There were loud sounds coming from the window and then looking closely BAM! there it was a strike of lighting and everyone was in fear. There were thunderstorms,tornadoes, and a hurricane in the same day. You may ask yourself this question where does this happen? It happens on the planet Venus. In the story “All Summer In A Day” shows us as readers how people can wait and be calm about waiting for the sun.
The sun never came out for 7 years straight and it has been raining, thunderstorms, and tornadoes for 7 years on the planet Venus. In the classroom only 1 person remembers the sun and that is Morgot because she lived on earth and she remembers how it looks and feels like when around the sun. Everything around became beautiful because of the sun and how it changed her life around.
Finally the sun was going down slower and slower and everyone was think to themselves what is happening. “A few cold drops fell on their noses and their checks and their mouths . The sun faded behind a stir of mist. A wind blew cold around them¨ (4). It was raining again and people were crying and becoming sad about themselves and didn't know what to do. Then here it came BAM!. It came back the thunderstorms,tornadoes, and the huge hurricane. Everyone was very disappointed what they did to Morgot and how they treated her as she was just being herself and never spoke up for herself. “Behind the closet door was only silence. They unclosed the door,even slowly, and let Morgot out¨(4). Finally, they stood there in sadness and didn't know what to do but say sorry. Morgot was silence the whole time and scared and didn't know what to do in her life while she was living on
As a result, she wanted to provide a better and memorable childhood for her children by educating them in a better way. For instance, by showing and transmit them love and at the same time doing so with other people and animals. That animals are not just an object or an insignificant life but to treat them as part of the family. She wanted to show them those principles by not having a repetitive cycle about her own experiences as a child.
