Analysis Of The Essay: The Enduring Appeal Of Agatha Christie

312 Words1 Page

Overall, the essay “The Enduring Appeal of Agatha Christie” was not effective. The introduction paragraph and the conclusion paragraph were well written. They both gave general and specific details, as well properly incorporated the thesis. However, the body paragraphs did not successfully back up the thesis. To begin, the first paragraph does not have any evidence that supports the thesis of readers appreciating Christie’s novels because of her strong character. In this paragraph many characters from Agatha Christie’s book are listed, but there are no “because statements” provided to the readers. Without those statement there is not any proof to validate that these characters are, in fact, reasons why readers appreciate Christie’s novels.
