Everyone briefly knows who Adolf Hitler is and some of the bad things he did, but they don’t know his background and the true monstrous things he did. Hitler was one of the most powerful and notorious dictators to ever live. He was the leader of the Germany’s Nazi Party and will be remembered for the awful things he caused and did.
Adolf Hitler was born on April 20th of 1889 in Braunau am Inn, Austria. His parents were Alois Hitler and Klara Hitler. He had eight siblings who were named the following: Paula Hitler, Angellea Hitler, Alois Hitler Jr., Edmund Hitler, Gustav Hitler, Otto Hitler, and Ida Hitler. then attended Volksschule Lambach as his primary school from 1897 to 1898. In Linz, Adolf later went to Bundesrealgymnasium from 1900 to 1904. A gymnasium where Hitler grew up is a type of school with strong emphasis on academic learning and provides secondary education in parts of Europe, or like a high school. Adolf than attended BRG Steyr from 1904 to 1905. Hitler was very interested in art and wanted to make a career out of art, but his father did not like this.
Adolf and his father often fought about his career choice because Alois wanted Adolf to enter the Habsburg civil service, while Adolf was set on pursuing visual arts. Hitler was mostly detached and became an introvert following the death of his brother Edmund in 1900. Later his father died in 1903, but Adolf continued to pursue his career in arts by convincing his mother to permit him to follow his dream. Hitler took the entrance exam to Vienna Academy of Arts and failed to gain acceptance. At the same time this was occuring his mother was passing of breast cancer when she later died in December of 1907. Adolf now suffering the lost of his mother just weeks before, moves to Vienna to try to reboot his path in arts in 1908. Hitler sold his paintings of landscapes and made little money. He spent a lot of his time reading and soon became interested in politics. He was influenced by the German Racist ideas spread by the politician Georg Von Schonerer. today. You may not know, but Hitler served in World War I. In 1913 Adolf moved moved to Munich, Bavaria. There is he petitioned and was granted to volunteer for a reserve infantry regiment. Hitler was later deployed in October of 1914 to Belgium. There he served and was injured twice during World War I. Hitler was shot in the leg in the Battle of the Somme in 1916. Hitler was also was in a British gas attack where he was temporarily blinded in 1918. Germany was defeated in the war on November 11th, 1918. Although they were defeated Hitler was rewarded with two awards for bravery. One of these awards was the rare Iron Cross First Class. Because of the defeat many people, including Hitler, believed they lost to patriotic traitors. Hitler returned to Munich. Once in Much he joined the small German Workers Party. He quickly climbed the part’s ranks. Hitler than left the army and focused on the party’s propaganda efforts.

Adolf grew up not having as much money as they would like but still made it work with what they had. Besides them, he did have a stepbrother named Alois and step-sister named Angela from his father's previous marriages. His father had two marriages before Adolf was born. Outcomes from the war still exist today such as the controversy in Israel, the creation of the United Nations, and the awareness towards protecting people’s rights. Hitler’s reign of power in Germany resulted in many horrific incidents; but we used his actions as a way to better our world by preventing people like him from coming into power.
Centuries later and the name Adolf Hitler still rings volumes till this present day: discussed in history books, talked about amongst intellects and commoners alike, and despised by many for years to come.
