The following day, I overheard Maggie discussing an estate sale in George’s neighborhood, so I tagged along. I intended to make Alyx aware of my presence when we arrived at the estate sale, but once there, I changed my mind and slipped out of the car unnoticed when Maggie opened her door. Alyx was on to what she called my tricks, and I quickly slid under the truck waiting for them to go in before I went my separate way. A few feet away, Alyx stopped and turned full circle, but didn’t see me. I waited for them to go inside.
