Movies, wow! I mean everybody loves movies. People of every age, race or nationality, give sometime to themselves to sit and watch movies. Movies are basically a source of entertainment through which people relax, get some knowledge or learn something for themselves or sometimes watching a movie is for pure enjoyment. So the question is how people watch movie or film or any other video? Sometimes people watch a movie at home and sometimes they prefer to go out of their house and enjoy some outdoor experience of watching at some cinemas or theaters. People who are not so influential by social circles try to stay at home and watch a movie, which does not only make themselves comfortable but save some money as well. While on the other hand people …show more content…
Which meant that at home if you want to watch a movie you can watch it any time you want, and so this will not be the case ever for cinemas. I never heard of any Cinemas which are open 24/7. For cinemas you have specified times to go out and watch a movie. There is no choice so you have to be careful about the dates and timings of availability of a particular movie. You will have to take some time out from you busy schedule to go out and watch a movie in cinema which makes people sometimes annoyed. People now a days don’t have much time so they look for short cuts and try to watch every movie at home according to their …show more content…
It does not matter where people go or stay. Watching movie is just a source of entertainment and an informative process from which a person can learn a lot of things. It’s the impact which causes changes on a person’s life not the place or area. A good movie can wake your conscience or make you laugh or may be gives you real chills and horrors. In the end it’s all about the movie’s subject which the countable factor is. It can be provided either ways. Either you stay at home to watch a movie with your family or to go out with your friends to watch it in cinemas, it will just cause an entertainment or informative delight in your life. The craze for cinemas is still there that people get sometimes so inspired by the cinematic experience that they mimic the whole cinematic atmosphere in their home with large LED’s and good surround systems. Entertainment is the main factor which binds both together. In my opinion watching movies is always exciting experience for everybody. It is another way of understanding different cultures, norms and technologies. It is a person’s own choice to decide the place for a movie according to the mood and taste. The factor of enjoyment and learning can be get from either ways. Although the trend of watching movies at home is increasing day by day as people are now making this as their primary choice does not mean that the cinema owners should shut the doors of their large auditoriums. There are still
Sparking debate over the nature of its viewing, film is now being questioned in social, political, and moral arenas for its potential impact on an audience. Critics claim that watching films is a passive activity in which the viewer becomes subconsciously absorbed, and creates a reliance or "addiction" to the medium, and thus can be influenced by any perpetual concepts or images. Advocates, however, argue that viewing such programs is an active process in which audience members are able to choose to what they are exposed to, and interpret messages based on their individual needs and background. Perhaps both views are too extreme? Film from the 1950s to present, as will be explored in this essay, is an extremely useful medium, often underestimated within the label of "entertainment".

Working at a movie theater, I am really able to see how movies are important in the lives of many people. To see the emotions evoked from these films is something really amazing. I think the best example of how movies compose our world is what I saw at a movie premiere a
Watching movies is the most enjoyable activities for many people. With friends, families, and a boyfriend or girlfriend, many people prefer to spend their time by watching movies. Not only in America, but in other countries, movies always come in the first place of entertaining activities for many people, and it also has become a major entertainment or habit in our society. Besides of entertainment, some movies also educate people about many things such as places, politics, loves, and so on. After the long hard works, movies help to refresh the mind and to relax for many people. Some people prefer to go to theaters because of its sound system and big screen, but some prefer to watch at home. I always prefer to watch at home because of convenience, intimate, and cost. In your opinion, which is fun? Watching in theaters? Or watching at Home? People have to decide whether they want to go to the theater or at home. It isn’t a hard thought, but its similarities, pro, or con of watching in the theater or at home could be a decision for people. Watching movies in the theater and at home has some similarities, but the differences between watching in the theater and at home are cost and convenient.
In a movie theater, there are experiences that some will not have while at home and watching Netflix, such as the enormous screen, comfortable movie theater seating, and the theater speakers. Netflix can be used in a causal way with friends, but the main purpose of watching a movie is enjoying the experiences one can get from the movie itself. While at the movie theaters, the environment is completely different, because everyone is supposed to be quiet or else they risk being thrown out. The experience does not compare to the feeling someone gets when that intense scene appears, and they get immersed into the atmosphere of the theater. Movie theaters have the opportunity to give someone an unforgettable experience unlike Netflix, because the ambiance is truly unique and unmatched by anyone’s living
Film induced tourism has grown in every aspect around the globe whether its because of the curiosity of the people to indulge in this kind of tourism or just being a part of the artificial world. Then it comes to define film tourism many authors have different views, according to Hudson and Ritch (2006a), it is describe as people visiting places which are directly influenced by films to see the landscapes, building, places as it was shown on TV, advertisement or in cinema screen. In addition to the meaning above for film induced tourism, Riley & Van Doren, (1992) further added that people visiting these places may be overwhelm with the romantic gaze of the place, and feel emotionally attached to it and also with the focal points of the film such as actors and their attributes, where they used to live, themes, social patterns and so on. However this essay will also discuss the originality of film tourism and its implications towards the destination and how it effects the local culture and community.
It can be difficult to re-create the experience of going to the movie theater. However, home theaters and in-home entertainment has become more popular as online streaming has taken a precedence in the industry.
Going to the movies is probably one of the most enjoyable pastimes throughout the world. From western society to the Asian countries, watching movies is pleasant for nearly anybody. I currently work at the local cinema. Therefore I have decided to study the culture of moviegoers. I looked at many different aspects within the past months. I took time for myself in small, little, breaks to study and document the actions of the people. From their attitudes entering and leaving the cinemas, to the way they behaved and even the way they clothed themselves. I will be going into the field with a general question in mind of what I wish to learn. “How do individuals respond to each other in a moving going experience?” I will also look into how families communicate to each other compared to how a group of friends interact. In contrast to that outsider or etic outlook at our moviegoers, I will take an insider or emic perspective of the site and actually go out on my days off work and watch a movie portraying an actual moviegoer while no one in this culture within Stars will suspect a thing.
Movies take us inside the skin of people quite different from ourselves and to places different from our routine surroundings. As humans, we always seek enlargement of our being and wanted to be more than ourselves. Each one of us, by nature, sees the world with a perspective and selectivity different from others. But, we want to see the world through other’s eyes; imagine with other’s imaginations; feel with other’s hearts, at a same time as with our own. Movies offer us a window onto the wider world, broadening our perspective and opening our eyes to new wonders.
Movies are an unbelievably important escape for many people across the world. Films can take a viewer to another place or time and since the beginning of society, performances have been a staple of cultural. Films show a perception of reality, for better or for worse. Many see films and the cultural that it is in and think that it must be a accurate depiction, which sometimes unfairly puts a stigma on a group of people or a cultural. Hollywood has been able to expand all over the world, and many think The objective of promoting American culture through Hollywood movies is to dominate the other cultural communities around the world and become the universal culture of the world.
A movie theater has its advantages and disadvantages. One advantage is that people can see the showing of different movies that have been newly released. The disadvantage is that, that is all there is to it and nothing more. At home, you can control the variety and ways to watch a movie. People buy many movies to watch at home and it can be anything at any time even at any place. The only bad thing about it is that they cannot see any of the newest released movies that recently came out in theaters. There are two types of ways people watch movies at their homes. One way is people already own DVDs or have bought many of them and start watching them in their DVD players. The other ways are streaming a movie through the internet. For this to happen, people would mainly buy the monthly subscriptions such as Netflix, Hulu, or Amazon Prime. Through this subscription people do not only watch movies in their homes but they also watch television shows. The only downside is there is a very limited number of movies added onto these
What is also available to us due to digital television is films that have perhaps just finished in the cinema streamed into our own home without having to go down to the video shop or have to spend money in stores. There are channels which are specifically catered for different genres of films for example, if a person likes up and coming film makers and some iconic films Film4 is possibly the best place to look or if they have children and want to watch a traditional Disney movie obviously the Disney Channel is where you should look. But what happens if you want to watch a specific movie this weekend and it isn’t on any channels? Well you can now go online and do one of three things, search to see if your film is online and watch it there, order if off a shopping webpage like Amazon, or you can now rent your film off companies who send the DVD out to you in the post. It can come to define who’s being influenced. Movies are a huge source of influence, because they’re also a form of entertainment. Movies can influence us because they influence storytelling, entertainment, and culture.
