The pros and cons of an alcoholic beverage at lunch.
Many times you may see on TV or different places around the world where the consumption of an alcoholic beverage at lunch is either accepted or frowned upon. Many times I've wondered why not be able to have at least one alcoholic drink at lunch. Depending on religion, culture, type of work, local laws, and health reasons there are different views and reasons of why or why not to have an alcoholic drink at lunch during your work day. Defining Alcoholic beverages in this case to include wines, beers, and spirits. In this we will look at the pros and cons and situations where an alcoholic drink is permitted or prohibited.
You see it frequently on TV for business lunches, and we know this is very common on the east coast and sometimes even west coast. People have a more casual one hour lunch. They sit and have a drink with their lunch. And it has alcohol in it! (Gasp). Now this is not your typical guzzling beer after beer after beer have a drink. But simply one alcoholic beverage in moderation to relax and ease the tension the situation whether it be a lunch to get away from work or a casual business lunch with a client.

Many professions that depend on critical thinking or fine motor skills (i.e. the Neurosurgeon) it is required to be completely free of alcohol during work hours. Quite often it is found out by the employers from either other people or seeing them or even the use of detectives if they are skeptic of their employee.
