For six years all I did was internal and external security in the United States Air Force. I had to qualify on the job every year because each requirement had to be updated. Security is the backbone of the United States Air Force. We worked on birthdays, holidays, and even special times when a Commander designated a personal family day time off from work, we were the ones wiping the sweat off our brow to prepare ourselves of working on that special time off that was provided by the Commander. Another name that was provided to us was security forces and we were the gatekeepers of the base. Our media within this modern world is truly important to the viewers to monitor what is going on within the place in which they live and also within other countries as well. A gatekeeper is defined as an organization that exercises a great amount of control over how its products are sold and used. The media can be compared to a gate, and the journalists, advertisers, PR professionals, and entertainment executives can be compared to the gatekeepers of information. Some people understand from a business perspective that many people with an important story profit from uploading media that was missed by the gatekeepers that are listed above. It is important of those gate keepers to thoroughly verify truth of a story by individuals that are not the gate keepers of the media.
