Brothers and Sister in Christ, Thirty-seven weeks. All Saints’ Episcopal Church has been without a priest for thirty-seven weeks and in this diminutive amount of time, worship at all Saints’ has never faltered. In the past thirty-seven weeks, we have listened intently to some of the best supply priests in our region, been exposed to various organists through music and singing, parish events have continued with enthusiastic turnout, our services are filled with planned liturgy and celebration, but most importantly, ALL of these traditions will continue as usual. All Saints’ still persists. We still thrive.
How has All Saints’ in the past thirty-seven weeks moved you? Lifted your spirit? Was it a thought-provoking sermon? Inspirational music? Amiable parishioners in lectionary class with spirited

First of all, I just want to say that I am so grateful to be a disciple; I am grateful that my wife and I are a part of Gods great kingdom now. It’s been two years since my wife and I got baptized, and since then, God has done so many great things in our lives.
Gregory’s Episcopal Church. She had said that she became overwhelmed by the realization of God and that He became very real to her. Miles also talks about how unbalanced and emotional she was, and didn’t know how to handle herself, but continually came back for more (Miles, 58-59). I love hearing Sara talk about taking communion for the first time because it seems so beautiful, how Jesus was able to move through her and come to life inside of her. There have been a couple of times when I would go on retreats and mission trips and take communion in a more meaningful way because of the people I had become close to and had gotten to know on those trips would be with me. When I am take communion at the First United Methodist Church on a regular Sunday though, it can almost become just a regular thing you do at church without really remembering its sacredness. I still feel it is important, but because I’ve been doing it all my life and I think it is easy to forget all the things tied to it. Overall I feel as though this book has made me explore different ways of being a part of a community and enabled me to see that God works through all of us whether we believe it or not. It’s also extremely refreshing to see Sara’s excitement for her newfound faith and how she deals with the problems thrown at her. In Sara’s case I think God made the impossible possible. This story is an
Saint Christopher, the patron saint of travelers and children, is one of the most popular yet mysterious saints of the Catholic Church. Though considered a saint. Saint Christopher is not in the official canon of the saints, and not much is really known about him. It is theorized that Saint Christopher was actually a martyr named Reprobus who was beheaded in the third century.

The focus of this book is Sacred Heart of Jesus Church and Parish in Montegut, Louisiana, and the outline of the book follows the tenure of each priest. However, I could not write about Sacred Heart without writing about Montegut, Bourg, and Little Caillou. The book follows the church parish boundaries and as each new parish is created, the focus remains with the priest of Sacred Heart.
After seeing though the eyes of my pastor I’ve come to realize the importance of faith and committing to one’s beliefs. Returning to church after two massive losses has helped my mother in many ways and it has also taught me as a young man how small things that I could do would turn to have a big impact on someone’s life the same way my pastor impacted my life and the life of my siblings.
From its re-founding in 1880, St. Mark’s embarked on a journey of spiritual and numeric growth. In chronicling events one tends to assign an accomplishment to the individual in charge at the moment of completion, but St. Mark’s was blessed to have pastors who would embrace the work of their predecessors and help bring the dream to reality. St. Mark’s was similarly blessed to have a congregation and lay leaders who demonstrated a constancy of purpose.
Not only was this a good time for the Church, but this was also a very
Churches were packed as people thronged to hear whatever words of consolation and reassurance that their pastors could provide to them. Not infrequently, however, sermons that day were notably short on consolation and reassurance, but long on warning and condemnation of sin.
Saint Lucy’s has prepared me to face a future that is ready for me to explore the unknown. The dedication of our parents and teachers at Saint Lucy’s have helped my classmates and I thrive in our abilities to perform academically and socially. It is also through our faith in Jesus Christ that has brought the eighth grade community together as one to practice and fulfill our goals as students, role models, and Catholics. Saint Lucy’s has left me with the imprint of our expectations to live by the Christian Catholic values, understand the value of integrity, communicate effectively, and yearn to be a lifelong
St. Philip’s Episcopal Church has not only been a source of faith, but an area that has given me the most satisfaction in my life. Becoming a Sunday School instructor, attending the “Safe Kids, Safe Church” Conference, and volunteering at events such as Souper Bowl Sunday and BLAST Biblical Learning Camp have all brought me immense happiness. It is with great pride that I am able to donate my time in an arena that has made such a significant contribution to my character.
This year I notice a huge growth in my spiritual life. When I attend mass in the Hispanic community I go with so much devotion. Due to the beautiful music I get to sing. When I sing with the choir if feel important in the mass. While I am signing I feel a huge devotion for God. As well it has made me appreciate being in the presence of God my savior.
Later, as I arrived at my celebration party, I saw my family beaming with pride. I looked around me, and realized that everyone here I to go to Mass with. They were my family, but they also symbolized the new Church family I gained. To this day, I practice my faith, and remember the day my life changed. I get to be seen as an adult in the Church, and it makes my service feel more
That is our cue to walk into the church and sit down. I’m amazed at the number of people there. Every single pew is filled, and there are people sitting in spare chairs in the back. We sing hymns, say prayers, and listen to speeches, but one speech stood out from the rest. Reverend Owen LAST NAME is my uncle’s best friend from elementary school. Before he even starts his speech people are crying when they realize that he and my uncle are wearing the same suits they wore to his and Stephanie’s wedding. The main message of his speech was pals, and the huge community that my aunt had built around herself. We laughed and cried, and I honestly felt moved by his
I attended Mass at my local parish, the Parish of St. Francis de Sales, on Sunday, October 9th, in order to receive the Sacrament of the Eucharist. This also happens to be the 28th Sunday of Ordinary Time because the priest of the parish, Father Phan, wore green in order to symbolize life, anticipation for the coming of Christ, and hope. The liturgical season of Ordinary Time is also significant because it focuses on the fruits of Jesus’s three-year public ministry, his educational parables, and his extraordinary miracles. The season of Ordinary Time also serves as a reminder that the Church’s mission, our mission, is to not only share the life and hope of Jesus
