An Updated Frame Story

Flesh eating monsters ravage the streets all across the United States when the Ebola Virus hit. A man named Herb More is the owner of a flower shop where a group decides to take shelter from the outbreak. Including Mr. Herb there are five people; Dane Blanco the police officer, Sam Paul the Doctor, Justice Balderas a college student, and Hakim Reeves another college student. It is August, Third 2020 in Central Texas. So the days are incredibly hot for the group.

It has been a month since the outbreak so, there is no more electricity or running water. The group all states their names and one thing about themselves. They realize the windows are big and will pose a threat if zombies see them. Those things will break right through. Officer Dane mentioned the grocery store across the street from the flower shop. Justice tells the group about about a few wooden shacks by the parking lot behind the flower shop.

Hakim, being the best at formulating plans, writes up a plan for the next day at noon when it's the brightest to first get the groceries and then get the wood on the way back.

They use the buddy system to pair off and since the group is an odd number, one group is two people and the other is three. Dr. Sam and Mr. Herb get in one group and the college students, and Officer Dane get in another. The college students and Dane get ready to cross the highway full of wrecked cars and bodies.

Before the cross the street each of them grab something to use as a weapon. Officer Dane takes the lead, smashing the head of a zombie that leapt towards him. All three of them walk carefully across the highway seeing all the rotten corpses fighting to break free from their seat belts. There are very few zombies outside the cars that don't already have missing limbs or smashed bodies.Off to the side no one saw that Justice was scratched by one of the zombies and when it knocked him down, saliva hit Justice in the

eye.

When they finally reach the grocery store, Dr. Sam goes to the shacks to try to get the wood himself. While Officer Dane and the college students got essentials they were quickly on their way back, as there is not much resistance from the zombies there. On the other hand, Dr. Sam was ambushed by a zombie. Mr. Herb quickly came to Sam's aid and killed the zombie over top of him. When Sam stood up they pick up the wood and carry it quickly to the flower shop. Luckily Sam has no scratches and no symptoms of the virus.

Now with the essentials for living and the wood to board up the windows, the team gets to work. Mr. Herb takes care of the food and putting it all away. Dane and Sam start boarding up the windows and Justice shows Hakim the scratches he received. Sam came to his aid fast but soon decided he will turn soon. They will have to send him out of the flower shop so he doesn't kill or turn any of them. After a while Justice is dead but the group is in the store now with nothing to do with the day. They start to plan on how to tell stories, Officer Dane is chosen to go first.
