I Would Sacrifice Everything for You!
(Three Messages from Federico 's Falcon)
I would sacrifice everything for you...Just Kidding! Ha, fooled you, huh? As if I believe that you are actually going to stay with me for me to actually believe that I am willing to sacrifice for you! Ha, Never! This is my most precious baby, my everything, as if I would just sacrifice him for the likes of you! Never! Now, Leave and please, don’t ever come back. Harsh, so harsh, but I guess you never knew real love huh? If you’re really in love, wouldn’t you sacrifice everything for them? Federico did, for the woman who took everything from him, and made him live on a farm, in poverty. He loved this every beautiful, rich woman and he sacrificed everything for her, even when he was in poverty. But, did she ever take notice? Not till she found out what he fed her, oh, no. It took her forever, to see what he did for her and see how much he loved her. He sacrificed everything for her, his falcon, his money, and his rank in the economy, and not till

He sacrificed all his money on gifts and trinkets for a woman that never looked his way. He sacrificed his economic rank when he lost all of his money because of the woman he loved and had to resort to poverty on his farm. Lastly, he sacrificed his Falcon for breakfast for the woman he loved because he had nothing to offer her for breakfast, because she made him go into poverty and lost his economic rank. All of this was for love, and in the end she married him, but only because he sacrificed everything for this woman. If he wouldn’t have he would have never gotten her, but do you agree with him sacrificing everything for this woman? Do you think that it was foolish that he did? Should he have just left her alone and never bothered with her in the first place? What do you think about all
After a few days of grieving, Editha went to George’s mother’s house. During a tragic even in a love-war story, both sides of the family would come together and overcome the obstacle. However, in Editha when she went to George’s parent’s house the mother gave more guilt to Editha saying, “He told me he had asked you to come if he got killed. You did not expect that, I suppose, when you sent him” (1499). The mother continues to say, “When they give their men up to their country, they think they will come marching back, somehow, just as gay as they went...and they are so much the prouder of them” (1500). This comment is reffering to the typical type of love-war stories that have been written, undercutting the romantic plots.
In the novel The Wings of a Falcon, the author Cynthia Voigt uses the structure of an adventure tale to tell the story of courage and bravery. Oriel, an orphan boy with his friend Griff, encounter many hardships to earn the title of the Earl. In this story, the author uses the literary devices of setting, characterization, and symbol, which all make the book an interesting one to read.
I don’t recall if Gutman said it in the movie about the Falcon being coated by lacquer to obfuscate that it’s really made of gold and jewels. I think it was implied that nothing is what they really seem to be. This is what I believe Dashiell Hammett was trying to communicate through his novel, ‘The Maltese Falcon.’ In this paper I will write about why I believe what is Hammett trying to convey through his cast of characters. These characters are unlike the image and stereotype cast upon their roles.
Sacrifice is a common motif in the work, and it allows the reader to visualize what is most meaningful to each of the characters. Hosseini’s use of Mariam’s sacrifice, along with those of the other characters, gives the reader a taste of what the characters value and how it shapes the meaning of the novel as a
Sebastian, the twin brother of Viola who was lost at sea after a shipwreck, and Lady Olivia are the first to marry, but things are not as they seem. During the weeks leading up to matrimony, Olivia fell madly in love with Cesario, who though looks and sounds just as Sebastian, is truly Viola dressed as a man. Sebastian does not realize this as he meets Olivia for the first time. He is amazed that a woman of her statue and beaut...
Galileo Galilei was an Italian scientist, often referred to as “the father of modern physics”. He was one of the inventors of the telescope and a strong proponent of Copernicanism. Galileo used his invention to make astronomical observations which supported Copernicus’ heliocentric model of the universe. These discoveries led to a fierce dispute, because they contradicted the theory which was prevalent at the time – that the universe followed a geocentric model, a theory, which had been accepted by the Catholic Church. To address this dispute, Galileo wrote a letter to Tuscany’s Grand Duchess Christina, in which he presented his position on the relation between science and religion, stating that the Bible does not contradict science.
...ne and kill all of the suitors that took advantage of his wife Penelope’s hospitality for so many years. This story shows that gods from any religion, like the Catholic faith and Greek religion, show forgiveness for almost anything. Redemption is something we all receive.
Unaware of what happened at Capulet’s party, Mercutio assumes that Romeo is still heartbroken from Rosalind. Line 15 in Act II, Scene IV provides an alternative perspective that exposes the true nature of young love. “Alas poor Romeo, he is already dead, stabbed with a white wench’s black eye, run through the ear with a love song.” Mercutio assumes that love only results in pain, with Romeo’s troubles with infatuation only supporting his belief. Mercutio’s dissatisfied tone, in addition to his perspective on the matter, reveals how others view Romeo. Moreover, it reveals how much love influences
"What say you? can you love the gentleman? This night you shall behold him at our feast; Read o'er the volume of young Paris' face, And find delight writ there with beauty's pen; Examine every married lineament, And see how one another lends content; And what obscur'd in this fair volume lies Find written in the margent of his eyes. This precious book of love, this unbound lover, To beautify him, only lacks a cover: The fish lives in the sea; and 'tis much pride For fair without the fair within to hide: That book in many's eyes doth share the glory, That in gold clasps locks in the golden story; So shall you share all that he doth possess, By having him, maki...
Even though the brother and sister value money differently in “Love”, at the end of the day, the relationship the two have with each other is more important that the money. The theme of love is portrayed through the brother in the story. It is apparent that he loves and cares for his sister very much. In the opening of the piece, it states, “The wanting to give is only learned through the learning to love” (243) and this statement is personified though the brother. He dreamed of finally getting the gold ring at the Flying Horses but when he finally gets it, he gives it up. He loves his sister and valued her happiness so much he gave up his own happiness. Early on, the nephew seems selfish because he spends all of his money so quickly. The nephew’s display of love and kindness at the end proves how mature this boy actually is. The boy was able to understand love in a very mature way and values love over money. In the end, the two realize that money doesn’t buy or prove happiness or love. It is our actions that prove
“At mine unworthiness that dare not offer what I desire to give and much less take what I shall die to want But his is trifling, and all the more it seeks to hide itself, The bigger bulk it shows. Hence, bashful cunning, and prompt me, plain and holy innocence. I am your wife if you will marry me. If not, I’ll die your maid. To be your fellow you may deny me, but I’ll be your servant whether you will or no” (Shakespeare, Act3.
"Love may grow soft or even rotten (Claudio's "rotten orange" at the altar is more nearly a description of himself at the moment than it is of Hero), or, at the other extreme, it may harden ...
William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet is the perfect example of being vulnerable to another, but perhaps they exceed the idea. “My bounty is as boundless as the sea, my love as deep; the more I give to thee, the more I have, for both are infinite.” (Act II, scene ii, page 6) This may seem appeasing in hindsight, but the two are so in love it leads to both of their deaths at a young age because of their inabi...

Do you not see how our future would be if we let love have its way with us? Do you not see how many fortunes, we would have all together only if you said yes, YES I ACCEPT. ( Orsino singing) “If music be the food of love, play.” Oh Lady Olivia why are you so stubborn through the skull? when are you going to realize I want to start something great with you?I hope Cesario has been successful with the message from me to Olivia. I know for sure having Olivia by my side we can rule the whole earth and have many sons, daughters. I don’t blame Olivia for playing hard to get, I mean she’s very beautiful with an hour glass body. What man on earth wouldn’t want to have her as theirs? I remember that kiss we shared, very lovely.“O, she that hath a heart of that fine frame, her sweet perfection with one self
