One Litre of Tears bring about the bursts of emotions. This sentimental movie was adapted from a true story of a girl named Aya Kito. As she progressed throughout her teenage years, she developed a disease called the spinocerebellar ataxia, a disease that causes the cells in the cerebellum to deteriorate causing the failure of muscle movement, eye-to-hand coordination, and lack of balance. Eventually, anyone that experiences spinocerebellar ataxia will lose the ability to walk, talk, and eat. There is no known cause for this disease; therefore, there is no cure for it. As Aya tries to cope with the hardships of the disease, she writes diary entries to show the hardships of her daily life. The diary entries were then published shortly before …show more content…
Throughout the whole movie, they only filmed it during the day time instead of the night time. By filming during the day time, it shows sun shine which portrays strength and happiness. This was to help people stay positive about the disease. The camera angles were mostly establishing shots, long shots, and medium shots. The establishing shots were used in between the change of scenes and the movie usually shows buildings, houses, and schools. Long shots were used to show Aya’s full body. This showed the progress of the disease on her body, and how her body is deterioration day by day. Medium shots were usually taken during the conversations between the actors and actresses in the movie. The main character of One Litre of Tears, Aya Kito, played her role significantly well. Her acting skills make the audience believe that she has the disease. The way her body was shaking. The way her mouth was crooked due to the disease. The way she communicated with others at the peak of the disease. She carefully took her acting to the next level. It is extremely hard to talk like there is something stuck in my throat, or even walk abnormally for a long period of time. There are quite a few cuts throughout the movie. It was used to replace scenes that are nearby. For example, when Aya was in the hospital, she was doing her usual rehab training. As …show more content…
Therefore, One Litre of Tears is a melancholy yet motivational movie that would be able to persuade others to keep trying. The theory would be if the individual would keep going on in life, not only does it gives self-satisfaction, but it also makes those around them proud as well. The movie was fantastic and it could not be done any better. The actors and actresses addressed their emotions well and the audience could feel that the characters in the movie could feel. It is like their emotions are directly transferred into ourselves. Thus, One Litre of Tears could make a significant impact on those who feel like their life is about to end and there is nothing else they could do about it in order to keep them going and try
The Language You Cry In” directed by Angel Serrano and Alvaro Toepko, produced a documentary that finds the meaningful links between African Americans and their ancestral past. It goes back to the hundreds of years and thousands of miles from the Gullah people to the present day in Georgia back to 18th century Sierra Leone. The film demonstrates how the African Americans continued to have memory links of their ancestors when they were enslaved and segregated. It begins with a story of memory, and how the family was reunited with one of their own through a song that was able to remember those who sang it in the past.
The idea of independence from Great Britain, it is something that is so commonplace a thing that I think very little of it on a day-to-day basis, but there was once a time when it was not so common, there was even a time when many thought the idea of fighting for independence was a foolhardy or reckless move and we were better off under the rule of Great Britain. This was not necessarily an incorrect way of thinking as Great Britain had provided the colonies with resources that would have taken far longer to develop for themselves. In 1776, Thomas Paine wrote Common Sense a pamphlet that encouraged this new way of thinking and urged the people of the thirteen colonies to fight for their independence from Great Britain, as their help was now seeming to become a hindrance.

Relationships are complicated, not every relationship will last, and this seems to be the most apparent with romantic relationships, as these types of relationships two partners will often come together and open up to each other and become very close. Every relationship needs effective communication, and this is evident in the film, The Breakup; starring Jennifer Aniston and Vince Vaughn. This film ties in with Interpersonal Communications very well as it portrays its message of poor communication very well. Models of Relational Dynamics, couples conflict styles, crazymakers, and conflict in relational systems are some of the topics that the film perfectly depicts.

The Bad and The Beautiful (1952) and State and Main (2000) are films within films that unmask Hollywood Cinema as a dream factory and expose the grotesque, veneer hidden by the luxury of stars. The Bad and the Beautiful, directed by Vincent Minnelli, is a black and white film narrated in flashback form. The films theatrical nature requires more close-ups than wide-screen shots to capture the character’s psychological turmoil. For example, Fred and Jonathan’s car ride is captured in a close-up to signify their friendship; however their relationship deteriorates after Jonathan’s deceit. While the camera zooms out, Fred stands alone motionless. Here, Fred is captured from a distance at eye-level and he becomes ostracized by the film industry and

“How can you buy or sell the sky-the warmth of the land? The idea is strange to us. Yet we do not own the freshness of air or the sparkle of the water. How can you buy them from us? We will decide in our time” (Chief Seattle: 1855). In the Documentary “Flow – for the love of water” it visualizes the global crisis we face on Mother’s Earth as it pertains to the diminishing of fresh water. The Documentary portrays along with the help of experts that this global crises is affecting each and every one of us in today’s society including animals. ...ng the underlying theme that drives the story and the movie, propels the reader and viewer to rekindle the desire to hope above all else because hope is all one has in devastating as well as dire needs. Hope overcomes despair, permits others to see your “inner light” to develop integrity which connects with honesty and trust. Hope is the inspiration to continue to live regardless of the circumstances. Red may have narrated; “Let me tell you something my friend. Hope is a dangerous thing. Hope can drive a man insane.” But, Andy Dufresne states it best: “Get busy living, or get busy dying.”
The film The Liberator portrays the life of Simon Bolivar, an influential activist in the revolutions against the Spanish Empire in South America. The movie does a great job in displaying the many aspects of Simon Bolivar, what he stood for and the way he felt towards his people. Like the majority of films this The Liberator has its flaws.

Grief in media rarely goes in depth and is often rush often with little consideration to how it impacts people 's everyday lives. This may be a reflection of how grief is viewed in our society. Collectively people are uncomfortable with death and talking about it publicly. We rather acknowledged it as little as possible. The movie “My girl” takes on the unique plotline of grief and loss. The movie, taking place in a funeral home, touches on both tangible and symbolic loss. These losses are represented in numerous instances throughout the movie within the character development of the main cast.
