When the word adoration shows up, what comes to mind? In the Oxford Dictionary adoration is explained by saying, “deep love and respect; worship.” When one tries to wrap his or her life around the word adoration, if expressed in the right way, it is beneficial to not only oneself, but those around him or her. personal definition of adoration is to have respect and love for someone or something, even if troubling times are present. Throughout the world, adoration means different things to different people.
I have interviewed two junior high students, one high school student, my mother, and my grandmother and I have received their input on the word adoration, including their personal definition, an example of how adoration affects their lives, and a simile or metaphor for adoration. My two junior high students are Tate Thompson and Avery Marler, both at the age of 15 years old. Tate’s personal definition was that “Adoration means you adore someone or something.” Tate’s example is that he adores his family and his simile is, “Adoring someone is like being happy.” Avery’s definition was that “Adoration is the act of adoring someone or something.” Her example is that she adores time with her family and friends. Avery’s metaphor says, “When you truly adore something, nothing gets in your way.” Both Tate and Avery’s definition line up with the denotative definition of adoration. Next, I interviewed 18-year-old high school student, Dustin Courtney. Dustin’s personal definition of adoration stated that, “Adoration is loving people for who they are, no matter what happens.” I feel that Dustin’s definition also corresponds with the dictionary definition closely as well because adoring someone involves times of struggle, but you end up s...

...hat your “after-life” will reside in the golden streets of Heaven and that we will be able to spend the rest of eternity in the midst of our God. This is my number one favorite verse and I know that when I go to heaven, I will have adoration for my God forever. After looking at all these verses, it seems to me that they do not stray from the original meaning of adoration either. The original definition states “worship” of something and the verses mentioned line up with that exactly. As christians, all we try to do is live and breathe for our God and worship Him, to adore Him.
Adoration can be represented in many other things, rather than just books. These other types of literary examples include some songs and a movie. First, I will show two examples of songs that show adoration. Take “Faithfully” by Journey for example. These are some of the lyrics for the song:
Throughout Bernard's collection of sermons, he justifies the central concerns of the “Song of Songs” within his selected works. He develops a creed of mystical contemplation, meditation, and personal joining with God. Bernard using an allegorical approach, he wrote about the “Song of Songs” and his sermons creating the metaphor of the church, stressing the importance of love in knowing service to God. “Song of Songs” has many interpretations within the love poem, and Bernard conveys them on discussing what the “Song of Songs” is, dives into what the kisses are that indicate the progression on the soul, describes who the four kinds of spirits are, and identifies the bride and Bridegroom.
..., but still pleads for God to "take me in" (ll. 41), and promises to "pay...in happiness" for mercy. Once again, the speaker demonstrates the same desires for physical treasures that he expresses in the first stanza as he asks God to "give mine eye / A peephole there to see bright glory's chases" (ll. 39-40). Even in the God's kingdom, the speaker reveals his humanity as he focuses on ornamentation which starkly contrasts with God's divinity as He has the ability to show love even for sinners.

Shakespeare My first impression of Much Ado About Nothing is that it would be a love story. Although it is categorised as a Shakespearean comedy, I found the many "funny" parts of the play were foggy and required you to read the scene over a few times before you understood them. But then again, I had to read the whole scene over again a few times to understand anything.
A Study of Teenage Infatuation in William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet. Love and infatuation are both strong emotions that most will encounter within their lifetime. The two feelings are often misunderstood, but are differentiated through their outcomes and stability. True love does not only rely on physical attraction, but also on one’s personality. When one is truly in love, they accept their partner’s flaws and perfections.
Hopefully when one sings or hears a hymn or praise chorus they will be able to recognize biblical and theological themes. In the two songs that I have chosen the imagery is present and powerful. These two songs are among my favorites and hopefully I will do them justice within this paper.
What is art? Art and perception are deeply interrelated, since our ability to experience and comprehend artistic works is strongly biased by our own perceptions. Accordingly, any definition of art should emphasize the importance of perception in creating and experiencing art. Yet, each person has his or her own opinion of every artistic work, biased by his or her own perceptions, causing each person to define art as a whole in his or her own subjective manner. Hence, in my opinion it is impossible to create an objective definition of art, if art is something that each person perceives and experiences in a wholly subjective manner.

Love. In all its facets and colors, love is understood and accepted as a concept by even the most primitive cultures. But what is love? Many writers have debated this subject. Many works have been produced detailing the understanding individuals had of the concept of love.
In Shakespeare's romantic comedy Much Ado About Nothing, Shakespeare focuses a great deal of time to the ideas of young, lustful, and intellectual love. Claudio and Hero, Borachio and Margaret, and Benedick and Beatrice, respectively, each represent one of the basic aspects of love. Shakespeare is careful to point out that not one path is better than another. The paths are merely different, and all end happily. Shakespeare also explores the different aspects of courtship, weddings, and the different facets of love.
There are few questions quite as esoteric or as futilely subjective as the philosopher's "What is…?" Yet posing and answering this question in reference to the identity of art is critical to further discussions of our subject matter in this course. There is no way for us to discuss art until we have a working definition of what art is; we can't adequately use the term until we've defined it. To this end, I would like to submit this as a working definition: "Art is anything created for the purpose of communicating the sensations of emotional response to, or creating emotional response in, those who experience it."
Love, the single feeling that generates the funny sentiments in our stomach, giving us the warm pleasures in our body, causing us to feel joy, and to believe every aspect in our life will constantly go right. In addition, causing us to receive an accelerating, appealing feeling that makes us want to rejoice. Love can be a speeding of your heart, but it can also be nerve-racking. Our hearts rapidly begin to pump, making a rapid beat— “ba-boom, ba-boom, ba-boom”. Attempting to describe love is a rigorous task, but it is possible. However, the easiest detail to describe and understand about love is the concept of what it is about. Many people may obtain different views and definitions regarding love, but their ideas tend to unite at some point.
What does the word “love” mean? Love comes from the Latin word "amo," and according to the Long Man Dictionary of American English, love is an emotion normally used when speaking about feelings and caring for someone. Now, love as we tend to say, does not come from the heart, but instead through a chemical reaction, which happens in the brain. But, no matter how unromantic that sounds, love is still a very strong feeling and its meaning is amazingly difficult to define. Hence, "love" is misunderstood and is constantly misused. Nonetheless, in the Christian Greek Scriptures, the Bible teaches with clarity about love, because in the ancient Greek dialect, love was broken down into four simple words: agape, philia, storge, and eros.
Great feelings like partnership, remembrance, and parenthood can accompany love, but feelings like heartbreak, torment, and grief can also accompany love. “A strong affection for another” is not an all-encompassing definition for love. Love is happiness and fairytales but is also pain and sadness. No dictionary could truly define human emotion, as words are to simple to convey the overlapping complexity of the feelings we experience. Love is what builds us up and what breaks us down, but most importantly, it is what makes us
