Akira's POV
I woke up and Chiyo hugged me and then went into a long talk about everything that happened after I passed out. As she did this, I went and changed into my uniform. After I changed we walked to class. "And you were right about her alice! Sometime I wonder how you're so smart!" I looked at her and she smiled. We walked into class. Everyone looked at me as I sat down. I looked out the window before standing up and walking out the doors. I quickly walked to the field and opened my hand and alice activated. Electricity currents covered me and I smiled before closing my hand cutting it off. I heard clapping and quickly looked behind me to see Natsume. He looked at me and walked over and looked at me. He spoke, "Are you limited?"

He walked towards his seat. He told Narumi to shut up and a shock went on his mask. I looked over at the mask as Narumi looked at me, "Akira, I have something for you by the way!" He skipped over to my desk and put a bracelet on the desk. I looked at the bright pink bracelet and than at Narumi before picking it up and electrifying it. Everyone gasped as the bracelet destroyed itself. Narumi sweat-dropped when I looked at him and tossed the bracelet into his open hands. Chiyo was giggling like an idiot and spoke, "Those don't really work on her!" I opened my bag and grabbed my book and started reading. He went to the front of the class again and clapped to stop all the whispering going on, "And lastly, because Chiyo, Mikan, and Akira are new. They need someone to teach them about the school, so I'd like them to have partners. Would anyone want to volunteer?" No one raised their hands and I just sat glaring at Narumi. "Then I'll chose for them...Chiyo you're with Anna Umenomiya, Mikan you're with Ruka Nogi, and Akira~ you're with Natsume Hyuga!" I pulled out my book and started reading, but not before letting Iris come out and blast Narumi. Everyone looked at Iris as she flew around the class as I read. I heard Chiyo laughing and snapped my finger and Iris disappeared. Chiyo gasped and started pouting. I ignored everyone the entire class as I …show more content…
They spoke, "You have two alices?!" I looked at them and they continued, "Water and Light Manipulation right?" I nodded once before walking away. I sat in the second to last desk as Jinno wrote on the board. I read the entire class until Jinno told Mikan her star rank was zero. He looked at Chiyo and I and spoke, "As for you two, your star ranks were decided by the ESP." I froze and looked up at that, 'The ESP...hell.' He walked over and gave Chiyo a envelope and gave me one as well. I glared at it with distaste and put it in my bag. He left class and I got up and walked out. I sat under a tree and pulled out the letter. I opened it and a special star fluttered down onto my lap. I picked it up and shoved it into my bag. I read the letter and ripped it into small pieces before throwing it
The Hero’s Journey is a basic template utilized by writers everywhere. Joseph Campbell, an American scholar, analyzed an abundance of myths and literature and decided that almost all of them followed a template that has around twelve steps. He would call these steps the Hero’s Journey. The steps to the Hero’s Journey are a hero is born into ordinary circumstances, call to adventure/action, refusal of call, a push to go on the journey, aid by mentor, a crossing of the threshold, the hero is tested, defeat of a villain, possible prize, hero goes home. The Hero’s Journey is more or less the same journey every time. It is a circular pattern used in stories or myths.
I closed my eyes and that for sure I was dead but when I opened them the warning lights were on and thens were fading in and out. I quickly went and started rebooting the systems till they were all done. I look up to see the animatronic in front of me looking through the glass and thought I was dead.I didn’t dare take the chance to put up the camera in case it took it as a chance to get me. Then all of a sudden 6 a.m struck and it started walking away. Then I left for
For the third time today, everyone in the classroom was in a standstill. Eventually, I was greeted with eighteen pair of eyes, which appeared to say, ‘who in the hell do you think you are talking to her like that?’ heck, you would’ve thought I called the girl out of her name with the dirty stares I was receiving.

Singing loudly and out of tune, a rude awakening to Jotaro who was still enjoying a dream he was going to write out later. Walking from his room, grogy in pajama pants alone, Jotaro found Joseph in the kitchen, making breakfast. He can see it was a simple breakfast; just bacon, eggs and toast. Jotaro stood in the doorway to the kitchen, watching Joseph sing dramatically as he made a face on a plate with the food.
Although Katsumoto had essentially become the “man” of the household as he resided with Taka and her children, he would not have been permitted to instruct Taka to heal Algren as, “If her husband died she would then have to listen to her son.” (Source 14). The film depicted the life of a female Samurai to have been far more liberal than it was in actuality. In fact, men were ranked far higher than women were in the social hierarchy from as far back as the 1600s (Source 13). Therefore, the film was incorrect in assuming that Taka would have expressed her fondness of Algren openly because in reality, she would have been severely punished for her betrayal on behalf of the Samurai people (Source 14). The plight of Japanese women was far deeper than simply following orders, and in this way, the film conveys untrue information about the conditions of women in Japan. The film also failed to acknowledge the fact that women were not permitted to obtain an education and were essentially “Slaves to their husbands.” (Source 13). In this way, the film The Last Samurai is inaccurate.
Zaina was observed in her classroom at the Pre-K Center on Washington Street in Newburgh. There were 18 children in attendance along with one teacher and her assistant. The children were seated in a circle on a rug when the observation began. Zaina was sitting quietly with her legs crossed. The teacher asked the children to identify 3-4 letters of the alphabet. The children called out the letter Z, and the teacher asked whose name started with a Z. Zaina raised her hand. She then stood up and placed her name on the job of “Line Leader.” She quickly went back and sat on the rug. The teacher then asked the class to stand up for the Pledge of Allegiance. Zaina quickly stood up and joined in by reciting the pledge, but about half way through, she started to
We arrived back at the lodge, and the other people there were shocked, not only at the elk, but also what had happened to my dear friend. That night, I had nightmares about what had happened. The sound of Sergei screaming in pain rang in my head, the bear’s growl rang in my head as well. I woke up at 5:30am, and went to make a cup of coffee. Yuri, came downstairs to join me. As we got coffee, we sat down in the lobby, I started to get
I felt like I had magical human powers. I could read other emotions and body language! And sadly, it made me feel things. That's another thing. I had to stop using the words like two-legged. Mary taught me to do that. He's a nice guy. He told me that the leader, or boss, was supposed to come in from the door to my left, and sit in the big chair at the head of the table. I'm glad I didn't sit there. Ok, here he comes. He's going to tell me to present. I don't have my notes, oh crap. Wait, is that...
Spirited Away was a global hit and the first anime to win the Best Animated Feature Award at the Academy Awards. As a result, it must have universal themes that people from around the world can relate to. One of the major universal themes within Spirited Away is that it is a coming-of-age story focusing on a young girl becoming her own brave and independent person. Chihiro starts the film as a nervous and slightly annoying young girl who is told what to do by everyone and lacks confidence in her actions. However, after her parents are turned into pigs and she is employed at the bathhouse, she must take the initiative to save herself and the people that she cares about. Throughout the movie, she grows into a person who takes risks and saves her family and Haku, something that would have been unimaginable at the beginning of the film. The coming-of-age theme is popular across all cultures, such as the British Harry Potter series and the recent Disney hit, Moana, and is something all can relate to because everyone must grow up.
“Whatever our struggles and triumphs, however we may suffer them, all too soon they bleed into a wash, just like watery ink on paper” (Golden pg.428). The novel, Memoirs of a Geisha, by Arthur Golden, is about a world where deception is prominent, where the main character Sayuri faces many hardships before she is able to achieve success as a Geisha. This is shown through multiple events in the novel such as, Mr. Tanaka selling Sayuri into slavery, which leads to something better as she finds love and eventually benefits from the betrayal. This is also shown through Hatsumomo, as her constant deception throughout the novel leads to Sayuri becoming the most popular geisha in Gion, eventually rendering Hatsumomo powerless, and through the betrayal
“Yawwn!” I stretched his arms and tried to pull myself up. Only I couldn’t, “hmmmm,” I said out loud to myself. “It seems as if I can move from side to side but not up. I wonder if I can move downwards.” I turned and saw that I was on the floor, but I wasn’t on the floor of my house. I was on something that looked like silver dust. I found something next to me that looked like a Fitbit tm. I picked it up (or across) there was a sticky note on it that said. “Hello, newcomer if you are here that means that you have gotten here correctly. Press the button to create a gravity sphere.” I looked at the Fitbit-like thing and pressed the button. I realized that I was able to get up again. I saw that the note said bubble so I took it

It's the wee hours of Saturday morning in a quiet all female low-rise dorm room at NDSU. Residents are either sleeping soundly or out having a good time some place off campus. But in one dorm room a social gathering is in full swing. I'm not talking about a swing dance either. As I walk down my motel-looking dorm hallway, I hear a male's voice with a sharp and harsh intonation. I pause in front of the door for a second, my curiosity piqued. There is silence for a moment and then I hear the voice again and I realize it's not English, but Japanese. I proceed down the hall, shuffling in my slippers, not wanting to be an eavesdropper. On my return I hear a loud electric razor coming from the same room. Again I pause in front of the wooden door, brightly decorated with two nametags, Yoko and Michelle, made by the creative RAs of our dorm (All names are pseudonyms). What's going on in there, I wonder. I see Yoko weekly at the International Student Association meeting, but only know that she's from Japan and is here to learn English.
