Working Thesis: Third world counties have limited opportunities to make a standardized, fair living with the options presented for working, living, and eating. Ted talks present two videos on the subject. Video one, by Noy Thrupkaew “Human Trafficking is all Around You. This is How It Works.” depicts a woman who is educated in the matter, passionate in her message, and has some relevant personal experience. Video two by Robert Neuwirth video “The Hidden World of Shadow City’s” has a strong message of how todays abandoned and unoccupied areas will be tomorrows cities through a show and tell PowerPoint. Although both journalists propose the theme of life problems in third world counties, Thrupkaew’s profound message illustrates a mind-altering perspective on human trafficking. …show more content…

The journalist expresses her foundation of passion, of the subject through a personal experience. She tells of her earliest memories as a child with her distant relative who is a human trafficking victim. Ms. Threpkaew research shows, “Human trafficking consists of 68% of forced labor exploitation, 22% forced prostitution, and 10% state-imposed labor”. In many situations including, orders requested on Amazon, Thailand fishing industry, to the orange farms in California. Not only does she state the problem that we as a people aren’t doing enough to stop this harsh labor based upon basic statistics, but she also opposes a solution to that
