“There are about 2 million premature deaths caused each year due to air pollution in cities across the world” (Air Pollution). Every day the average person inhales about 20,000 liters of contaminated air, Such as carbon dioxide and smog (Brimblecombe). These pollutants are released throughout the world’s atmosphere in concentrations that are high enough to cause health problems, which leads to one of the main problems today, and that would be air pollution (Socha). The main cause of air pollution is all of the toxic chemicals that are being released into the air such as cars emitting carbon, to the methane that comes from gas that is emitted by livestock such as cows (Air Pollution). Therefore air pollution is affecting the health of human beings, as well as doing harm to the natural ecosystems.
What is air pollution? It basically is all of the contaminants that are in the air because of smog, carbon dioxide, sulfur dioxide, monoxide, and all of these contaminants come from major pollutants. Air pollution is a big problem. In a questionnaire I asked twenty people if they thought that it is a big problem and all twenty responded with yes, that they do believe it’s a big problem (Chan). Air pollution can be solved from making or causing a greater damage in the near future. Cars and industries are the major components of air pollution because of all the carbon that they release into the air. As every day goes by we are inhaling all of this bad air, and it is slowly affecting all of us. Something should be done to solve this problem.
Have you ever looked up into the stars and see the stars twinkle? One summer I went to a camp that is out in the mountains of Los Angeles. On our last night there we went and laid in the soccer fi...

”(Geduld) Although most of these deaths are from long term exposure to the pollutants there was still “2,682 deaths caused from short term exposure. ”(Geduld).“5.5 percent of cardiopulmonary (heart and lung disease related) deaths can be attributed to ground-level ozone exposure, which has increased over the past decade.” (David Suzuki Foundation) There were also “92’000 emergency-room visits and 620,000 visits to a doctor’s office in a year” It is estimated that by “2031 90,000 people will have died from short term exposure and 710,000 from long-term exposure to air pollution.
In an era of rising technology and increasing population, demands on the environment are continually being pushed to new levels. As a result, it becomes important for us to expand our knowledge about the environment and take appropriate actions to protect this element of most importance to human existence. One component of our environment experiencing some of the greatest abuse due to humans is the air. Air pollution has been on the rise ever since the beginning of industrialization. The climbing number of factories and use of cars worldwide are the major culprits of this environmental hazard. There are various gases released into the air that can be considered air pollutants, but one of the most prevalent and dangerous to the environment is carbon dioxide (CO2). Up to 95% of the CO2 produced is the result of natural processes (Burnett & Matthews Jr., 1998). The rest is a direct result of human activity, primarily through the burning of fossil fuels in the production of energy
Failure to maintain clean air standards is attributed to the increased health cases of cancer and pulmonary related diseases. In addition, there is the effect of acidic rain which poisons the plants consumed that also has health effects. The financial burden is borne by health insurance and other costs in fighting the effects.

Today, our environment faces air pollution; however, some of us are still not aware of it. It is a serious matter because it is all around us, and it causes harm to every single one of us; it might not be as evident in certain areas as others, but it is still present and affecting us in numerous ways. Air pollution, as defined by the World Health Organization (WHO), is the contamination of the indoor or outdoor environment by any chemical, physical or biological agent that modifies the natural characteristics of the atmosphere (as cited in WHO, n.d.). In other words, air pollution is contaminated or dirty air. Furthermore, in the new estimates available, the WHO reports that 1 in
Until 10 years ago, air pollution was thought to be just an urban or local problem until it was discovered that the pollutants could move across continents and oceans. Air pollution is the fundamental factor that causes greenhouse gases, hence climate change and global warming. Air pollutants are the waste products generated from industrial and other processes. They usually come in gases, though aerosols (particles suspended in air, emitted as or formed by transformatio...
Air pollution is caused by many things such as car fumes, burning of fossil fuels,
Air pollution according to the Wikipedia << is the introduction of particulates, biological materials, or other harmful materials into the Earth’s atmosphere, possibly causing disease, death to humans, damage to other living organisms such as food crops, or the natural or built environment>>. Therefore, human being should be aware of the facts that the environment and all living creatures are dying. They need to understand the importance of natural items, the nature, etc…
There is a lot more awareness of air pollution in the world today than any other as a lot of it is visible. Air pollution can be thought of any substance that people introduce into the atmosphere that has damaging effects on living things and the environment (National Geographic). Carbon dioxide released into the air breaking down the ozone layer slowly warming the earth, I’m sure you’ve heard this before but it’s the process known as global warming. These green house gases come from the fumes of cars, factories and peoples homes every second that passes. The activities of the people on earth have raised the temperature of the planet to higher than it has ever been in the last 150 years. (National
Air Pollution is when a poisonous or a harmful substance is released in the air. There are many form of pollution but air is one of them, it only occurs when dust, harmful gases or smoke enters into the atmosphere and makes it hard for species like plants, animals and humans to live in a difficult situation because of the dirty air.Air Pollution is classified in two sections, invisible air pollution and visible air pollution.. Hence any substance that makes it difficult for the living things that need the atmosphere is air pollution.Humans have been undergoing air pollution ever since the industrial revolution. In order to understand the causes of Air pollution, it is divided into divisions. Primary air pollutants and secondary air pollutants:
In fact, air pollution is a common problem in developed countries, there are many high concentration of small particulates that affect the health of citizens in daily life. At the same time, it causes death, disease and disability if people are living there for long-term. The survey by the WHO (2012) has mentioned that there was 25 percent of death in developed countries because of poor air quality. As a result, the air quality is also an element that causes lower health

Efforts to improve the standard of living for humans--through the control of nature and the development of new products--have also resulted in the pollution, or contamination, of the environment. Much of the world's air, water, and land is now partially poisoned by chemical wastes. Some places have become uninhabitable. This pollution exposes people all around the globe to new risks from disease. Many species of plants and animals have become endangered or are now extinct. As a result of these developments, governments have passed laws to limit or reverse the threat of environmental pollution.
Every other day a new industries are being set up, new vehicles on roads and trees are being cut to make way for new homes. All of them, indirect way lead to increase in CO2 leads to melting of polar ice caps which increase the sea level and pose danger for the people living near coastal areas. Pollution can have an impact in our health not only affects people with impaired respiratory system such as asthmatics, but very healthy adults and children too. Exposure to pollution for 6 to 7 hours, even at relatively low concentrations, reduces lung function and induces respiratory inflammation and, healthy people during periods of moderate
