It takes two to tango The decision of taking a life shouldn’t be left in the hands of a poor decision. Imagine not having any say in whether or not you want to live. Babies for example have no say in a mother’s womb, but they can feel and sense what the mother is feeling. A reason to demolish an unborn child’s future should not exist for any means. I, Salim Yang, am against abortion. Everyday an unborn child is aborted whether it’s because of rape, wrong doings, relationship failure, or being financially unstable. The thing that never crosses our minds are the fact that there are some loving infertile couples who are waiting to adopt, promising them that they will cherish, value, and raise the baby. But instead, some women choose to throw them in a trash heap, or even a garbage disposal. Why is it that some of us kill off the unborn instead of choosing the better option of giving up for adoption? I understand that we as women can become emotionally attached to something that we’ve carried inside of us for 9 months. But if we can’t afford or we don’t want to be reminded of something that’ll scar us forever, instead of giving up a life, why not gift a life? Not only does abortion demolish a life, it harms a mother, resulting her to not be able to get pregnant later in the …show more content…
For her to go out and set her mind at ease to save the unborn human is really a heroic thing in my point of view. Although the Roe v. Wade is still in effect there are still many protest to end abortion. Ending abortion will always be the world’s biggest problem, whether we like it or not it’s not up to us to decide. On August 2014 Abortion became a hot button issue in Texas. The judges forced abortion clinics to become surgical clinics. Having said that, not only did the rate of taxes raise but it also imposed an undue burden on the right of women. Until today women still face serious threats to their right to
Every day, an overwhelming amount of human beings’ lives are terminated. The culprit: unwanted pregnancies. Many woman are (not by choice), becoming pregnant as a result of unsafe sex, rape, and other things. So what is one to do when they discover that they’re pregnant? They have some alternatives: (1) have the child and raise it (2) have the child, then give it up for adoption (3) get an abortion. Sadly, many women choose alternative three, unaware of what they’re getting themselves into.
Overall, the ending of one’s life should be left in the hands of that one individual and nobody else. People should be free to determine their own fates by their own autonomous choices, especially when it comes to private matters such as health. No one person’s life should be at the mercy of what other people believe would be best. Life or death and the way they will be carried out or ended, should be nobodies choice but the individual.
Everyone of you hearing this, whether I’m reading it to you or you are reading it yourself need to understand that you need to thank god your mothers wanted you. We are blessed by each person on this Earth, including you. Justin Bieber, Celine Dion, Pope John Paul II, even Steve Jobs were almost victims of abortion. Could we imagine a world without the technological advances discovered by Jobs? No matter what your point of view is, whether Pro Choice or Pro Life, the fact alone that your mother did not think you were “inconvienient” or “a financial leech” should be enough to make you Pro Life. Of course it isn’t always this simple, but no matter what, you’re here. Count yourself lucky that you were given the right to life. Now, why is it just that you get to breathe the same air as I, yet millions of abortions are occuring each year? Let me rephrase that. Why is it that you live and say you are Pro Choice when there are milliions of babies, innocent lives killed each year? No matter how many times you say it isn’t viable therefore it doesn’t have a right to life doesn’t change that it is indeed a life. Someone (Pro Choice obviously) brought up to me the point that bacteria is life. Why do we get to use
Abortion is a voluminous topic today all around the world. Differing viewpoints on abortion are recognized in politics, religion, and throughout the general population. There is a small amount of people who are nonchalant on the subject. Women have abortions for many different reasons and according to certain groups these reasons are either justified or not. Everyone tends to have their own articulated opinion, and many vocalize tenaciously what they believe. Pro-life individuals along with religion are sanguine that abortion is ethically and morally erroneous. Whereas those who are pro-choice say that abortion is inconsequential and the mother’s choice is more important than the fetus. Reasons to not get an abortion include risks involved in receiving an abortion. In some cases death can occur. However, there are other alternatives to abortion. For example, raising the child and adoption.
Today, abortion has become one of the greatest controversies throughout the world. The debate on whether or not abortion should become a legal option continues to dismember not only Americans, but citizens of other countries. There are people who believe abortion is a women’s civil right, and those who consider it as an immoral act. There are those who believe personhood begins at birth, and those who believe personhood begins from the moment of conception. Many contradictory statements lead to the separation of two groups: pro-choice and pro-life. While a pro-choice supports a women’s “right to privacy”, pro-life supporters are against such an action considering it murder, but why force a female to go through such a dramatic change because of a pregnancy?
It is saddening to see humans of the female gender, who find themselves in a situation that requires introducing a new life into the world; to abort such a precious gift. Many may wonder how these poor, innocent, unborn children are then discarded after the abortion procedure. One cannot fathom the reason of these gruesome murders that happens within these medical facilities. Babies are disposed in the red waste bins of these facilities, and later incinerated. Some may either be flushed down garbage disposals or even be sold off for research purposes. The issue of abortion is not just a social one, but also a human rights issue among the unborn children. I believe if the human rights of these children has been violated, then all other rights of humans are certainly meaningless.
Most people agree that abortion should be a rare procedure. To accomplish that ideal, our society must proactively, by providing resources and support, offer pregnant women the hope that carrying their babies to term is not the end of their plans and dreams. Then their difficult decisions would really be true choices vice acts of desperation. After all, it is just as much “pro-choice” for a woman to take charge of her life and courageously carr...
This seems to be an immeasurable political fight. Abortion versus adoption, why more women choose to abort their babies than give them up for adoption. It is true that the process to abort an unborn baby is less expensive than adopting one, however, this is only true for the adopting family. “Depending on how far along you are in the pregnancy, the cost will range from $500-$2,000 for an abortion” ("Abortion or Adoption"). Granted that some insurances will cover most, if not all, the cost of the abortion if it is deemed a medical emergency. Conversely, most abortions are a mother 's choice and are not deemed a medical need. This being said the mother is responsible for the payment of the abortion in full. “There is no cost to you if you choose adoption. In fact, pregnancy-related expenses are paid for by the adoptive family, which often include medical care and living expenses” ("Abortion or Adoption"). Birth mothers do not have to pay anything out of pocket to place their baby with an adopted family. With that being stated, the process of adoption is essentially cheaper for the birth mother in the long run. The question supplicates, why do so many women still choose to abort their babies? “Some mothers choose abortion instead of adoption because they believe they can’t deal with wondering about where their babies are for the rest of their lives” (Brown, 2012). In cases such as this, open adoptions are the best answer not aborting the baby. If more mothers were educated on all the different types of adoption, then maybe more mothers would choose adoption over
One of the most controversial issues in this day and age is the stance people take on abortion. The two main positions that people take are either of pro-choice or pro-life; both sides, although polar opposites, tend to refer to both the issue of morality and logical rationale. The pro-life side of the debate believes that abortion is an utterly immoral practice that should be abolished. On the contrary, abortion should remain a legal procedure because it is a reproductive right; its eradication would not only take away the pregnant person’s autonomy, but would also put more children in financially unstable homes and the adoption system, and would cause an increase in potentially fatal, unsafe abortions.
Why should any woman be denied the choice to do what she wants with her own body? Women should have the control to decide what is best for their own body without the interference of the government’s laws. Making abortion legal can save and protect the lives of the pregnant woman and unborn fetus. The abortion procedure can help a woman’s life by saving her from financial stress, difficult responsibilities, risky health concerns, emotional disturbances and it also corresponds with the law . The procedure helps the unborn fetus by preventing an irregular health, emotional, and social development.
I am Kendall Holland, I am an eighteen-year old, female senior at a small Nebraska high school. I am writing you in regards to the talk that goes on about abortion procedures becoming illegal. I am aware that nothing has been passed yet, but with so many changes happening in our country I can’t seem but be worried about this topic.
The deliberate termination of a human pregnancy is called an abortion. Abortions are a widely debated subject throughout the world. In the United States, abortions are legal due to the Roe v. Wade law. Some would argue that abortions are ethnically and morally wrong, while others assert it is simply a woman’s choice. There are a number of legitimate reasons why a woman would choose to abort her unborn; financial status, age and health are just a few. With today’s technology and a certified doctor, this procedure is harmless to both the mother and her fetus. Abortions are viewed by many as dangerous and immoral acts of humanity against an unborn fetus. But in reality, abortions terminate a pregnancy that could result in a child being born into a family with inadequate finances, irresponsible parenting, and possible health problems. For these reasons, abortions offer a perfectly viable solution in situations that would otherwise result in children being raised under circumstances that are at best, not ideal, and at worst, harmful and potentially dangerous.
What if I told you that right now someone was choosing your fate whether you should live or die? And what if I told you that there was nothing you could say and nothing you could do to change their mind? Ladies and gentlemen there are thousands of children in that very position at this very moment right now someone is choosing life or death for child they've never even met before that someone is their mother and that choice is abortion. Abortion means ending a pregnancy so that it does not result in the birth of a child but it doesn’t matter how you say it, abortion is basically taking a life. Approximately more than 40 million abortions take place in the world every year since 1973. That is 40 million innocent beings being killed, taken away the chance to live a life full of their own of endless opportunities.
1.0 Introduction 1.1.1 Abortion meaning Abortion can be resolved as the deliberate termination of a women pregnancy, which is performed during the first 28 weeks. An abortion is considering a medicinal procedure of ending a pregnancy. An abortion is similarly recognized as a ‘termination’ or ‘termination of pregnancy’. The choices to have an abortion is extremely private and changes radically from individual to individual. If a person is thinking about an abortion, assume cautiously about what's right earlier than taking movements.
Abortion is a very controversial subject that has been continuously argued over for the past few years and probably for many more years to come. Women who are making the decision are effected emotionally, mentally, and physically since their bodies are going through many changes which it is not accustomed to. The main controversy is, who's right is it to abort? Many will argue and say it is the woman's right to chose what she does with her own body, but what about the father's right? The man's involvement in the abortion decision is not about the woman's choice, it is about his own responsibility to her and the child (Arthur 1999). There are two sides to this abortion topic: the pro-life, which is those who are against abortion altogether, and the pro-choice, or those who believe it is the woman's right to choose if she wants to have an abortion. These two groups offer different solutions to the problem. The pro-life solution is to have the child and basically live with him/her. They believe abortion is not an answer. The pro-choice solution is abortion because of reasons they feel are appropriate.
