Alcohol, also known as the party juice, There is a lot of debate going on about alcohol and what the drinking age in the U.S. should be. The U.S. is the only country in the world that has the drinking age being twenty-one as to everywhere else, for example in Europe, where it is eighteen. Even though a lot of people want the drinking age to be lowered to eighteen so they could purchase the alcohol legally, it’s sadly not going to happen. I am neutral in the debate since I see just as many pros as I see cons. Alcohol could have a huge impact on your life if you don’t limit yourself. Even though it is great at parties and social gatherings to make the atmosphere a little better, it could be really harmful if used excessively. I plan to cover the different approached people have towards it and how it affects people’s daily life. I was twelve when I had moved here and I had older cousins which were of the legal... ... middle of paper ... ...ve today due to lower death rates caused by the higher drinking age. Alcohol works terrible things on your mind and the people around you. Statistics have shown that Alcohol is the leading cause of murders and rape in the U.S. Alcohol is the worst thing that can happen to a family, alcoholism is also a huge contributor to divorce. Kids of alcoholics have a hard life growing up, they feel like they don’t have a complete family and like they don’t receive as much love and attention as they should even though sometimes it work out for them a lot of times it doesn’t. Even though there is no limit as to how much alcohol an individual can buy and consume in their own time, I think that everybody should have their own limit and if they do decide to drink, to stay at home or at another safe place without going out anywhere and putting themselves and others in any danger.
