How does one define the American Dream? The American Dream & its ability to be achieved depends on the dreamer & his or her perspective. “Don’t Take My Air Jordans,” “Let America Be America Again,” and “Outside” all show different perspectives of the American Dream. The idea of the American Dream all depends on perspective.

...er Jason Taylor “Team Jordan is something I wanted to do my whole career. Michael exemplifies everything that I think an athlete should be. The desire the competitiveness, everything about the man says winner and that’s what I’m about.” The hard work and desire Jordan put forth in order to achieve his dreams is well documented, and he has used this as the main focus in advertising his clothing line. By using other sports superstars who have achieved great things, he has been able to capture the attention of the sporting world. Once you put on the shoes and the clothing, you will begin to expect great things out of yourself. These goals come only after dedication and effort. Showing the work ethic of other great athletes and the thoughts that motivate them, Jumpan23 has successfully captured the idea of its clothing line. One has to look no further than the miniature symbol of a man flying through the air in order to imagine the possibilities and see what makes this advertisement so appealing.
It’s one of the greatest debates right now in modern time sports. Who is the greatest basketball player ever? Is it His Airness, or is it King James? The debate on whether Michael Jordan or LeBron James is the greatest basketball player ever is a prevalent topic in sports news daily. Many people believe that LeBron James is the greatest basketball player to be currently playing and also the greatest player to ever have played in the NBA. My theory, however, is that rather than LeBron James, the greatest basketball player to ever have played the game is Michael Jordan. Although I agree with the claim that LeBron James is the best current player in the NBA, I believe that he is nowhere near being considered better than Michael Jordan.
I myself am the owner of two pairs of Jordan shoes, which I consider to be my favorite shoes, although I certainly realize that Jordan's merchandise is way too expensive and I along with the rest of the basketball fanatics am being suckered in to paying large sums of money for an image. Ever since I started my journey as a basketball player, Michael Jordan has been an idol and a role model for me to follow in my quest to reach my own goals as an athlete. I have devoured all the information about this man I could possibly attain and have been inspired by his life as a basketball player as well as a role model off the court. Many people characterize Michael Jordan as a typical athlete, who was successful within his sport, but because of his personal flaws and his self-destructive competitiveness never managed to exceed the level of other very competent and well known athle...

Michael always wanted to be a professional athlete. Once when he was nine years old he watched the United States lose to Russia in the Olympic Games in Basketball. He then told his mom that he would win a gold medal in Basketball at Olympic Games. When Michael was twelve he pitched two no hitters in the Wilmington, North Carolina Little League. The "G.O.A.T.", is coming used term in the sports world meaning, The Greatest of All Time. In the National Basketball Association, when you mention the term, the "G.O.A.T., everyone assumes of one name and one name only, Michael Jordan. Michael Jordan was an innovator of the basketball work and influenced many different people and players that inputted & mimicked Jordan’s style of play and implicated it into their own game. In today's generation, there are several players that many average day people would consider these players on the road to becoming a Jordan type of player, potential or maybe even greater; players that may be able on road to sharing a Michael Jordan type of legacy includes Kobe Bryant, Kevin Durant and LeBron James.
But what makes people buy the name brand Nike? They have great advertisement. I love to watch Nike commercials; they appeal to me as an athlete. The commercials show the inner fight in people, breaking records, becoming a stronger person, being the best you, and being the best athlete; you can be overcoming anything. I find their advertisement to be very inspiring and motivational. The Nike slogan ‘Just Do It’ plastered on so many products inspire others to get out and ‘Just Do It,' no hesitation. Nike tries to appeal to you to buy their products by placing their apparel on professional athletic. Everyone knows Lebron James he has many young athletes that look up to him and want to be just like him. What do they see Lebron James wearing? Nike apparel, for the kids that want to be just like him, they want what he has. So they want the Nike look. For me personally, I see Nike products and logos at just about all sporting events, which is a great strategy for the business.
The sport of basketball places significant and spontaneous forces on the feet, ankles, and lower leg of the participants. Their shoes must be able to absorb and this pressure to prevent the participant from getting seriously injured. The basketball shoe frenzy began with the "one- design" era of the Converse All-Star "Chuck Taylor" basketball sneakers in 1917. The Converse's (or Chuck Taylor's) construction was a rubber sole and canvas upper. It was specifically designed to be an "elite sneaker" for professional basketball leagues. The only choices that consumers had between the shoe's designs were a high-cut model or a low-cut model. It was a pretty basic sneaker that came in an array of colors. Today, basketball shoes are high tech advancements of participant performance, as well as a fashion accessory. Basketball shoes have swept beyond the basketball world and penetrated the world on a large scale, but its purpose of "protecting players" remains the same.
In 2008, Michael Jordan made his 200th wish to Make-A-Wish foundation. The CEO of the Make-A-Wish foundation even stated that, “Michael Jordan is one of the all-time greatest athletes, but he is an even better person,” said David Williams, “He has changed the lives of hundreds of wish kids and their families for the better, and for that, we are forever grateful” (Christensen). If the CEO of Make-A-Wish can say that Michael Jordan is a better person than a basketball player, and then he must be quite the person considering how dominate of a player Jordan was.
Nike does have the most sponsored players and they do have the most popular sports player on their side but just because they have Lebron James doesn't mean they have the best shoe/clothing item(s). Adidas have collabed with one of the most sensational artist out there and his name is Kanye West. Kanye West has brought up a whole new level to the shoe game and sponsorships. With creating one of the best designer shoes in the world, The Yeezy, he has singlehandedly changed the Adidas brand forever. “Kanye West is probably the most influential artist on the planet right now and sports adidas – even though the stripes are missing on his own Yeezy line.” (9 Reasons why adidas is better than nike.) No one wants to get the Lebron 13’s or Jordans when yeezy’s are out there. Adidas have several sponsorships/Collabs and they are revolutionary, way more than
