Allegiant
Beatrice Prior is one of the two main characters in this book. She is described as daunting and brave. Tris (her nickname) has brown hair and is described as beautiful (from Tobias’ point of view.) She is very curious and usually looks at the glass half full. Her nickname, Six, is based on the fact that she only has 6 fears. She has a boyfriend, Tobias, who goes by ‘Four’ for the exact same reason. Tris is a Divergent, which we learn in the book, means she has healed genes. Her brother, Caleb, betrayed her and her family, and now that he is back in her life, she is not so sure about him. “...so that he can’t poison it like he’s done to everything else.’’ (36%). That is just a brief explanation of Tris Prior.
The main idea of Allegaint is that we have to learn to accept each others differences. In the beginning of the book, the main characters just thought that there was Divergent and non Divergent. When they got out of their city (Chicago) they learned that there was just GP (Genetically Pure people) and GD (Genetically Damaged people). Tris found out that she was GP, but her friends were all GD. There was a conflict outside of the experiments (Cities like where Tris grew up) about treating the GD’s differently than the GP’s. In the end of the book, Tris and her friends set things straight about treating GP’s and GD’s differently.
This book is first person, although it is a little different that most books. Instead of there being only one person telling the story, it is two people. Tris and Four. The two switch point of view almost every other chapter. Even though there are two people telling the story, it is still in first person. This next quote is from chapter 34 and Tris is speaking. ““I didn’t know you would be ...

The whole book is written as a first person narrative except for one short part that Rahim Khan is narrating. The book is told in first person by the main character Amir. The example shows that the story is told in first person because the author uses the word “I” and explains what Amir is thinking in his own mind which can only be done in first person narrative.
This book is written in first-person point of view, which I personally like, because it’s a very touching story and you get to see all of the feelings firsthand. I also like first-person point of view because it’s not like the author is a narrator explaining everything that’s going on. It is a character in the story, and you don’t think of it as an author, you think of it as Luna, and it’s a very believable character.
In Pat Conroy’s, The Lords of Disciple, first person narration is used to develop the story. Seth Reilly, a writer and fiction author, talks about what first person narration is. Reilly states in his article for aspiring novelists, “First-person perspective is writing from the point of view of your narrator, putting across the world as they see it” (Reilly). While first person narration puts the reader in the narrator’s head, this point of view has multiple advantages and disadvantages. When talking about the advantages of first person narration Reilly states, “first person can effectively communicate how each moment feels; delivering sight, sound, smell, taste, and touch, all through the prism of your narrator” (Reilly). This is one of the

Webster defines friendship as the emotions or conduct of friends; the state of being friends. Growing up you realize that every relationship is tested throughout time and some make it through that time and others do not.
By definition a friend is a person who provides assistance and support. We have different groups of friends for different purposes in our lives. Although there are many different categories of friends, Marion Winik author of “What are Friends For?” mentions that some of the more common groups consist of the faraway, work, family, and former friends (132). We keep our friends because we value their loyalty, communication, support, and dependability.
The story is told in the first person voice. The narrator is talking to one particular person; He refers to this character in the second person voice. “This is your

I would define friendship as complete trust and love between two people. Many people believe that this kind of behavior is reciprocated between two individuals without any expectations. A friend is someone who also provides you with support and whom you can rely on to celebrate special moments with. A friend also comes with many great attributes; such as loyalty, honesty, compassion, trust, and morality. Today’s friend is viewed as someone who shares happiness, common values, history, and equality with another. For example, Aristotle and Cicero both wrote dialogues about friendship and its significance on mankind. Therefore, the key issues that will be discussed are: their views on the similarities of friendship, the differences between friends,
Having this written in the first person allows the audience to have a more understanding. It also makes the reader feel like they are in the book. Although if this book were to be written in the third person the text would carry on forever and you also would not understand to its full potential.
In both The Hunger Games and Divergent there are female protagonists,in The Hunger Games’s it is Katniss Everdeen and in Divergent it is Tris Prior. These two heroines have both similar and different qualities such as: their physical looks, where they live, their families, whom they trust, and who they end up falling in love with. Tris and Katniss both also go through extremely difficult events, but these events turn both of them into stronger, wiser, and more individualistic young women.
The author speaks in first person as she is Caroline, she wants to tell the real story of what happened. For example, Martha Hall Kelly states, “ I do feel like something inhabited me the day I stepped into the lovely Bellamy- Ferriday House. Caroline? The Rabbits? Whoever they were, they led me on an incredible journey, through Poland, Germany and France to find the truth about this story. Perhaps all of those brace women, almost seventy years after WWII, wanted their story told”. Martha Kelly wants the real story to be told about history she wants nothing but the truth. She took in her ideas from the inside of Caroline’s house she felt like this was a story that needed to be heard.

According to Papalia (2009), this relationship known as fictive kin. Fictive kin used to describe individuals that is not related by birth or marital statuses but have a significant emotional connection with that other individual and it would develop the characteristics of a family relationship.
During her attempts to protect the Divergents, Tris' brother betrays her and those close to her. When he chooses Jeanine over her, a switch flips in her mind and heart. Seeing him in a new light, she becomes aware that he is no longer a wise choice of associate. As hard as it may be for her, Tris cuts ties with Caleb because of his disloyalty. This action makes it clear that Tris values loyalty and honor and is not afraid to hurt feelings if necessary.
