In 1989, Tom schulman wrote the Dead poets society movie. Peter weir who direct the movie . The main actors in the movie were Robin Williams as English teacher , Neil Parry as a student who is under his father's pressure to become a doctor but he wants to be an actor , Todd Anderson who had a very shy personality ,Steven Meeks the excellent student in Latin Language and mathematics and other students. In this report, I am going to talk about the mr.kiting, his method in teaching , the students and how did they react on the teacher's methodology. Lastly, I will link the movie with .... theory and I will illustrate what did I learn from this movie.

In the next class , he made the students wrote their own poetry and presented in front of the class. Mr.Kiting taught the students William Shakespearepoetry and about the poetry , he said " we don't study because it is cute , it is part of human being". Also, he asked the students to stand above the table because he went them to look at things in different ways and from another perspective. In addition, he gave the students outdoor class to make them aware about how sport push people to exceed.
The students in the movie were Neil Perry, Todd Anderson,Richard Cameron, Steven Meeks, who knows Latin, Charlie Dalton,Knox Overstreet. One of the students find about dead poets society club , mr.kiting was part of that club when he was student , Todd , Neil and Overstreet asked mr.kiting about the club and he told them about a cave near the school where the members of the club met and pass poetry .The students decide to go to that cave and revive the dead poets society club but without the school permission.They start to go their , read about the dead poets society

He stressed the part of language and the significance of cooperations and relationships amongst grown-ups and kids. He trusted that the individuals, such as teachers, parents/guardians or people of kin, help build the learning of children. This was obvious in my observation, the teacher was a good model of this. For the first part of the day (during free time), the teacher allow the students to explore and play to their liking. But to the class being small, she could see and what everybody was doing without strolling around the room. One thing I notice was how well behaved the the kids were, which reduced the requirement for the teacher to constantly watch out for troublemakers. While four of the children where playing the duck, duck, goose game, she strolled over to them and began walking behind the leader and tapping the kids on the heads too, they thought it was so amusing. She encouraged the "goose" to run and catch the leader. The first boy that was selected as a goose, became a little upset when they did not catch leader. The teacher took an positive approach and explain to the young boy, that it was okay, it was game and that he would get another chance. Overall, the kids connected and played with each other well. My parents have always pushed me to be better than they were. They knew that if I wanted to be successful I needed to go to college. In highschool, they always made me put my education before anything else. My parents didn’t go to college so they would always tell me to not make that mistake because their lives could have been easier if they would of just invested a few more years into their education. They would also tell me about all the opportunities that missed out on because they decided not to further their education.
Director Peter Weir, director of The Truman Show, presents the importance of individuality and speaking up in his movie Dead Poets Society, a fictional but realistic story that tells the story of a group of friends at the Wellington Academy prep school and their interactions with their new English teacher, John Keating (Robin Williams). Keating teaches the boys life lessons through some interesting teaching methods that end up changing his students’ approach to life’s challenging situations. Throughout watching Dead Poets Society, I found myself liking the movie more and more as it progressed.
I was raised in an encouraging household where both of my parents greatly valued education. Although they were high school graduates, neither could afford to attend college; a combination of family and financial woes ultimately halted their path. As a result, my parents frequently reminded me that getting a good education meant better opportunities for my future. To my parents, that seemed to be the overarching goal: a better life for me than the one they had. My parents wanted me to excel and supported me financially and emotionally of which the former was something their parents were not able to provide. Their desire to facilitate a change in my destiny is one of many essential events that contributed to my world view.
My parents have this perfect life for me pictured in their heads, and the first thing they see me doing is going to college. They expect the best of me, and so by going to college, I will not only have fulfilled their goals for me, but I will have accomplished one of the goals I have set for myself. In our culture, when parents come to the age where they can’t support themselves, it is the duty of the children to look after them.
“Dead Poet’s Society” is a film set in the late fifties at a prestigious school for boys called the Welton Academy. The story focuses on an unorthodox English teacher and his impact upon his students, especially a group of seven boys. The primary focus of this film, in my opinion, is the theme of coming of age. The film itself highlights many important and relevent issues that teenagers face in the process of trying to find out who they are as a person. The students are constantly pressured to conform by adults throughout most of the film. Although these adults are only trying to help the boys, it is important that they figure themselves out and develop their own way of thinking. When the boys realize this, they grow up themselves. The character of Todd is a fantastic example of this. Throughout most of the film, this shy boy is ultimately unwilling and reluctant to go against what he is told. When Neil commits suicide, he begins to see the world in a very different way and understands that sometimes questioning the decisions and regulations accepted by society is necessary.
I didn’t have a lot growing up but I my parents made sure we always have what we needed. My mother and father always wanted me to get an engineer or a business degree. They wanted to be able to make more money and become more successful than they ever were. When I showed an interest in history and psychology in high school I knew they would be disappointed in me. I never cared about making money, I knew I wanted to be able to make a living doing something that I was passionate about. One day I hope to get my degree in social work and do just that. One of my favorite sayings is that if you enjoy what you do you will never work a day in your life written by Confucius.

In addition, this quote signifies us that we are in control of our lives and that we should decide on our future; as long as we know what we truly want to do. The philosophy, which believes a person needs to find their individual, unique self and not allow the conformist ways of society to hamper the ability to have self-reliance, is introduced by Mr. Keating, the new English teacher who, through his distinctive teaching methods, exemplifies the transcendentalist idea and breathes life into it. I never once in my life sat down with myself and really thought about what my parents had to go through and all the sacrifices they had to make in order to ensure that I have a better life and a brighter future. Thinking back now, the frustration I feel eats away at me constantly that I was not more thankful and did not do more to help. This is most definitely a lesson that is learned better late than never. Going forward now I have three main focuses for when I enter college, the first is undoubtedly God and my spiritual life, which forced me to have this revelation. The second focus has to be my family, which I appreciate and value more than ever now. The final focus I have, but certainly not the least, is to be successful in my endeavors throughout college. Seeing how much my parents cared for me by seeing them work as hard as they could just so my siblings and I could live a better life gives me all the motivation in the world to work as hard as I can to not only give back to them, but for my future children to live an even better life than I
In high school, students are responsible to get high grades in order to enter university and then choose their major. In school, students cannot pick the courses they want to study because it is mandatory. Class timing in high school is fixed and is schedules are not flexible. Most high school students are dependent on their teachers as well as their parents to remind them of their responsibilities. In university, on the other hand, students grow as individuals and they become independent. Their responsibility towards education becomes more valued to themselves because they are studying their desired major. Students must pick the courses that they are willing to study for every semester based on a guide. Not only that, but also they can choose the timings of the classes that suit them. University students are more aware of their own duties and responsibilities toward their studies. Therefore, they do not need parents reminding them of their own
I can be completely open and honest with them about anything, and it’s really nice to know that things are that way with them. No matter how many mistakes I make, they both continue to have faith in me, and believe that I have a good head on my shoulders. That put my mind at ease knowing that they trust me, and my judgement. That’s exactly why no matter where I go in life, or how far away I may move, my parents will always be an important part in my life. I tell them I want to shoot for the stars, and they’ll tell me to aim for the moon. They believe in my dreams and ambitions, and they want me to go for them. It’s really nice knowing that I’ve had them to lead and guide me this far. It makes me feel more confident as I head into adulthood knowing that I have had them to prepare me to take the right path. It’s like a lovely little guideline that’s forever forged into my mind, and it gives me a sense of comfort, and the confidence I need to go for the things I want. They push me to go to college and see what I’m interested in doing for a career. They want me to be completely confident in the career that I choose, and to give the job my best
