In Deborah Tannen’s “Sex, Lies, and Conversation: Why Is It So Hard for Men and Women to Talk to Each Other?” she explains the different ways men and women communicate with each other. In the first point she makes, it’s all about how people communicated as we grew up. As children, girls would play with other girls, “exchanging secrets” (Tannen 409). And boys are more based on physically doing things together.
