Introduction
I chose this topic because I am a Tennis player myself. Another reason I chose this topic is because Tennis is my favorite sport to play. I hope to learn about how the sport was created. Also, HI hope to learn about famous players. I think that it is important for some of the society to know about this sport because it is one of the biggest sports in the world. Also everyone should learn how to play.

History
Tennis has been around for a long time. It was made in France during the 12th century. No one knows the person who made the sport, but, the people who made the Association of Tennis Professionals are Jack Kramer, Donald Dell, Cliff Drysdale. Speaking of Professional tennis, tennis was inducted into the olympics in 1896 but was dropped in 1924. It was brought back in 1988. The size of the court is 23.78 meters or 78.0 feet. The net is 3 feet 6 inches tall.

You play to the first to two sets out of three except for the guys in the Grand slam tournament where they play first to three out of five. The Grand Slam tournaments are Wimbledon, US Open, Australian Open, and French Open. You win a set by winning six games but you must win by two games. You win games by winning points. Points are counted like this 15,30,40 if the game is tied 40-40 then you go into ads. You need to win two points in a row after 40-40. If you lose the first point after 40-40 but win the second you must win two more in a row. You get a point by hitting it over the net in bounds and it bouncing twice. Also if the person hits out (doubles alleys in singles) or into the net and it doesn't go over. To start the point you serve it into the service box across from you.
