It has the tendency to reveal the relationship for a master and servant as well as friend to friend fellowship. After reading further in the book it will open your eyes to think about maybe something not going right for me would be because that I am not doing the right thing or making the right connection in the process. Therefore in conclusion of reading the book of Praying Life the author leads the reader to the conclusion that hope is around the corner and at the end of the tunnel. There is
...fact, it is the saving grace of mankind: the hope that God will save society and establish harmony and justice. The modern story takes the opposite view; it shows what happens when hope is lost, when society has nowhere to turn: it is a more pessimistic, more complicated view of humanity’s progress.
I believe the most important concept that I gained from reading the book was to remain faithful, in good times and in bad. Walking blindly can be very terrifying, but God always has a plan for each and every one of us. At times, the plan remains unseen, and that should not deter or slow me on the path that my heart is yearning
I can relate this book to my life in many ways; it was easier for me to relate to this book because were both 18 year old girls who want to live life the right way. Also I don’t want to live life trying to be like everyone else, so this was really encouraging to me. A part that helped me was the part about confidence and how important that is. Its important to have confidence in your faith because say you get in a situation you can protect your faith and stand up for what you believe. Another part that I can really apply to my life was how when people were talking about her she didn’t even beg to know. Personally whenever I hear that someone was talking about me, I really want to know what they said! This helped me to learn that why fill my brain with negativity sinful gossip, because that’s not what Jesus would do.
...its shows how for hundreds of years man has been faced with the same dilemma of dealing with the truth in reality. Man’s manufactured society has changed, but there have always been people craving the truth and wanting to show others the truth of reality. It is amazing to think that people ignore the truth because they don’t want to know how short life is, but it’s so cool to think that when a person steps back they can see that the same fear has spanned hundreds of years. People accept what they want and reject what they don’t like, and people’s ignorance has caused them to fail to realize that they are no different then people 1000 years ago. It is so amazing that one story can still be TRUE thousands of years later, but it makes sense because people will always find the truth to be the unsettling reality that forces people to be aware of their place in society.
The story symbolizes character’s in different way that can be interpreted to analyze. Harry Ashfield, a 5 year old kid, dies in a tragic way where his belief and faith lead him to what seemed a pointless death. His literally taking of Bevel Summers words lead him to God, where he wanted to be after living a life so empty and concerning The story represents actions and events that help us visualize what each character symbolizes, to conclude to a characters faith, belief, and weakness/strengths. Flannery O Connor helps us to connect with the story and possibly think about how are religion or beliefs affected us towards conflicts. Having personal connection is our main focus and the characters in the story may represent us or something in our lives.
It reminds us of a time not so different from where we live now, a world filled with lies, hatred, and moral ambiguity. It’s a story that largely reminds us as humans who we are, prone to mistakes and preconceptions that can lead to disastrous results, but also capable of growth and redemption. This story really allows you to understand different philosophies, perceptions, and differing opinions of morality and
This was a story about a man named Mike, and how he found God all over again. Though you may or may not believe in God himself, I believe this book would touch your heart regardless. Mike had been an upper class college student who was doing very well in his life. He had, money, an education, respect and overall he had a great life. He was considered a Christian and even attended a Christian collage. He had grown up in the church, and was what most people viewed as the perfect American citizen. Yet one day, while attending a church service themed of being the kind of person you say you are, he began to question himself. Was he actually being the person he said he was? Or was he just going on with life, and only focusing on what makes him happy? Is being a “good” Christian simply mean to go to a church and listen? To invest your money into different “Christian” organizations and to judge those that are different from you? Or is being the Cristian you say you are, mean to help out the people that we all ignore, and to actually rely on God, as opposed to going to him when you've ran out of choices? Those are just few of many things that Mike had began to question about his life.
I cannot exactly say what happened, as a theme, in this book because the theme keeps changing, but what I think the author was trying to do was simplify the important facts in the bible so people who don’t understand all of the “thee’s” and “thou’s” will be able to have a better understanding of what it has to offer. In chapter ten, there’s a section called “change the world.” One thing in this section that stuck out in my mind was this, “Charity is like a lever. You can move a large heavy abject with a lever. But you also need a fulcrum. That’s the gospel. The foundation. You need them both. With both, you can move the hearts of men, If the Holy Spirit blesses your efforts. You can move even the world. You can usher in peace that surpasses all understanding.” Faith is the evidence of things unseen. (Hebrews 11:1) this verse was used in a section called “faith and victory.” It brings to mind words said by a man named Billy Grahm. He said, “Have you ever seen God? I’ve never seen the wind. I see the effects of the wind but I’ve never seen the wind.” Our faith is in a constant battle with the world. Neither winning nor losing. Some may fall, others may become martyrs but we are constantly getting “reinforcements” from the side we’re fighting against. They are the people who realize that our faith in God is stronger than anything the world can throw at us.
Folklore speculation states that the hymn “Rock of Ages” was allegedly written following a sudden and severe thunderstorm, that the author, Augustus Montague Toplady witnessed while being forced to take shelter under a rocky cliff. Although this composition was completed in 1776, it remains to be a source of inspiration for a multitude of people today. Salvation is the prime ingredient to this poetically constructed song, Toplady systematically captures biblical translations that masterfully support his concepts. The message he artistically conveys is simple, without God, more importantly, without the sacrifice of Christ Jesus, the human soul cannot be salvaged. Therefore, only by the grace of God can we enter freely
From the displays of power that have been shown through out this essay, we see that this story is a story about power. Power is the story is primarily about peoples need for some small amount of power to survive in life and to feel that hey have a purpose within their society which every society it may be whether its is Gilead or Nazi Germany or modern day Britain.
At first it is seen as a story about man and the evils he can do, yet

After using God as his scapegoat, the narrator shifts his thought to believe that he was chosen by God because he is special. As the narrator walks down the town of Christiania, his delusion starts to take toll on him and he drift into his moment with God.
To be effective, our prayer must coincide in principle with the work of sowing and reaping:
... Still, we may have a higher chance of surviving tomorrow if a person willingly guides us and directs us through the dark path. We all have a duty to help others in need. When a person helps another in need, the receiver often returns the favor by willingly donating their help and support to others. Thus, the cycle of fortunate events continues on and on. The flickering light can become lasting if one person choses to serve humanity as a warrior for human righteousness.
