of these two house holds. It also tells us about how the fighting ends by the son and daughter falling madly in love, through an unfortunate turn of events they take their lives. 2. The Montagues and Capulets are always fighting because they can never really get along with each other when an old feud that no one can really remember who started it, caused this hatred that lead to blood shed. Tybalt (prince of cats) some times causes it, which starts the fight between each family. First Benvolio and other Montagues come across the Capulet men and he tries to keep the peace between them, however Tybalt (Capulet) hates all Montagues and so he starts the fight anyway. 3. The prince threatens that if the fighting continues between the Capulets and the Montagues then he will order both of the fathers’ execution. 4. When we first meet Romeo he was brooding over Rosaline and saying that he has lost a greatest love of his life. His mood is sad, unhappy, lonely and frustrated. We don’t know weather he was dumped or weather he’d just met her. All we know is that he is obsessed with her. 5. Romeo’s friends tease him because they think he’s really too obsessed over Rosaline and they think that he should just forget about her and just get on with his life like any other normal person. 6. Paris is the mayor’s son and so has allot of money as well as power when he becomes mayor. And the reason that Capulet is throwing a party is because Paris has been engaged to Juliet by arrangement and he wants to celebrate their marriage with everyone. 7. Romeo is thinking of Rosaline before the party and if she’ll be

Donna’s mother describes the shocking details of her childhood and the non-voluntary removal from her home, although no exact reason was stated, we are left to assume the reason was due to the sexual abuse she suffered from her father. Later in the story she reveals the reasons for voluntarily giving up custody of Donna. Unable to protect herself from her abusive husband/ pimp/ kidnapper, Donna’s mother sought the aid of social services as she was fearful for Donna’s safety.
One of Bourdieu’s central arguments is that what we refer to as “capital” is actually the collective product of four sub-types of capital: economic, social, symbolic, and cultural. Although these different types of capital are distinct categories, they intersect to create the more mainstream idea of capital. Similarly, Hill Collins and Bilge break down the broad idea of power into smaller components in order to examine how power operates, and how its tied to

Who would be willing to die for their loved ones? Romeo and Juliet would and did. Romeo and Juliet’s love and death brought two families together who could not even remember the origin of their hate. When the parents saw what their children's love for each other, they realized that their fighting had only led to suffering and insoluble conflict. Romeo and Juliet loved each other to an extent that they killed themselves rather than live apart. They did it with no hiatus. Juliet says before she kills herself, “O happy dagger, This is thy sheath. There rust and let me die.”( 5, 3, 182-183) demonstrating how she would rather die than not be with him.
2) “My family have been prominent, well-to-do people in this Middle Western city for three generations.”
B. A homeless man who goes by the name of “Red” says that shelters are very unsafe. While in a shelter he once was stabbed and robbed for his sneakers. He says he rather ride the trains all night before he stays in another shelter.
Romeo changes throughout the book. When Romeo went to the Capulets party, he was in love with Rosaline. He saw Juliet and immediately loved her. In act two scene two it Romeo says this about Juliet, "Two of the fairest stars in all the heaven, Having some business, do entreat her eyes To twinkle in their spheres till they return." He compares her eyes to stars in the night sky. Romeo talks about Juliet and is wanting to talk to her. This shows how Romeo is loving and sweet. In the last act of the book Romeo sees Juliet dead in the tomb. She is not really dead, but he doesn't know that. He kills himself so he can be with her in heaven. Romeo is a very loving person, but in one scene he turns into a very hateful person.
In act one scene three of Romeo and Juliet Lord Capulet states “…She hath not seen the change of fourteen years. Ere we may think her ripe to be a bride.” This means that Juliet is not quite fourteen years old and her father is not sure if she is ready to become a wife and mother. There are many differences between how people marry today, and how they married in the time of Romeo and Juliet. Some of the differences are when the people marry, why people marry, and also the level of maturity people marry at.
Through the flaws in the characterization of his characters, Shakespeare allows their weakness to manipulate and cloud their judgment. This fundamentally leads to the outcome of Romeo and Juliet, with each weakness presenting a conflict that alters the characters fate. Being especially true with the star-crossed lovers, William Shakespeare leads their perfect love into tragedy with these conflicts. In Romeo and Juliet, Juliet, Friar Lawrence, and Tybalt all contribute to conflicts that enhance the plot. From destructive flaws in their characterizations, Juliet, Friar Lawrence, and Tybalt are all consequently controlled by their weakness, therefore affecting the outcome of the play.

After watching and reviewing the award-winning drama Fruitvale Station, we can see that capital played a tremendous role in Oscar Grant’s life. While there were many forms of capital in the movie, the ones I am going to focus on and that I believe had the biggest impacts on Oscar Grant are as follows: Economic capital, cultural capital, social capital, and symbolic capital. These are also known as Pierre Bourdieu’s Four Types of Capital.
What makes a piece of literature relevant or irrelevant to a society? There have been many debates on the relevance about particular pieces of literature, especially old literature, in the modern day. Their relevance can be judged by how they address issues happening in society when they were written compared to those same issues today. It can also be judged on whether the themes present can apply to the modern day. And even if a story portrays issues that are either resolved or irrelevant today it can still have value on how it portrays human nature The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet is a relevant work for a person in modern times due to its themes on suicide, human recklessness, and violence and revenge.
