Technology is evolving rapidly in today’s society. Different types of technology are coming into the scene. One piece that has been revealed and is used by millions of people is 3D printers. In the documentary “Print the Legend,” viewers can learn about the process of making a 3D printer and the marketing behind this piece of technology. Maxim Lobovsky created this 3D printer company based off his interest in 3D printing technology. Similar to Makerbot’s blueprint section Formlabs has their own blueprint section as well. On Formlabs’ website you can find blueprints to making tiny vintage televisions to making your own board game. During the first couple months of Formlabs becoming a company they had a lawsuit on their hands. One of the bigger competitors in the market sued Formlabs for patent infringement related to the laser-based stereolithography techniques. Lobovsky believed that 3D printing would help spark creativity in our younger generation. Maxim Lobovsky has an impressive background, a student from MIT where Lobosky studied Media Arts and Science. Lobovsky started Formlabs when he was only 25 years old. In the beginning of founding Formlabs, Lobovsky made a Kickstarter for the company. The original goal for their Kickstarter was 100,000 dollars by the end of their Kickstarter campaign Formlabs received 2.9 million dollars. Peter Sawchyn started Sawchyn guitars back in 1980 and he specialized in custom, handmade mandolins and guitars. When Peter was a teenager, he developed a passion for making guitars all while having no previous training nor desire to make them. During this time, he was able to make his very first guitar on his own. The Lego is a plastic building brick. It was made by Ole Kirk Christiansen in Denmark. The first Legos were actually plastic but had to go back to wood because, the people did not like them. But lets start at the beginning, Ole Kirk first started making wooden furniture. But one day, the workshop caught fire. Determined to continue on, Ole Kirk Christiansen wasn’t going to give up yet, so he built a new shop and worked on expanding his productions.
The hard edge bricks that fundamentally built the popular toy industry were created by a Danish master carpenter form Denmark. Ole Kirk Kristiansen purchased a workshop in the small town of Billund and began to build houses and furniture. When the Great Depression started becoming an intimidating force to close his workshop permanently, he reached for his real passion creating toys for kids in 1932. The time was even harder in 1934 for Kristiansen, combating the loss of his wife and raising 4 young boys and founding LEGO. While it is true Ole Kirk was not the first to create these plastic bricks, he was the first man to introduce the “Automatic Binding Bricks” and they were altered off a British inventor who created a comparable product called the “Kiddicraft brick”. The role Ole Kirk Kristiansen played in the evolution of popular toys is ingenious. His invention is still admired by young to old people all over the world today. Ole Kirk’s impact can be unstated through the candy colored bricks he produced, his significance as a pop culture icon, and lasting presence of his legacy of LEGO in today’s society.
The field of bioprinting, using 3D printing technology for producing live cells with extreme accuracy, could be the answer to many of the problems we as humans face in the medical field. It could be the end to organ waiting lists and an alternative for organ transplants. In 3D printing technology lies the potential to replace the testing of new drugs on animals. However, the idea of applying 3 dimensional printing to the health industry is still quite new and yet to have a major impact. The topic I have selected for my essay will be on 3D printing in education, I chose this emerging technology because of my place of work and how 3D printing may be involved their within the next few years. This would require me to research how 3D printers work and how to operate them. I also believe that having 3D printers in schools will generate a new wave of creative children in the future. In this essay I will be showing how a 3D printer works and how the machines operate. I will be providing example on why I think 3D printing is important for education, as well as showing what hurdles 3D printing has to overcome in regards to Intellectual property rights and the legality of what you can and cannot print. In this essay I am going to point out the advantages of what a 3D printer can achieve for the future and how it can possibly shape the way we educate our children.

Pre-production accounts for everything taken place before any shooting occurs, followed by the actual production of the film, post-production will then consist of piecing the film together, and finally the film must reach an audience. Each step of this process contributes to the final product, and does so in a unique right. The process of film making will now start chronologically, stemming from the idea of the story, producing that story into a film, editing that footage together, and finally delivering that story to its viewers.
