It was the end of April and cheer tryouts were just around the corner. Alex and Taylor were preparing for this moment for three whole months. Taylor is a very hardworking athlete and she always makes sure her skills are absolutely perfect. She never stops practicing until she has nothing to fix. Alex on the other hand, procrastinates and she doesn’t practice until her skills are perfect. She is very sweet, understanding, and nice. Taylor and Alex are best friends even though they have complete opposite personalities. There personalities are what makes them closer. Cheer Athletics was packed all week due to so many people practicing for tryouts. Tryouts day had finally come! Alex and Taylor both did private tryouts because people watching them messes them up. One by one, heads turned until the whole cafeteria was staring at the two girls. They walked up to the tall teacher wearing heels. “What happened to you two?” the teacher questioned. The two girls looked at each other, then back up at the teacher. “Um…uh... we” stutterd Alex. “We had a small spill.” Taylor broke in. “Ok well go get yourselves cleaned up before next period.” commanded the teacher. The girls quickly nodded then rushed to the bathroom. Without saying a word to each other, they wet a paper towel and scrubbed at their shirts hoping the stains would come off. Unfortunately, it didn’t come off and there shirts remained the same. Kids were surprised that Alex would do such a thing. As for Taylor, their opinions were different. Taylor and Alex both got sent to the principal after they got cleaned up. “Why?” questioned the principal. “I don’t understand you two! One day, you girls are best friends, the next day, you turn into enemies. What is going on?” asked Mrs. Alexander. “We don’t know.” replied Alex. Taylor kept quiet. “I don’t know either, but you girls need to work it out together.” answered Mrs.
Now I wished that I could pen a letter to my school to be read at the opening assembly that would tell them how wrong we had all been. You should see Zachary Taylor, I’d say.” Lily is realizing now that beauty comes in all colors. She is also again being exposed to the fact that her way of being raised was wrong, that years and years of history was false. “The whole time we worked, I marveled at how mixed up people got when it came to love.
When I arrived at my new and enormous high school, I got lost. It was June, and since classes had just ended for the day, large crowds of kids filled up the hallways, and I got bumped around like I did not exist. Thankfully, a cheerleader saw me and figured that I had come there for tryouts since I wore shorts, cheer shoes and a big bow in my hair. She took me to the gym where at least sixty girls had shown up for the competition. The first things I saw were cheerleaders doing high level tumbling on the gym floor with no fear. The upperclassmen led us in warm-ups, and they seemed nice. A lot of the girls I met had been cheering since they were five and six years old. I saw a lot of talent in the room, so I knew it would not be easy to
Ever experienced cheer camp a famous college? Surround by its famous color orange and blue? Well, I did! A tremendous amount of people have their different ideas an exciting experience in their life. Although out of all of the exciting experiences I’ve ever experienced , I would have to say my favorite is when I visited The University of Florida for cheer camp my sophomore year. I was overly excited about spending four days at The University of Florida; I stayed up all night the night before packing and getting ready to finally stay at a college for four days with my fellow cheer sisters. From that experience I learned a lot about sticking together as a team, and friendship! But, most importantly, I learned that bonding together as a team is what got us to finish strong at the end. Those four days really opened my eyes to a lot of different things and I’m glad I can say that I really enjoyed myself.
These kids have nothing in common, and they have an aggressive desire not to have anything in common. In ways peculiar to teenagers, who sometimes have a studious disinterest in anything that contradicts their self-image, these kids aren't even curious about each other. Not at first, anyway. But then the day grows longer and the library grows more oppressive, and finally the tough kid can't resist picking on the prom queen, and then there is a series of exchanges.
When I walked in Ms. Shannon’s class I introduced myself and told the kids to pretend I wasn’t in the class. I sat in the back an...
What if you were sitting on a bench with your friend and you’re just about to find out if you made the basketball team. Your coach comes to tell you that you made the team! You are really happy and ecstatic! But then you hear the coach tell your friend that they didn't make the team. She’s crushed and starts to cry. Are sports tryouts necessary? Sports tryouts are necessary because it shows kids how to be fair. Also it encourages kids to work harder and practice more so they can tryout next year or be a great player. But if kids do make the team it makes kids excited and want to train harder to be the best. To add on if coaches keep every kid who tries out then the team would be overcrowded with kids and not everyone will play. Sports tryouts can also improve your attitude and they are a great way to show your personality.
A group of girls snuck off one night into the woods one night. They danced around a fire and a pot of things they brought. Some were naked when dancing Abigail William’s uncle catches them and they run off. The next morning one of the girls Betty is found ill and won't wake up.Tituba walked into the room to see if betty is going
The final straw was when Janice walked into the school and found her son sitting in the school reception area with his older sister, while the rest of the students enjoyed a nice Christmas party. Janice said her son was clearly not wanted at that school, so she took the kids’ stuff and enrolled them into a public school where Alex was would be much more comfortable. The teachers were more comfortable dealing with children with complex needs.
“Well, your kids are banging their fists on the walls and setting a bad example for my kids!” he angrily shouted with a crimson face. “You’d better get over there quick and settle them down or I’m gonna’ call the cops!” “Look,” I calmly replied, “I’ve been assigned to this group of sixty students. Our school has five very capable chaperones already over there to deal with that problem.”
The two of them neglected to even go back and get the water and decided just to take the long walk back to the classroom. Neither of them said a word to each other, because they were too embarrassed and upset at what had just happened. The two of them finally arrived back at the classroom all dirty and with no water. The teacher just shook her head and told them they still had 5 minutes of nap time. The two quietly went and slept for the rest of the day, because they were so exhausted from their adventure. Also, the teacher knowing it would be much easier to deal with the class when those two weren’t constantly yelling at each other allowed them to stay asleep.
Summer has come to an end and school back in full swing. One is ready to crush the challenges facing a 5th grader. The last bell for recess sounds. Young boys race outside to enjoy the sun’s warmth. Name calling and horse-playing around immediately begins as they plan their weekend fun. Challenging each other to execute silly acts or daring one another to flirt with the girls across the playground. One yells out if you don’t jump from the top you are a sissy. Then one hears ask Julie out first. Recess is almost over when another one yells out he won’t…he’s a gay sissy. Silence has now blanketed the playground and one could hear a pin drop. Saved by the bell it was time to line up and head back to class. The final bell of the day
Being the girl always being thrown in the air wasn’t always effortless, putting forth the time and energy in order to make sure I hit everything perfect was definitely a challenge. With being a team we had to help each other out through the exhausting and hard times. Our couch became a father figure, my teammates turned into my family, and the cheer moms were the shoulder to cry on regarding the stressful spans. I am fully aware that stress comes with every sport however, this is a team filled with many dramatic girls that are performing the most dangerous sport in the world. Bonding with my cheer friends somehow improved our relationship on the matt, we spent several nights by a campfire, jamming to music, and being silly. Having lifelong true friends to achieve your goals with is an unexplainable feeling that comes with this
...e greatest prank in our school’s history. And she stopped Mrs. DeCostia from stealing from Mrs. Redrik” Then he took my hand and led me down the hall, past all of my friends, to the stairs. I stopped. “What was that for?” “I was just giving credit where credit was due.” He slipped his hand into his pocket and pulled out a rather large ring. “You knew the whole time?!?” “Yeah when we and Matt moved the desk it fell out and I picked it up, I was waiting to give it back until DeCostia got busted.” “Oh my god…” “Anyway, what are we doing tonight? Movies, ice-cream, maybe some pizza?” “We’re hanging out tonight?” “Yeah I have to hang out with my girlfriend to celebrate the undermining of our psycho home wrecking teacher.” “Your girlfriend?” “Yeah...” He said into my hair as he put his hands around my waist and pulled me closer to him “Who else would I hang with tonight?”
