Bethune Cookman University is a wonderful, loving historical black university. With every positive there has to be a negative. There are many challenges for Bethune Cookman University’s First Time Freshmen. Financial aid is the greatest of all. Being a private institution makes expenses more costly than State Colleges. First Time freshmen paying tuition and/or college loans make money matters at the top financial challenge. Students just coming out of high school do not have a lot of money.Not all students will be ready for the financial hassall, BCU Financial aid department will to put them through. Not many students have saved up enough money even if they have been working since they were younger. Which are Federal loans to parents can borrow up to 100 percent of the cost of a student’s education. If Bethune Cookman lowered tuition, and book prices, people may have more opportunity to attend.The benefits of lowering college tuition cost include the fact that higher education also will increase the accessibility of a college education. Most people are horrified of student loans because of the interest rates. Loans, both federal and private, help thousands of students every year finance their education, but that money needs to be repaid. Tuition makes it harder and harder for people to go to attend because they may not be able to afford it. Many parents like to help their children for at least the first semester of College. Most parents cannot be paid for their child’s whole education so it is hard to get them through the College.
