“Agricultural workers maintain the quality of farms, crops, and livestock by operating machinery and doing physical labor under the supervision of farmers, ranchers, and other agricultural managers.” (Agricultural Workers, 2014)

Farm work can be very dangerous.
According to CDC:
“Agriculture ranks among the most hazardous industries. Farmers are at very high risk for fatal and nonfatal injuries; and farming is one of the few industries in which family members (who often share the work and live on the premises) are also at risk for fatal and nonfatal injuries.” (AGRICULTURAL SAFETY, 2014)

To help the agricultural workers, their families know how to prevent pesticide exposure.
Pesticide exposure and its effects can be minimal as long as agricultural workers and their families follow the appropriate safety guilds and know how to protect themselves away from the pesticides.
By the end of the year, when asked agricultural workers and their families, at lease 50% of people know and clear about the syndromes and effects.
By completing this objective, workers and their families will change in awareness, knowledge, attitudes, and skills of using pesticides.
During using pesticides, all agricultural workers and their families will operate in the appropriate measures.
Workers will change their behaviors of using pesticides:
Wearing protective clothing
Washing and changing clothing after operation
Spraying pesticides downwind
Avoiding drift after spraying, etc.
By the end of the year, there will be 50 more health centers in nationwide to assist agricultural workers and their families on pesticide exposure related …show more content…

Health screening is an important health promotion activity to prevent acute and chronic pesticide related diseases.
Surveillance
“Surveillance for occupational pesticide-related illness and injury is designed to protect workers by determining the magnitude and underlying causes of over-exposure to pesticides in the workplace.
Surveillance also serves as an early warning system of any harmful effects not detected by manufacturer testing of pesticides.” (PESTICIDE ILLNESS & INJURY SURVEILLANCE, 2013)
Health education
Assign program workers to local for assistant, bilingual English and the local language.
Conducting classes to teach farm workers and their families the knowledge of pesticide and its exposure.
Conduct local health fairs that allow farm workers and their families to discuss the pesticide health issues with the program workers and each other in the farm.
Health education
Enforce training for pesticides users at lease 2 weeks before for new pesticide user.
Teach how to use (spray, mix, carry, store) pesticide
Teach how to prevent
Protective clothing
