INTRODUCTION

Trade union is an organization of workers who have joined together to create fairness and stability in the working environment. They work to protect their members from discriminations and unfair labor practices. Moreover, their main objectives are fair wages, less working hours and better working conditions for the union members. Trade unions also provide their members with legal advice, financial assistance, grievance hearings and training programs.

Trade union has to be formed as a continuous organization on a permanent basis. Unions’ main aim has to be protecting their members from all types of hazards and insecurity in the working environment. They communicate with the management on behalf of their members and stop the administration from taking any irrational or discriminatory actions against them.
Industrial revolution in Great Britain was the reason behind the creation of modern trade unionism. Because of economic and political factors in the system, the relationship between employers and workers were driven into a drastic position. There must be a bargaining process which will specify how the meetings will be arranged and who will be attending the meetings from the employer side and also union representatives. How they will communicate with the employer on agreements and disagreements which arise in the workplace will also be defined in this process. This process will also describe how issues that arise in the workplace will be negotiated. They should also specifically take matters like paying and working hours into consideration in the agreement.
