Introduction.
Everybody is different and learn in many different ways as they grow up or the environment they are grown into. I believe education is important for everyone in this world. Not only will a good education will get you a good job, but also very good manners and having respect for others. Learning a good education all depends on the person and the person teaching it. Education to me is hard to explain and hard to even come up with a study method, but that’s just me. We all have our own way in studying and preparing when it comes to a big test. Finding a good study method to be easy is very hard to come up with. Everyone question’s on how we need to educate our youth or how it can easily be done. Before kids go to an actual school,

I personally do not agree with this statement, but after looking at some ratings from two different types of school, I know believe that having the best school and teachers help students more in their education. Having a good school educational system is a greater chance that students will pay more attention and will push themselves. Some people think sending their kids to a boarding school or private school is better than homeschooling or attending a public school. Any child can make the education good, depending on how far they are willing to learn and put time in to it. Some kids think having a nice teacher will be easy on them and let them pass with an average grade. To me, the best teachers were the mean and hard ones. They are the ones that push you to the limit and make you want to learn more. There was never any fun and games when it came to learning. The main idea to having a good education is listening and understanding. Understanding the concept and paying attention can bring you a long way in learning. Education is not only about school to me it is also what your family teaches you from the right to wrong. Some of the advantages of having an education are having a long-term career job, become smarter, self-discipline, communication skills are better and so much more. In a young age, we praise our children when they do …show more content…
Most private schools and homeschooling are the best way I believe have a better outcome. The public schools are highly selective depending on how students behave and listen. With private schools and homeschooling, they are stricter with the students and want the students to come out what they are there to learn from. They are expensive for reason, and that reason being is to have that student prepared for college and their future. Public schools are more laid back to me. If some of the teachers there see students slacking off and not paying attention, sometimes they won’t try there hardest to make them learn. But it all depends on who it is and where they will learn. The role of a teacher plays a big part to the kids in school. To me, if the teacher is not strict on you or simply gives up on you easily, then what’s the point in learning? Some disadvantages in today’s world we bump into than a hundred years ago is our daycare center and preschool. A hundred years ago, Maria Montessori had opened up a daycare that required having children learn individualized projects (Berger p. 253). She realized that children’s thoughts are much more different than adults. When one of my kids went to daycare and my oldest went to an early head start, I saw the difference with the learning and education they were coming home with. My oldest son’s school had a curriculum where the
Even our President Barack Obama has spoken about how important it is to make sure the children are being educated to their fullest. Learning the ability to think critically and problem-solve gives way towards national prosperity. Book, Higher Education. It is easy to see that there is a strong urge to get the best education you can receive for a reason. Education is and will always be an important factor in our society....
Public school, again, especially high school, really helps a child form bonds that could not be formed in a homeschooling environment, such as teacher and student bonds. Being away from others their own age excludes students from learning this skill, which could definitely lead to problems forming relationships in the future, whether that being professional relationships or personal relationships. “I’m not saying parents can’t do that, but it’s not the same. Teachers have a big influence.” (Cavazos). Parents can be influential for their children, but it would be very biased because they control what the child is learning. Parents who do not allow their children to learn the same curriculum that public school attending children are learning are sheltering them, in a way; prohibiting them from learning the things that public school will teach them. “Improving students' relationships with teachers has important, positive and long-lasting implications for both students' academic and social development.” (Rimm-Kaufman). Students and teacher bonds are one of the most important bonds because if a teacher gets through to a student, then that student has a better chance of making it in the
Education has been the pathway to a better life for many years now. It is full of opportunity for many Americans. Education is not for every child but it is necessary in the early part of kids’ lives to learn the important things. Thanks to our government, we have public education in which we have free kindergarten through 12th grade. Public education is paid by through our taxes. Because of this, the government runs the schools and that can cause some problems. There will always be room for improvement in the public education system. I think the biggest thing we can do to improve K-12 schooling right now, is to go to a year round school year schedule.
Home schooling provides a different look on today’s educational system. Although I would support that every American child should receive at least two years of public school before graduating from high school. Homeschooling is becoming more popular every day, with a growth rate of 7 to 15 percent per year according to Vicki Bentley HSLDA Toddlers to Tweens Coordinator. There are many aspects of homeschooling that someone should consider, financial commitment, social interaction, physical exercise, the commitment parents have, and how it affects the student going to college. I personally have been on both sides of this issue. I have been homeschooled and I have been to public school. Student should have
Home schooling should not be the first option to teach your children because it contributes to the lack of interaction, which leads to communication issues that are needed for children. Many opinions are often formed against the thought of a child being home schooled versus a public or private school. This subject has been argued many times in the past and even today. There are many different outlooks on this situation. Several believe that with home schooling, children are learning more than those that attend a school. They also miss out on a lot of things such as the lack of communication skills and the learning method that is used in a college setting. This was backed up by Romanowski when he that stated “Critics charge that homeschooled
I believe that the purpose of education is to produce the next generation of leaders who are intelligent and have great character. This idea is supported in the article “The Purpose of Education” by Martin Luther King. Martin Luther King Jr. was a civil rights activist who fought for black and white people to have equal rights in America. He writes about the true purpose, and meaning of education in the article by saying, “Education must enable one to sift and weigh evidence, to discern the true from the false, the real from the unreal, and the facts from the fiction (MLK1).” This quote from the article explains that being academically educated is very important. It will help people stand up, be a leader, and take charge to make the world a better place for everyone. That gallant leader will argue against the fallacy, lies,
There are many families that are taking their children out of public and private school’s classroom to move the classroom to their homes. In both articles, the parents have different reasons for why they are choosing to homeschool instead of keeping their children in public or private schools. Homeschooling is not for everyone and cannot be taken lightly. There are many different reasons why families would rather homeschool instead of sending their children to public schools. According to parents.com, Jamie Martin wrote an article on What Is Homeschooling? Martin, goes on to state that homeschooling is a progressive movement around the country and the world, in which parents choose to educate their children at home instead of sending them to a traditional public or private school (Martin, n.d).
...are put in society. Schools were setup to educate people who are not educated and help students to their best ability in order to prepare them for the outside world (Lyman,Isabel). With most schools just passing kids through school instead of taking the time to actually teach them, they are not doing society a favor because these kids have no skills to bring to society to better it. Homeschooliing provides the personal With the ever growing population of kids being homeschooled it is no surprise that more people are starting to realize the benefits of homeschooling and seeing it as an positive alternative to public schools. Some states are having problems with regulations, but most are doing just fine with the adjustment. Homeschooling is a good idea because of religious issues, its success on standardized tests, and the options open to kids who are homeschooled.
Perhaps the most significant impact of home schooling is the actual learning. There are many academic advantages. In a home schooling situation, there is no doubt a more individualized program of study than any traditional school can offer. Whatever a child's pace or level of ability is, it can be met directly. A parent or tutor can focus exactly on what the child needs extra help or improvement in, as well as what the child excels at.(Ray, 2014) In a public school, teachers must teach to "the middle" and have little time to cater to an individual student's needs on a regular basis.
Homeschool versus public school has been the age old debate. The argument has always been whether homeschooling can be more beneficial to a child than attending public school. There are always some advantages for a child who is homeschooling but there are also a lot of disadvantages to. The decision on whether a family chooses homeschooling over public-school is always up to the parent to make. Whichever one they choose they have to make sure it’s the right choice for their child. When parent decides that homeschooling is right for them, not only is that parents give me up their freedoms and any spare time they would have. The parent also has to have the ability to switch their hats for parent to teacher. This is a very important skill to have
Homeschooled children’s personal education doesn’t get overlooked. According to “homeschooling vs. public schooling: making the right choice” in the Huffington Post, Marion Lewis states, that public schools focus on teaching the average student; which means any student above or below average doesn’t get what he/she needs. With so many students it’s no wonder many students are getting overlooked. Marion states that class sizes are too big, with class ratios being anywhere from one teacher with twenty students to a whopping thirty students to one teacher. Homeschooling helps fix this problem by having individualized education for each student. With homeschooling, the parent has the opportunity to pick out of the many curriculum options the right one to teach their child the way best suited for them. Marion also mentions how one on one teaching helps the parent (in this case the teacher) find and target the students weaknesses to help focus on fixing those weaknesses.
Education is essential for everyone. Education plays a critical role in the development of a generation of individuals that is virtuous and in turn contributes to the development of good people. Through education, a person is able to develop mentally, but also physically and socially. To the youths, education is important as it helps them to develop the principles of life, enables them to make the correct career decisions and also prepares them in the pursuit of the goals that they may have set for themselves in life. I strongly believe that a good, heck, or even a regular education is a right that cannot be taken away. Education is a right and not a privilege.
For some parents, deciding on a school for their children can be a difficult decision. Many parents do not spend much time thinking about it; they place their children into the local school designated by where they live. Others attended a private school themselves and found that it was a beneficial experience and therefore want the same for their kids. But which is better: private schools or public schools? While there are many advantages and disadvantages in each (nothing is going to be absolutely perfect), we are going to focus on the benefits of an education in the public school system, or in other words, schools funded by the government that are for anyone to attend. An accurate definition found in the Encyclopedia of American Education (1996) states: “Any elementary or secondary school under control of elected or appointed civil authority, supported entirely by public tax monies, and, with few exceptions, open to all students in a designated district, free of any tuition charges.” (780) These include elementary, secondary schools and vocational schools. Public schools are a good choice in education because they provide a wide variety of subjects to study, are diverse in their student body, available to everyone, yet can sometimes be misunderstood.
Education is as important as the air we breathe. It is the most important possession a person must have. Education is beneficial in many aspect of life especially, personal and social it is the only possession that cannot be taken away from you. Education is important because it will open up the windows of opportunities. In this competitive world having a good education is as important as the air we breathe because it is our weapon to conquer the world.
I think private school are better and have more advantages than public school. There are upsides and downsides for both schools. Private schools have newer facilities and other materials. The benefits of private school for the students are that they have smaller class sizes and better teacher ratios from the students. Private have a high standards for discipline and respect to one another. Seventy two percent of parents agreed to send their kids to private school, because it has greatly improved students’performance and brighter experience and achievements in there harder lessons (Maga 2). Students will also have more individual attention. Students are motivated by the teachers to help in their studies. Parents would also have more opportunities to get involved with their kid’s education and that is very good thing. Private have flexible teaching methods for the students to do better. There are many advantages for the students (Elizabeth 1). Let’s talk about disadvantages. Their goal is to offer better education without making a profit (Amy Witherbee 2). Private school charge tuitions and that sound n...
